Slipstream Watercraft

Slipstream Watercraft changed my life. I'm not kidding. I used an 80-pound canoe on a weekend camping trip in 2020; and the portages nearly destroyed my interest in paddling. Then, in September 2021, I visited the wonderful folks at Slipstream; and I test paddled several different ultralight canoe models. Wow! They were so light and easy to maneuver. I ordered my custom-built canoe that day; and 4 weeks later I had my new best friend, Slipstream Sal, a beautiful, blue SportDuo 13 ultralight canoe. In one year, I've paddled over 40 different lakes, streams and rivers; and Sal has enabled some truly amazing paddling/camping trips with multiple portages. I'm in my 60's; and I feel 40 years younger! By myself, I can easily put Sal on or off the roof of my car, carry Sal up and down 1-mile rocky paths, and paddle Sal through gorgeous scenery nearly anywhere. And, because of the adjustable tandem seating, I have many times taken a partner padding with me in Sal to share in the joy. This is a review of service, rather than of a boat. I've ordered a boat, two of them actually, at Stan's suggestion. Order two, no down payment, when they're ready pick one (or none), we'll put the other in stock. Where else does this happen? No where I've come across. Slipstream has answered all my questions, both when I visited the factory, and since then when I submitted my orders. They've committed to trying to find two custom colors I wanted. The price they've indicated is cheaper than the price I calculated when I put the order together. They've said they'll update me as the boats progress. I believe them. If my boat is as good as the service I've received, I'll be a lucky man. Tod Lloyd

Bought a Wee Lassie model a few years ago. Absolutely love it. Size, weight (or lack thereof), quality all perfect for carry and travel on Adirondack Lakes. I use it for photography and access. Great people; great quality.

Hi this is drive VANTGE logistics here is fiber conversion is nice place when you enter first go on scale in the room go on the scale park and there is phone pick up and give information and the go straight around the building and right and ahead open yard then agian right there is dock 1 b and when you enter street truck gps show you near compay no truck route but you follow google map when google map end there is sign no truck route but there you can go for local delivery take 2 exit ti enter the company there is sign in the street first trun no truck you take 2 trun . There is overnight you can park lot of space but bef and after delivery you go on the scale tanks

My wife and I have been putting our brand new Slipstream 12' St. Regis through the paces (it's technically hers:), and what a joy this canoe is to paddle , transport, and to just look at . Stan and Kathy hand craft a beautiful series of boats, and were very generous with their time and knowledge. We are already planning our trips for next year. Many thanks to everyone at Slipstream .

Very nice factory and owners. Knowledgeable and helpful. Courteous and friendly. Took lots of time and answered every question. NOT boat snobs! Ordered our first custom tandem pack canoe today.

If you're looking for a lightweight canoe, definitely check out Slipstream. Their people are willing to explain and share information with you, and answer lots of questions from ignorant people like me. We took some of their canoes out for trials, and walked away with a really good sense of what we were looking at.

I ordered from here because they said they could make me a custom boat. This was a HUGE mistake! First, I sent swatches of a custom color and they said they could match it, no problem. They said my boat would be ready in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks, I called and they told me one more week. Another week came and went and I heard nothing. I called again and they apologized and said one more week. This went on for 4 months. Then they told me they didn’t quite get the color right. The color was not even close to what I had ordered! Well, I accepted the boat anyways because it was autumn by then and I wanted to try it out before winter. The boat was built wrong and the cheap, clip in kayak seat that they sent with it, didn’t fit right. The thwarts were in the wrong place, uneven, and one was missing! The seat slides around. I called and they told me to follow the directions they sent. Well, according to THEIR directions, the boat was built wrong! They said to wrap the clips around the thwart behind the seat and then clip it to itself. There is no thwart behind the seat! I am attaching pics of the directions and the boat for reference. They then told me all I had to do is face the other direction..So the foot pegs would be behind me?! They said I didn’t need to use the foot pegs.
