Motel 6 Springfield, IL

This Motel 6 location is the best I've been to. The location is great the staff, and rooms are amazing. Out of all of that one thing sticks out the most. There's a worker named Prince. This kid is one of the most amazing people I've ever met. He's hard working, polite, respectful, caring, passionate, has drive, and patience. Everytime I stay here he goes above and beyond to make sure my stay is delightful and hassle free. This location wouldn't be the same without him. This company is beyond lucky to have such a skillful worker in their ranks. If you need somewhere to stay I highly recommend you come down to Motel 6. Ask for Prince and he will get you set, with no issues or hassles. If I had a business if want he running it, and I say that with upmost confidence.

Folks, this is a $70ish per night motel. It's not a hotel, it's a motel. I do not think the low ratings I see are warranted.
This is a Motel 6. Keep his in mind when booking and I'll say the same for EconoLodge, Roadway Inn, Super 8 and a number of other motor hotels which people complain about.
That being said, I'm reviewing from the aspect of an over-the-road trucker. I needed a place to lay up for my 34 hour re-start and enjoy a break from sleeping in the truck when opportunity allows.
This is the nicest Motel 6 I have ever stayed at since the early days of Tom Bodett. According to the staff it was remodeled in 2022 and my room was nice, clean and without any infestation.
There are two convenience stores, a Chinese and pizza restaurant within 6 minutes walking distance.
Two major points:
1) This is a Motel 6 which the Motel 6 chain does not have fridge and microwave offered as standard amenities. The M6's I have stayed at DO have these available on a limited bases, but it's on a first come first serve basis. Always call ahead to reserve a room with these amenities if you need them.
2) There are six parking spaces for trucks with 53' trailers. I'm here on a weekend so all were open.
Staff was friendly and welcoming.
This property is marked as a favorite on my DEZL7 GPS and on my Google Map. I did call ahead and have a nice clean room with fridge and microwave.
Always, try to plan ahead 200 miles and be prepared instead of being disappointed.

I love this place it’s always clean the staffs is so friendly and very respectful. They know how to make your day I love them so much the housekeeping is friendly as well and they keep the rooms very clean I love them as well!! keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤

I wouldn't normally give a hotel 5 Stars, just because of the pricing scales that they use. This hotel staffs friendly people though. They go above and beyond and keep the place clean. Hotels may be expensive, but this one is really nice and the people that work there are friendly. The prices here aren't that bad either.

I have been a long term guest at this hotel and i feel very much at home here. The staff, notably Prince and Edna( front desk) are the best!! They go the "extra mile" to meet all guest needs and requests to the very best of their abilit6. I would like to add, that ALL staff members are awesome. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Also, this is definetly one of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed at. I give this specific hotel 5/5⭐!

I made a late night same day reservation online. Was able to get in the room less than 10 minutes after we got there. Friendly staff. At check out cleaning staff was friendly, said good bye. Left with a smile.

My husband and I thought this place was wonderful! Excellent price for an overnight rest. Crisp and clean and looked brand new. Not a single complaint.

Its what i expect in a cheap room, clean and inexpensive not super nice but i got what i paid for

If you are looking for a clean room with no frills and a reasonable price this is a good place to stay. However there is no breakfast. I will stay here again because the price was right and I even got to bring my dog here.

Can’t go wrong with this motel, clean bed clean shower, spacious room, it’s all you need for a night

It was kind of a bummer that pool was out of commission but when I actually found out that a tornado just hit the city I wasn't so bummed LOL. I was expecting the most run-down s***** place when I got this hotel for the rate it was and ended up seriously considering just living there.

I had to travel to Illinois for a funeral and stayed at Motel 6. The price of the motel helped because the trip was not planned and was a hit on my pockets and was emotionally hitting.The staff was friendly, room was clean, and pool was nice also.There is a cute family restaurant next door called the Hen House and the motel also was close to a gas station and other fast food restaurants. They are remodeling right now, but the crew was nice and respectful when working in the hallways.

We checked in later in the evening, after dark. The parking lot is very bright and well lit. It is a safe area to walk a few blocks at 9 pm and grab dinner. Room was clean and the TV adapter for a variety of devices was nice. Only thing of issue was the elevator had too much carpet fresh perfume.

We've stayed at many a Hotel 6 over the years, and this was the cleanest and most pleasant of them. The service was excellent, the people were friendly, and the room was spotless. The only downside is that the "Queen" bed was actually a Full, but it was comfortable and clean, which matters more to us than the extra space. (Although it would be better to be honest about the size of the mattress.)

I felt relieved the minute I walked in the door. The lobby was warm, welcoming and smelled Spring Clean. My 3 day stay was great and I loved the pillows and bed. I Slept better than I have in months. Thank you so much for making a business trip comfortable.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at on my cross country drives, and one of the best nights of sleep I have had in a while. The room was spotless and the location was quiet! I was traveling with my dog, and it is difficult to find a decently priced hotel that is clean, quiet, and updated. The front desk staff went above and beyond providing information and making sure I had everything I needed. There was no fridge or microwave, but this Motel 6 was absolutely perfect for a night's sleep on a road trip!

Our room was exactly as described in previous reviews; clean with a comfortable bed and fresh linens. What more could a weary traveler ask for. Staff is friendly too. Highly recommend.

I-net should have been part of the package for staying here and not an additional expense. Also, i-net is sold by the day. A day is a 24 hour period. The room is well kept. I like the hardwood floors. No musty odors from mold growing in a carpet. The room continues to be well maintained. The staff are excellent people. I would definitely suggest my co workers to stay here if their budgets allow them. I spend more time in motels than I do at home. Motel 6 is predictable and dependable with very few surprises.

The people were so friendly and the rooms were perfect! ... We did have a smell of cigarette smoke in our bathroom coming through the ventilation from a room above that was rented to a "non smoker" who really did smoke. Staff gave us air freshener to help alleviate the smell.
