Handy Kitchen Chinese Restaurant

This is the best hole-in-the-wall American Chinese in the area. It is what it is, and it's where I go when I want what it is.

Food is quality is high without skimping on the more costly ingredients. Portions are large for plenty of leftovers.

We’ve been going to Handy for our Chinese cuisine for a few years now but I have to say that yesterdays order was outstanding. The Food was great! From the teriyaki chicken sticks, to the spare ribs, & fried chicken wings and the beef n broccoli. Very happy with all our food and their service. I will continue to recommend them to my friends.

This has been my go-to Chinese restaurant for over 10 years. I've never had issues with the food or service.

This restaurant has some of the most consistently good and fresh Chinese food in the Raleigh area. The teriyaki chicken skewers are so juicy..if I don't bring them home I would seriously get throat punched!

Love this place! And I have high standards! Our go to is Kung pao chicken, sweet sour chicken, shrimp with vegetables

Food is always done quickly & it’s always delicious & hot! Plus they use a wider variety of veggies compared to a lot of other Chinese restaurants & they’re always fresh & perfectly cooked. Also the price is better than others in the area, especially when considering how much food they give! I absolutely love Chinese food so I’ve gotten it at many places & I’m most impressed with this place. Also the crab Rangoon are the best here! They load them up with the filling, which is super flavorful & has more crab than any others I’ve ever had!

We ordered chicken with broccoli, Mongolian beef, and Szechuan bean curd. All portions were ample, and delicious. Wish we lived closer as it would be our go to Chinese place. More tofu options would be appreciated. But I’m glad I was able to order the Szechuan bean curd without pork.

Handy's is hands down the best. The food is always hot and fresh! The value for the food is incredible. 7.25 for the lunch special which includes a canned soda or GIANT cup of sweet tea! The portion of food was huge! Such a great inexpensive place. I see a lot of reviews commenting on the service. I would say that it is not the friendliest service that one might expect, but I think people need to take into consideration cultural differences! I love this place they are quick and to the point!

Handy Kitchen is one of my frequent spots for Chinese food. I typically get the General Tso's Chicken from the dinner menu. For $12.95 you get a container of nearly all chicken with some broccoli mixed in and a box of rice on the side. The fact that the whole container is nothing, but chicken alone makes it worth it. Couple that with the price and it would be worth checking out if you have not yet been.

The quality of the food is superb as well. Although I don't explore the menu, I can speak for the quality of the General Tso's as it is by far my favorite meal to get at a Chinese restaurant. My friend ended up getting Vegetarian Lo Mein and was thrilled with the quality of it. I definitely cannot recommend this place enough!

Great fresh tasting food, fast services and fair prices!

Their food is always on point. A++ for me. The best Chinese food in North Raleigh. Been ordering from them for 3 years now and they are really friendly. I give them a 6th🌟 because they always provide paper plates and plastic utensils along with all the condiments at your disposal. Excellent service. Thank you for serving me and my community. I absolutely recommend you try them if you haven't already. 😉

Great place for take-out orders

Honestly, the best chinese takeout food I’ve ever had. I’ve been going here since i was a child and it never disappoints. Their prices are super reasonable and the food is awesome.

Since moving to Raleigh 1 year ago, we have tried different Chinese restaurants but this is our favorite! We travel 13 mins to get it. We get the same thing and it is consistently good! Not much service but that's fine,! They aren't rude and the food is always good!

Great food always hot good flavor I love the garlic chicken

Ordered carry out from here for the first time. Food was ready right when I arrived (~10 mins after order). I was shocked how heavy the carry out bag was with food when I picked it up. After my fiance and I ate our fill, it was like we hadnt made a dent. Can easily share an appetizer and entry or get several meals worth. Also appreciated their covid protections. Will be a repeat customer

I have been a customer basically since day 1. Family owned and operated, this is a small, clean facility with excellent dishes. I particularly enjoy the sesame chicken. This place is very popular with my Leesville High student and his friends.

Delicious food! Easy fast option for Chinese take out. The fried rice that comes with the combos is made to order with your choice of meat. Most places the fried rice is lack luster and pre-made.

Wow, the food was on point. I purchased "Orange Chicken" and IT WAS THE BEST I have ever had; unfortunately, I was visiting. In addition, the portion was obscene.....finally a GOOD AMOUNT of Food FOR MY MONEY. Will always stop by when I am back in Raleigh💯
