Briar Flats RV Resort and Stables

Lyz and Virgil Smith are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. They will bend over backwards to help you out. No riff raff in the park everyone is very nice. The facilities are very clean..nice big shower rooms laundry facility, very nice pool big pavilion with bbq grills horse stables, you would be hard pressed to find anywhere nicer than this. It's out in the country so very quiet and peaceful and the way they have it set up is really nice. And as I said Lyz and Virgil are some of the best folks you will ever meet..this is my second time here and have never stayed anywhere I enjoyed as much as this place.

This is the best rv park that we have stayed at hands down. The people are friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms are always clean and has a laundry facility on site. The owners are wonderful people that care about the guests.Thank you and keep up the great work!

Briar flats is the best park in the area. The owners take care of the park professionally. The pool is always available in the summer. Security is the best. The people are all friendly. I rate this the best in the state. 5 star. Gotta love Virgil and Liz they are very caring and friendly people.
I stayed there 11months without a dull moment again it's the best.

This park is hands down the most relaxing, comfortable, dog friendly, people friendly, rv park in Texas. I can say this cause I have stayed at most of them. I can't say enough about the place. Less the grounds keeper is awesome he is always on top of things. Liz and Virgil are the friendliest people so kind and good host's. They have not 1 but 4 dog walks to choose from so your dog can get out and stretch their legs and you won't have to worry about other dogs fighting or getting to rowdy with each other. They have huge pavilion with horseshoes and a swimming pool. Oh there is a playground for the kids and a basketball hoop if you want basketball. This place is the best I doubt I will ever find another rv park that has what this one has. Thank you Liz, Virgil and less for the great experience you guys have given me.

My husband and our little family ADORE this place. Such a great sense of community and that is what makes it such a wonderful place to be. The owners Virgil & Liz are so kind and have done a fabulous job of creating an above average Rv Resort! This park is certainly at the top of my list! It has pool that is nice for cooling off from the Texas heat, dog park that that is just a few steps away from our site where our fur babies have met a few new friends, and a pavilion where I have met some awesome people that I will always be friends with. They even have a comfy place for horses to enjoy when we are here. We will cherish the memories that we have made at this little slice of heaven.

Stayed here for 3 months during a nurse travel contract with Baylor, Scott and White. It's pet friendly, clean, and was mostly quiet. I always felt safe--that's super important ! The laundry room has 4 washers and 4 dryers (and a change machine). It's a super easy commute to the hospital and just down the road from the nice little town of Belton. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice RV park. Clean, quiet and pet friendly. The property is well kept and the rules affecting guest safety and comfort are reasonably enforced. Laundry facilities are way better than commercial laundromats. 15 minutes from Walmart, HEB and many restaurants. Highly recommend this park.

We stayed for 4 nights in January. The owners, Liz and Virgil, were very welcoming and accommodating. The fenced dog park is large with room to play. Bathrooms with showers are spacious and clean. Unlike many RV parks, the water tastes fine with no odd smell/taste!

There are also several pretty horses that add to the atmosphere.

The park is brand new, and it was a nice place to stay!

We love this park. Friendly people and staff.
Staff tries to keep thing lite and comfortable. Has rules to follow like any RV park, but no absurd rules. Kids are a joy to see running around enjoying their time. The owners always ask how they can do things better. Best park we have stayed in in Bell county.

Over the past year since buying a camper we have camped at nearly a dozen different campgrounds. Briar Flats is by far the best place yet! Easy access, nice sized back in and pull through lots, great neighborhood with friendly folks and occasional get togethers. Kid and pet friendly! Owners Virgel and Liz are terrific people and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and like family. Tim the host and maintenance guy is always around to help and take time to visit and get to know the residents. There are a few rules to follow (like speed limit of 7 mph) but they are for the good and safety of all. I am so thankful that we found this place and we were able to secure a spot here. I can assure you if we come back to the Temple area we will be in contact with Liz to stay here again!

I have to say this park is just amazing. Liz and Virgel are great people. They have community gathering every Friday with a food truck and movie. The bathrooms are always clean, the park is well kept. Tim the park host is very nice and makes sure to keep the calm of the park.

This campground is in a great location, close to Waco, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The owners of the park have Uber customer service and always show everyone the highest integrity. Certainly a diamond in this dark scary world! Roads are paved, camp sites have paved parking pads with paved area for your RV. Pool is refreshing and the pool furniture is comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are always clean! If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy time with your family, this RV park is top notch and pretty hard to beat.

Virgel and Liz are absolutely amazing and have a gorgeous park! We have called it home for the last 3 months and are sad to go. They were very accommodating and understanding, helpful, and always go above and beyond! It’s an almost brand new park with many accommodations/activities to choose from! This is the park you want to choose, whether it be for a couple weeks or for a few years, this is it! Thank you Briar Flats, we will never find another park as amazing as yours!

The owners were so kind and generous more than needed as a business. Park was clean and quiet. People were kind. They focused more on a caring relationship experience than just running a business. I would and will stay here again and anyone I know coming into town I will recommend Briar Flats Rv.

What an amazing atmosphere; very clean and well kept! The owners go above and beyond for their guests and care more for their guests then they do their money. The owner said, “we like to see people happy”, and that is exactly what we were. Highly recommend this park💛

Vergel and Liz are super nice folks, and very accommodating. The park is beautifully kept with clean facilities. They have a play area for children, a nice pool and Pavillion, laundry room,, and showers. I highly recommend this RV Park for any occasion .

If you don’t stay here you really don’t know what you’re missing. We stayed here from January 2021 until July 2021 and I couldn’t of been more happy.
Both Liz and Virgel will go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. Hell Virgel even went and got propane for us one day! Right! Who does this? They do!
From the clean park, CLEAN showers to the nice people that will have a beer and BBQ for the entire campground and ask for nothing in return.
I normally don’t do to many reviews, but these people deserves the recognition.

Great three day stay at this well organized, well laid out RV resort. I recommend Briar Flats if you're just stopping off for a day/night, or a longer stay. Other things I liked; fully paved and level spots, great utilities and very nice welcoming owners.

Great place and wonderful owners. They went above and beyond to get our spot when we encountered a computer glitch. Quiet, peaceful spot. We will stay again next time we are in the area.

Brand new and very clean park. Owners are great. People are nice. This is the best park in the area hands down, and one of the best parks I've ever stayed.
