The Butternut Hut

A small, friendly bar with a nice-sized, covered area for smokers. Good mix of patrons. Low key. Frequently has live music. Large "outdoor" area is completely under roof and heated in the winter for smokers. A good place to sit and enjoy a cigar.

The prices here are unbeatable, and the bar tenders are very accommodating. We visited this place at the recommendation of one of our friends who is local to the area, and we could not have been more pleased. If you are looking for a kitschy bar with humble drinks, look no further. Its always a point in the establishments favor when it's popular with the locals; the joint was hoppin when we left near the wee hours. Next time we are in town we will definitely stop in.

This place is my favorite place in town. It’s not just a place to drink. It’s a place for good music. A place where you’re treated as family. A place with “regulars” who are the most kind and welcoming people. I’ve been going here 9 years and NOT ONCE have I had a bad time. I recommend this place to all my friends. Logan, Kevin, Armi, Alisha, Kadi, Demi, Astrid and Tod are some of the beautiful souls you’ll be happy to meet! Go there and enjoy!

This is not an upscale bar but you may find upscale people. Either way, the folks are always kind, the drinks are always cold, and they play the music we like without a cover. Love this place!

With this place, looks can be deceiving. It looks rough but the staff was amazing and the overall vibe was great. The bar tender was attentive and everyone there was super friendly to us out of towners. I would visit again.

It's staple here in Springfield, it's family owned, and a local watering hole for those who know!! Juke box runs the music inside (always) and outside, unless a band is scheduled. Great bartenders and all the domestic favorites and foreign, local beers, liquor and they serve pizza.

Fun little place to go after work on Fridays! Love the atmosphere and it's always nice to be able to sit in their patio area it's not inside but it's not outside either! Perfect

I will say my review is very bias. This is my go-to like "Cheers" or "MacLaren's"

I absolutely love to play the slots at this place, the bartenders are always very friendly, i dont normally go to bars but this is one of my favorite places to go.
