China Buffet

Clean, professional, and helpful. The food smelled great, looked great, and tasted even better. Trays on the buffet we're refreshed as needed (as opposed to requested/demanded). I can't wait to go back.

Remodeled in 2008 to allow for parties and business meetings. The new owners are great people and really catered down to the locals. Not as big as I would like, but what they lack is more than made up for by the amazing flavors not found in your big cities. The buffet is prime choice for most, but still have the choice of menu orders as well. Marvelous Eastern traditions grace the walls and palette as Chinese, Indian, and Mongolian dishes seem to disappear as quickly as they are brought out. Soups and desserts are top shelf especially the egg drop soup. Though it is not marked and bathrooms are a bit small , wheelchair exclusive individuals such as my wife have no problem moving about the place and staff are on point and incredibly nice. So stop by for an early lunch. Opens at 10 by 10:30 buffet is full and you're on your second plate. Evening prices start at 6 for just a dollar more you get 3 extra dishes to choose from. I recommend the plum chicken over yellow rice with southern style sweet tea. Maybe we'll see you there.

LOVED IT! SUPER NICE FOLKS! My hubby and I got to town at 9:30pm on a Sunday night and the open sign was still on (because some late customers were finishing their meals). They welcomed us in, and there was only one tray that was empty. They offered to make us that dish!!! :) We declined as there was alot on the buffet to eat. Everything was EXCELLENT, hot and seemed fresh even that late at night.
I loved that each dish was unique in that they didn't use the same flavors or sauces on several dishes, they were all so different! A great variety to choose from. DELISH!!! When we were the ONLY folks left, they waited until we were done before they tore down, never rushed us. The staff was very friendly and were enjoying each others company, and we even joined in with some giggles they were sharing. LOVE this place!!! Will make it a point to go there when I travel through from now on.

My daughter and I loved it! First visit and the food was fresh and tasty! Also the wait staff was friendly and attentive! My daughter just moved into the area, very happy to have a nice chinese buffet nearby! Will be returning!

I love this place. Great service friendly staff. The waitress are a little pushy when it comes to them getting a tip. I actually has one ask why I didn't give her one. Which I had, guess she wasn't paying attention...

Do you love cold and re-heated, bland tasting "Chinese" food? Then this the place for you! Where to start? The first thing you notice when you walk in the door is all the stained carpet, looks delightful! The second thing that punches you right in the face is the musty moldy smell of the building, it adds a wonderful aroma to the taste of the food! Didn't I mention cold food? I went in at 11:15 am, the food should be fresh. Instead, I was kindly introduced to cold teriyaki chicken on a stick! Delicioso! The egg rolls were a nice surprise, but then I realized I was eating PF Change egg rolls from the frozen food section from Wal Mart. The rice was a little undercooked, but edible. The noodles tasted like they had been re-heated from last Sunday's night buffet; but again edible. Also, I asked another patron if this place gets busy and she said it does, and lo and behold; they started showing up in DROVES to eat mediocre AT BEST "Chinese" buffett food. I really feel for these fine friendly folks of Vernon, Texas and the abuse their intestines and toilets have to put up with.

Friendly staff, good food, we eat here often, we usually take our time and enjoy the buffet. My drink is refilled often and that's the main thing I look at when it comes time to tip.

The food at China Buffet has always been good. Tonight it was even better. The service was excellent and the staff is so friendly. We will be back soon.

Wonderful...under new management. Many choices to choose from. The restaurant was packed Sunday, attesting to it's popularity among patrons.

Buffet 7 days a week, multiple varieties of Chinese food, soups, sea food, salad bar, desserts, prices very reasonable. Wait staff are friendly.

Can't get any better white rice anywhere and I've been to plenty oriental restaurants. Very nice customer service and they make you feel at home.
