Makris Lobster & Steak House

The staff here were amazing and fast. We initially requested to sit on the patio, but it was too hot, so we asked to be seated inside instead. They immediately granted our request and quickly fixed our seats inside. Despite the busy location, they served our order very fast. I had mussels, and they were just as good as I expected. Can’t wait to have a vacation in New Hampshire again and try their other food!

Slamming whole belly clams, fries, scallops, and steak cooked perfectly medium rare! Offered 2 size portions on the fried platters and the large was perfect. (Almost couldn't finish it;-Had one clam that was no good but that happens and is to be expected!) The service was great, ample free parking, clean bathrooms, casual pub style ambiance, live music was great (singer guitarist was awesome playing soft and alt rock) we went at a 7ish dinner time but it was extremely LOUD in the dining room. (Hoarse trying to talk-I could not hear our server even right next to him) Would absolutely go back.

Our lunch was spectacular. Outside back deck seating was wonderful. While their was no entertainment at this time (Wednesday mid day) they have a laundry list of local and imported talent to grace their very nice back yard with large bar area.
The meals were terrific and our server gave us nothing but the best. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the offerings. Our meals were presented well and very flavorful. Zero complaints.

Came here for a quick bite after being on the road for a while. I loved all the food and we enjoyed the scenery. They have delicious oysters and the burger was just great!

I'm from California and moved to NH recently and have been searching for "my place" for months now. I found it here at Makris! The food , the atmosphere the staff! All excellent!

The best stuffed mushrooms we'd ever had. Amazing service and incredible food. It's definitely a place to add to your must visit list when in New Hampshire!

Tucked away in a cozy corner of the Makris Lobster and Steak House, Concord, NH, we enjoyed our Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer, 10 oz. Montreal Steak Tips with Cajun Fries, 30 oz. Prime Rib with Baked potato; and their delicious Cheese Cake with Whipped Cream/Strawberries and Italian Lemon Cream Cake. All of the food was tasty and the meats were tender, juicy and cooked perfectly! So, good!!!
Our Server, Jeannette, was very nice, very attentive and quite knowledgeable about the preparation of the Prime Rib selection. It’s also notable that Shane, the General Manager, was also on point! We appreciated that he took time to checked in with us about our meals and if we were having a pleasant dining experience. Well, I must say that the answer was an absolute,… Yes! And Yes, like so many others, we highly recommend Makris for a great meal and exceptional service. Prices are reasonable. (*Please note: “All prices include cash discount. First time. I have been wanting to stop for several years while visiting family. Finally did. Service and food are awesome.

Love taking the bike for a ride and stopping at this amazing seafood restaurant for some fresh lobster and haddock! Always delicious! Prices have gotten a little high but what hasn’t? Love this place!

Phenomenal food and service. I'm Greek and the large calamari with fries and Cole slaw was out of this world. Cooked to perfection as it was all tender. The chef knows the timing for cooking to done without cooking too long making it rubbery. I know, been eating and cooking this since I was old enough to eat solid food!! Great place for meals or just a few drinks at the bar. ( But drinking and smelling the aroma of great food whets the appetite..lol )

I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to get some good seafood. I ordered the fried haddock which was good. They were starting up music bingo when we sat down and we managed to get bingo right at the end of our meal. Our server Mary Kate was excellent and took great care of us. Would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

It was a last minute decision to stop by on the way to the lake. From the outside it’s looks nice and with all the bikes outside you might think it’s just a biker bar but when you enter the restaurant it is quite large.

The decor is a bit campy but clean, nothing fancy. The servers were very nice and helpful and my lobster was fantastic. Of course it’s kinda hard to screw that up:). Toni had steak tips which were cook exactly as she ordered them and the quality of the meat was very good.

I don’t think there’s any question the quality of the food is excellent and I saw the owner walking around constantly, which is always reassuring. He appears to run a tight ship.

The bar was packed on an early Friday evening. Live band setting up so they have a good bar following. Looks like a favorite place for bikers traveling 106.

Definitely worth a try.

We arrived for a late lunch/early dinner and sat on the back patio. It was bike week and there was live music. That vibe isn’t really my vibe, but OMG the ambiance was actually relaxed and fun, the service was amazing, the staff was more like a family than co-workers (I spotted them helping each other without expectation), and the food was perfect! We had boiled lobster dinners and beer. A perfect time on a sunny patio in New England!

We’ve eaten here several times. The food is consistently great. This time, however, the waitress was new and the service was lousy. It happens.

The seafood is always fresh and they have lobsters in many sizes. Portions are generally on the large size.

Prices are moderately high but for the type of good served they’re actually pretty reasonable.

It’s a great casual atmosphere (I give 4 stars to that) but they have some of the most amazing seafood up here. For example, when’s the last time you had a 9 pound lobster on the menu? They cook it just right, crack the thick portions and fill you up. Bacon scallops were spot on as was the rare tuna steak. Desserts weren’t bad either! Waitress was super sweet and helpful, going out of her way to keep us happy.

Not sure why some reviews say the seafood isn't good- we had salmon, shrimp, and lobster Mac & cheese and loved it all! Great price too. Service was A+.

Even after all the years I've been away, this place hasn't changed its standards.

Fabulous food and amazing service!

A little loud in the restaurant, and I can't say I love the bar area being open to the restaurant, as that's where the volume comes from. I don't like to have to yell to have a conversation across a high top.

But a wonderful experience and so many memories.

Always great seafood. Scallops are big and plump, and the clams are briny and full.

Have always wanted to go and finely made it in. Went for my 33th anniversary. Matt was great. They young gentleman who picked up the empty dishes was very kind and respectful, Mgr Shane was great. He visited every table, making sure things were going well with each customer. This is my new place to eat and next time raking the whole family. The food was so good and worth the price. I’m was very impressive they renovate and expand building. I haven’t been there like 7 years. The condition was great and staff were wonderful. I appreciate they take RSVP over phone and able to hold many people.
The waitress was so professional and stay calm with so many customers. I was very impressed.

The food was yummy and fresh. I got fresh twin lobster and it was so tender and delicious.

Some of my family members wish their steak was tender instead of overcook and too tough to chew. Salmon was good but wish it was cook more.

Overall was great experience. I recommend to anyone especially Lobster and seafood.
