My first time in Springfield and this place is exactly what I wanted it to be. The owner is super amazing and funny.

This is a great little place that has a great assortment of beers on tap from all over the world. Knowledgeable bartender /owner. I really enjoyed it.

Summer 2022: Best beer selection you will find between Chicago and St. Louis. Such an amazing range of draft beers! The bartender and owner Bill is very active in the local beer scene and is full of all kinds of fascinating trivia and stories. It's always a blast to stop in and chat when we're in town.

May 2021: 24 taps of pure gold, no filler. So many gems here to try, for beer lovers this place is heaven. Indoor seating is back, and tables are spaced out. Patio tables outside, and a large beer-to-go selection. Best beer selection in town!

2020:
A great addition to Springfield's downtown beer scene. Terra Ferment is laid back and a great place to try different beers. They get a lot of unique selections that are hard to find elsewhere. Currently there is outdoor seating only, and curbside pickup for to-go orders.

Great selection of local beers here like Anvil & Forge, Hand Of Fate, etc. Obscure imports as well as new regional ones from around the state like Scratch, Dovetail, and Half Acre. Lots to choose from, and something for everyone. Several nearby options to BYO food.

Went here today and will definitely be back! Fantastic selection of beers from places all around the country and world you cannot get anywhere else in Springfield. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and will help you know what you might like. Great view of the Old State Capitol as well. Highly recommend!

Good beers, and I like that they offer a variety of glass sizes, including really small ones. It’s easy to try several beers there in one visit.

If you like unique beers from Europe and America and your in Springfield, you need to visit Bill at Terra Ferment. He knows a ton about beer and is a little odd (he's originally from Lincoln) and it is the best beer bar in town. He even has some good ciders on tap, check it out.

Exactly what downtown Springfield needed, outstanding selection of craft beer and Belgian exports. Lower level entertainment area is very nice. Owner is very knowledgeable about his product.

Great draft selections and canned beer. Easy to order and pick up and love the fact you can get anything in single cans making it perfect to try a few different things. Definitely appreciate having Terra Ferment in Springfield.

24 always rotating craft beers on tap and 26 pages of bottles and cans for carryout. Small "hole in the wall" place knowledgeable owner bartender. This is a must stop place in Springfield.

This was our first time stopping by here, and it won't be our last. The place itself is really nice - although you have to go on a mini adventure to get to the restroom - and they have a really good beer selection at reasonable prices.
