This playground is absolutely amazing!!! They have something for every age here. Very spacious and spread out. They have a zipline, tons of slides, swings, climbing areas, sand area and ropes. This has to be my kids favorite playground we have been to. Great place to bring the family.

HANDS DOWN BEST PLAYGROUND IN RALEIGH!!!! The park is cool too but no other playground in Wake County or surrounding areas comes close to the playground equipment here at Sassafras Children’s Playground. It is SUCH a cool and fun place for kids! They also have beautiful flowers planted there throughout the Spring and Summer!

Great place for kids 2- 12. New equipment. Lots of variety. Fully accessible. Safe. Clean. Shade. Need 2 adults for more than one younger child. Don't miss the creek, boardwalk, and pond.

Great park with lots to do. Best for kids over 3 as there are often a lot of bigger kids running around. Age range for playset says 5-12 but there are easy and difficult parts throughout. Lots of benches and some picnic areas around.

Very well designed park. They seem to have catered various apparatus for different ages. Shaded benches work great for when it's sunny, but the actual apparatus are somewhat covered by awnings.

My kids have loved this park for years. There is so much to do and places for them to climb. Its in great condition and seems clean. The zipline is a ton of fun and doesnt take long to wait their turn. There is a nice trail behind the playground to explore. It can be a little stressful for young children (at least the parents) because its a large park and often busy. There are basketball courts and baseball diamonds as well.

This is the best park ever! My nephew has Down syndrome and we visit this park when he visits me. It is definitely a great place to be since for kiddos with disabilities. The turf is super soft. The different equipment available has all ranges of complexity from beginner to advanced. He loves the zip line one that allows him to sit in it since he can’t do the one you hold yourself up with your hands. He was so excited to be able to do some of the things the other kids played on. The park is super clean. I love it!

Really love this park. It’s a collaboration of the old park feel mixed in with the new futuristic park. It is a huge open area. There is many places to sit. It’s hardly any shade especially if it is busy so make sure you bring a hat. There is a pavilion, basketball court, walking path, and playground plus more! My 5 & 3 year old love this park. They play on the playground, or in the sand, or gather pine combs. This is hands down one of the best parks in the entire triangle and that is saying a lot because they are all really dope and there is a lot of parks in this area.

Really well built playground with every playground structure.
Mokeybars, sandbox, slides, swings, zip line, mini basketball court etc..
Quite a few blind spots so you really have to pay attention to your Little ones.

Lots of areas for family fun! We'll laid out. There are things to do to keep young toddlers busy as well as your 9 year olds!
There are areas to rest, eat and observe your young ones. No dogs allowed.

This playground is legit, nothing like what we had back in the 80s or 90s. The long metal slide that will undoubtedly burn a few daring kids who don't know the perils of such things brought me some comfort to subside my jealousy 🤣🤣🤣

Biggest playground in town. Bring your running shoes cause chasing two or more kids will be tough. Lots of seating areas, shaded areas, and swings!

This is probably our favorite park! The play structures are amazing, and they even have a set to accommodate wheelchairs. Older kids love the zipline. We like to go here whenever we're in the area.
