Hampton Inn Charleston-Downtown (Civic Center)

I have to say the best place I have ever stayed at. All the staff was so nice and friendly. They didn't treat us like guests they treated us like family. They even made sure my special needs daughter was happy with her stay. Thanks again to all the staff and Isaiah White for making our stay the best.

Just have to notate that was just in a tornado warning and stopped here to take cover and the hospitality was amazing. Got my kids hot chocolate and snacks and got us cover just because they seemed to care. Can’t say enough about the kindness given in a scary moment. Will definitely stay here when I travel. I’ll go out of my way to be here because they went out of their way when they didn’t need to.

We stopped for the night on our way to Hilton Head. Rebecca checked us in and was very friendly, making us feel welcome. The rooms were nice-and clean. We stay in Hilton properties whenever we travel. Loved the percale sheets, and the little hand sanitizer packets provided. Breakfast was good. Thank you for making our stay great!

Very clean and comfortable beds and rooms. Water pressure was shower in great. Staff very friendly! One of the best Hampton Inns I've stayed at...will be back

The staff were very personable. Everyone was always willing to help you. I felt very safe there by myself. Breakfast was always good.

Good quiet hotel. I was able to walk from here into the downtown area. The hotel was clean and the lady at the front desk was great. I would stay here again if I were to visit again.

we stayed here for 5 nights and I'm definitely going to be staying here again next time I come up there!! the staff are all extremely helpful and nice, complimentary breakfast and cookies in the evening and it's right off the interstate. what more could you ask for honestly. the room was also very nice and comfortable. 10/10 thank you for a great stay!

Stayed overnight for a concert, there was a mix-up with our room and the staff were incredible about it and worked hard to resolve the issue! They even comp'd my stay due to the initial error without me having to ask. Cookies in the lobby in the evening and a really great breakfast in the morning. The room was large and clean. The staff were the best part!

Great location off the interstate. The hotel is very clean and very polite staff. My room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Highly recommend especially if you have an early flight the next morning.

Stayed one night. The staff were very friendly and asked if we wanted a bottle of water at check-in. The room was clean, tidy and even though the hotel was next to the interstate, you couldn't hear a thing from outside. Breakfast was good and had quite a few options. Check-out was a breeze. We'd stay here again.

Great location, easy on and off the interstate. Convenient to most downtown locations, dining options, gas, etc. Our room was a nice size, clean, with a microwave and mini fridge. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a busy time, with close to a full house most of the nights we were there. Staff took care of everything very well. The breakfast staff had their hands full, keeping things stocked. They were on top of things and very efficient. We had to leave before 6am. one morning for a medical appointment. They offered to let us get some breakfast before we left. We were appreciative but didn't have time, and they made sure we got grab and go breakfast bags to take with us.
We enjoyed our time here.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home there. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

We had 7:45am shuttle to airport on August 7, 2023, driver was employee of Hampton, and was on time, helpful, and very friendly. When at airport and checking in our bags, I realized that my AirPod Pros were left at the room. Called front desk, while in line to check bags, and the gentleman who drove the shuttle found my AirPods, then drove them to airport as quickly as possible, so we could go through TSA security and still catch our flight with no worries. Their was no charge for the service, but cash gratuity was given. I appreciate the awesome effort of the front desk and especially the gentleman who brought me my AirPods. Awesome customer service is still alive at this hotel.

My husband and I are driving back from Myrtle Beach, SC to Wisconsin and needed a place to stop for the night. We were not disappointed. The staff was great and the gal that helped me on the phone to make the reservation 1/2 hour before we got there was wonderful, she even suggested a great pizza place. The common area in the hotel was clean and so was our room. We had a great night sleep. I wish we could have take. advantage of the noon checkout but we needed to get on the road again.

Mgr. Kellie does a great job! The property is clean & in good shape. All the staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast was well attended and the attendant was very friendly. Hotel is pet friendly. Patrick was super helpful when my battery was dead on our day of departure. If you need to be downtown this is a good value! We will stay here on our next visit.

More than 5 stars! At the end of June, my fiancee and I were on our way back to NW Ohio from a quick weekend in Virginia Beach when our car died on I-64. There's more to add as to how awful that was, but for time's sake, I'll get to the review. We arrived at the hotel on a Sunday morning. They originally had nothing for us until possibly early afternoon. Then, a few minutes later, Kelli told us she got us a room. Kelli is a godsend!! The staff were great and very courteous! The hotel is very nice and clean. The hallways have a clean, fresh scent. The room was excellent; nice and clean. There is a pool, but we never used it. The continental breakfast was always warm and delicious. If we ever need or want to stay in Charleston again, this will be our first choice by far. Thank you for turning a bad experience into a good one!
