Dixie Cafe

Nice hometown diner. Our 1st time here and we were pleased with the food, service and the restaurant was clean. Very polite waitresses and prompt attentive service.

I order my eggs sunny side up. One on my plate was broken. I don’t mind if one is broken or both. To my surprise, the cook came out and gave me an egg sunny side up. He apologized for his mistake. Now that’s customer service. That was first!

it’s a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place, but that’s exactly what drew me in, and what i love to find when i’m traveling. my server was kind as can be, super attentive, and made for the friendliest start to my drive. since i stopped in on a monday morning, it wasn’t super busy, just myself and a few pairs of regulars, but that meant i was served quickly but also never felt rushed. i had the homemade corned beef hash and it was exactly as you’d expect - chunks of beef, hashbrowns, and peppers and onions that were delightfully fresh and crisp (with a nice char from cooking). a simple breakfast, but exactly what i hoped for. can’t ask for much more than that! i hope to return next time i’m in the area.

So beyond happy to see this amazing restaurant back open! And am excited to show my support and appreciattion by frequenting here as much as possible! Definitely the best in the area. Great food, Great prices, Nice employees.. what else can you ask for?

We had the Thanksgiving dinner. It was excellent. We all had more than enough and it was wonderful. I didn't have to cook for a change.

Dixie Cafe is an old school diner. The food is very good and the service is excellent! I had a western omelet with American fries. It was really good. Our server brought out our breakfast quickly and filled up our drinks fast. I know you are going to love Dixie Cafe!

Amazing biscuits and gravy can definitely tell the biscuits are homemade as well as. And they actually listened to me and made my bacon well done when I told them to burn it !!! Will definitely be going back!!!

Update: (12/24/23) Nothing has changed from what you will read below. My wife and I just finished up a turkey dinner and it still is the best we know of anywhere! They don't use perfectly sliced "lunch" meat like alot of other places. These folks roast the turkeys right there and pull the meat right off the bones! Generous portions of stuffing, mashed potatoes and corn make up the rest of the dinner. If you like turkey, you need to stop by here on Fridays and Sundays. That's when they offer it. Do try it!

One of downriver's best "bangs for the buck". My wife and I were alerted to this place many years ago and we have been hooked on it ever since! NEVER have had a bad meal. ALWAYS get more than what you pay for. They have cut their hours somewhat for the same reason alot of restaurants have: shortage of staff. Don't let that stop you ... do try the Dixie Cafe; it's a wonderful little family restaurant. 🤗

Food was great. Family takes alot of pride in the food all home made. They do have a credit card machine. They do close at 3:00 they give you so much food you can eat 2-3 times on one meal.
