Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Civic Center, an IHG Hotel

This hotel was very pleasant and very convenient. I was in town for the ZZ Top and Lynard Skynard concert at the civic center. It ended up being within walking distance. This is also walking distance of several fast food choices, including Shoney's. Our room was also clean with no smoke smell. That's a plus because many times, I've been told a room is nonsmoking, only to smell smoke upon entering. Customer service was very quick and friendly too. I recommend staying, especially if you're looking for a convenient place for Civic Center events.

It is an excellent hotel in the middle of a city that gives the impression that it is in economic crisis. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet, in the rooms there is a free coffee maker and microwave. spacious rooms, great view of the river. simple temperature adjustment . 2 king beds comfortable, clean, high, soft, I asked for more pillows and they were there when I got to the room. Recomendado al 100%. Civic Center, is in front 50 meters, crossing a street. Excellent attention from the hotel staff.

Clean and updated rooms and common areas. My room was at street level with an elevated highway and I couldn’t hear a thing, so very impressed with the soundproofing. Affordable pricing on my visit.

Great stay. Friendly front desk staff. we're coming back for the Lainey Wilson concert in November. Our room is already booked.

Comfy and quiet even though I was where I requested NOT be...by the ice machine and elevator. 😁 Perfect location for concert goers.

We loved this hotel! The staff was friendly, and their breakfast is so good! Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage.. well worth the money. Room was clean, bed was so comfy and close to downtown so we walked from the hotel! And checkout is noon which was nice!

Stayed just for one night on a trip out to Kentucky. Very clean, staff was very friendly, rooms are recently updated and always nice to have free breakfast. Traveling alone I'm always cautious of where I'm staying, and it was a great find during my trip.

Great place to stay room was spacious modern and CLEAN. The Dove soap shampoo conditioner & bodywash were a plus for me!! The staff was pleasant, and the food was over the top good!! The biscuits WOW!! Three meat varieties WOW!! The parking lot was a bit quaint but nothing to hinder another stay!!. The area in general was pretty Nice 😎 We will be staying there in the future.

Do you like breakfast? If so this hotel has a hot buffet with really good selection to choose from. Miss Brenda from kitchen is my go to for a carry tray. She makes sure I have enough to eat and take back to my room. If you travel and work third shift, this hotel will try to meet your needs. The rooms are comfy, clean and quiet. Also, if your a travel nurse this hotel has discount rates for all four hospital in the area. Overall everyone from front desk, manager, house keeping and kitchen will make you feel welcome and thank you for staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

I’m Diamond Elite though IHG, so I stay at IHG properties often. I can confidently say that the front desk workers at this location are the NICEST and most FRIENDLY of any IHG property I have ever been to. It’s so refreshing to have pleasant people at the front desk.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good and well taken care of. We went to a Trans Siberian Orchestra concert at the Charleston Collesium and the location could not have been better.

Staff was friendly during our check-in. The room very clean. We had their continental breakfast the following morning. The area was clean and well stocked.

The hotel was very quiet with the exception of a door opening/closing here and there.

It was nice having the Civic Center right across the street. We were able to stay at the hotel and walk to the auto show at the Civic Center.

The front desk had particularly excellent customer service. Everything is wonderful here.

Excellent spot to stay downtown. Within walking distance to everything you could want to do downtown. Short walk to the river or the convention center, and for those who can’t live without their Starbucks it’s also a short walk. Convenient and right off the highway. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

Incredibly clean, friendly and equipped. Probably the best free breakfast I've had at a hotel. Unfortunately, driving up to it is not very welcoming due to some poorly kept adjacent properties. Still felt very safe with kids in tow.

We was greeted with a smile, check in was fast front desk helped with questions we had about the area! Very clean and updated room! Hot Breakfast with everything you could want to start your day!! Will definitely stay here again!!

I had to come & leave a review! First off… I had an issue with my room & PROMISE made sure I was taking care of. Her attitude & professional is TOP TIER!! Thank you sooooooo much PROMISE!!! I know it’s hectic sometimes, but you got this!! Don’t stop being the sweet soul you are. ☺

You can’t beat these amenities for the price. The breakfast was fantastic. Our room was modern inside (we had a chaise lounge which I thought was very cool). The staff were all very pleasant.

Good location with nice service. Dining options closed by. Breakfast was good 👍
