The Common Man Concord

I've been to the Common Man several times, and it never disappoints. The food is amazing, pictured are the mussels and a side garden salad, very good. My friend had the lobster soup, and she said it was amazing. Prices aren't bad for the quality you get. The staff is friendly and helpful. There's a cheese bar if you want, although we didn't have any. I like the atmosphere. It feels like you're dining out, but it also feels comfortable and familiar. Will definitely go again!

The common man has been a favorite of my families for a very long time. The cheese and crackers they have for an app while you wait are amazing. There is such an extensive menu that can easily accommodate anyone, their kids meals and prices could easily be the best kids options in the state. We got the almost escargot mushroom appetizer 10/10. We got a pizza to share and our son got steak tips. The food was perfect and the wait staff were very nice. My sons meal came with dessert he was very pleased. They have a very expensive drink menu also, wish there was a common man in my backyard!

Walked in for lunch service, upstairs at the bar area. Paul provided exceptional service throughout our dining experience. We ordered a Mac and Cheese pizza and a side of tots. Both were cooked perfectly and had plentiful amounts of flavor. Atmosphere was rustic New England and was very relaxing. Combined with the seating and table it felt like we were eating at home.

What a great option for a lunchtime take away food. They have special parking in the rear for that and a private entrance. The other side (main entrance on the north side) tends to be very busy at lunchtime so it’s nice to have this easy entrance on the south side.

I was in the mood for a vegetarian burger today and they make one of the best here - homemade with nuts and served with avocado hummus and roasted peppers and onions with a side of chips. Easily the best veggie burger in Concord.

And for those that enjoy the crackers and cheese you get while dining in, they also toss them in the take away orders. Yay!

Staff is always super friendly here. I arrived 10 minutes early and everyone walking by asked if I was being helped and if they could get me anything. They are just so friendly.

Price is awesome too. For $13, that’s a ton of tasty food. Highly recommend them for lunch and dinner!

From the time I entered the restaurant Laurie greeted and answered all my questions I had before I sat down. She is very pleasant and friendly great benefit for the restaurant! She even came by the table to check on how everything was,. She let me know the cheese I could buy some, and I did! She is amazing!
The waitress I had is awesome as well she made sure everything was gluten free for me.

This is my favorite restaurant bar none. Free unlimited cheese and crackers, great food overall, and some lovely quirks you simply have to experience to believe. It's the perfect New Hampshire experience.

Staff is very accommodating and friendly. We had a large party and called ahead to see if they could do separate checks… they do! The waitress went out of her way to take pictures of us on our phones! Great place.

A couple of TX folks driving through Concord and a Google search led us here. I ordered the pot pie and when I say this was hands down the best I have ever had, I don't mean by a little bit, I mean there's no contest. I'd be very interested to try the rest of the menu and I'd I find my way back to Concord, I'll do just that.

The place was packed, but the wait to be seated was fairly brief. It’s as if The Common Man restaurant of Concord, NH, is on the radar of lots of people looking for ambiance, great food, good service and reasonable prices.
Once seated, we were invited to help ourselves to crackers and special cheese dips to nibble while waiting for our appetizer to be served. Loved it! We also enjoyed the rustic relaxed vibe with just the right touch of casual elegance. And I must say that it was a pleasure to meet Lucy. She kindly served our meal and brought much cheer, charm and her expertise in fine dining that made our time there a true delight. —Can’t say enough about this lovely lady! Kim, the restaurant manager was also very cordial as she made the rounds keenly checking that all was well at each guest table.
Now, the food!…. A “must try” appetizer is the Almost Escargot. It was SO good! If you love mushrooms, you’ll love this dish and its presentation. The Grill Room Steak entree with a garlic butter baste was delicious. This steak wasn’t quite as tender, but even so, I will definitely try it again for its wonderful savory flavors. The other entree was Bacon Onion Chicken. Both entrees were served with fresh veggies and a choice of potato or rice pilaf. We went for baked potatoes with sour cream and butter. The chicken dish was deliciously different and satisfying! Dessert was Chef’s Choice… Berry Cheesecake with White Chocolate. Scrumptious!
Now for the bottom line… We were extremely pleased with everything. We recommend The Common Man highly and look forward to our next visit!

Visited the restaurant for our fourth time. This is a second review and once again, GREAT FOOD and WONDERFUL SERVICE!

Tonight our Server was Logan. He was very attentive, confident, cordial and made sure that we were enjoying our meal and visit to the restaurant. We appreciated that!

Our appetizer was the Buffalo Chicken Empanadas… Delicious! Loved the flaky crust and we enjoyed the Grill Room Steak, topped with bacon chimichurri. Served with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. The other entree was their Apple Maple Chicken… Super Delicious and even more tasty than the last time we ordered it. …The veggies were good, but I wish that they would offer another choices with these meals. The Dessert was Berry Blast Cheesecake which was absolutely fabulous!

Well, other than not having a choice of vegetables, everything was very, very good and we continue to recommend The Common Man Restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.

*Review for Wedding Catering* Anna Stone was amazing and attentive throughout the entire process of planning the catering for our wedding. We chose an off-site location and buffet style reception and were a little hesitant at how the food would taste. Everyone LOVED the food and the service was amazing. We chose the short rib and walnut apple stuffed chicken and both options were delicious and well received! Book them for your wedding or upcoming event! 5 stars.

Not my first visit to a common man but my first visit to their Concord location. The atmosphere is very similar to their Lincoln NH Location. I love the open rustic lodge feeling. The food was excellent as always and Logan, our server was very sweet and charming. Sadly due to Covid the complimentary snacks don’t even come close to what they use to be. Hopefully when business returns this amenity will improve. If you haven’t been to a common man definitely check them out!

We were looking for any dine in restaurant on our way from Franconia Notch to Boston. Decided to stop in Concord, found an exit from highway and saw this restaurant immediately. It has very unusual interior, like a mix of all kind old vintage things. Our table was on the second floor, pretty spacious interior, with 2 liquor bars, many tables, restrooms, elevator. The A/C was very powerful, so we had to bring our jackets. The food was simple and delicious, even the kids menu didn't have some junk, but had healthy varieties. There was a separate table with crackers and some homemade spreads made with cream cheese for free.

Great food, but we didn’t book a reservation, ended up waiting for an hour to get a table. But I’d say it’s worth the wait! The food was very delicious and the amount was a lot, at least to us. The price for dinner was reasonable and we ended ip super full with two appetizers and two main dishes. I’d suggest to book a reservation before arriving so you don’t have to wait in a crowed.

A great restaurant. The food was very delicious, the salmon salad, the burgers and the cake were all well made and special. The design of the place was nice and catchy. On top of that THE SERVICE; from the moment you walk in you will be greeted with smiling waitresses, and the service at our table was superb. Arial with her lovely laughter and positive energy added to the experience a great value. A place that I would go back to for sure. Well done everyone

It was so good we ate here two nights in a row while on vacation.

This place was REALLY good and sooo cute! 💕 Great staff! Love the free cheese and cracker station, as well as the free garlic rolls and sweet bread! Putting the receipt in a book was a cool idea. I highly recommend if you are in Concord, New Hampshire! Thankfully we beat the crowd as it became very crowded.

I think the thing that gets me about this place is the atmosphere more than the food. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but the people were great and the decor plus the old beams made it feel more cozy. Plus, in the restroom, instead of music playing it was a silly joke track. That made the night better.
