Wooten Meadow Park

Even on cold rainy🌧 days this is a great place to walk. Where Leesville Rd ends (@Millbrook) is where Wooten Meadow Park begins. A Figure 8 shaped, FLAT trail runs around a small pond filled with wildlife. 🦆🪿🐌🦋🐝🪲🐢🐿
This is the perfect park for people on wheels-🦽🦼🛴🛼 or who just would like to meander. Plenty of park bench’s along the trail, a couple of picnic tables near the trail head and ample parking make this a great place to enjoy the outdoors and have a stroll.

It's very short and well maintained - the first picture shows the entire figure 8 with a nice field. We took the bonus trail at the end that goes along the creek and it was very pretty and quiet - we even saw some deer! Great place for a casual stroll and plenty of parking.

Good short 0.3 - 0.6 mile anxiety reducing walk. Clean and new feeling to the walking area. 0.3 mile paved and the other hiking grade area. Just thankful for this dedicated green space in this area for the morning.

Wooten Meadow Park is now open! It’s not a long pathway, but it is nice. The path cross crosses and features a wetland area, a small open field, benches, and a couple small bridges. The paved path is flat and wide enough for people to walk both directions. There is a grass/dirt path at the far end of the park. I imagine that part could get very muddy if it rains. Overall, a nice small park for walking, playing in the field, taking a pet for a walk, biking, having a picnic in the grass, or just sitting on a bench and enjoying the fresh air. There is a trash can at the front of park (please don’t litter!).

While the park isn't large, I'm impressed with how these floodplains were converted into a walkable space with preserved wetlands - a natural landscape Raleigh needs more of. I read on the city website that there may be plans to connect this park to other trails. Would also be nice to add more wildflowers and cattails. Thank you City of Raleigh team!

Very basic with some open space and one circular trail. But the nature on that one trail is gorgeous. The space is just perfect for me to run with my dog and catch my breath in some beautiful shaded nature

A pretty short easy walk for when you don't feel like tackling hills but just want a nice stroll

Nice little inner-city park with a creative little "figure-8" paved walking path. Lots of native plants for wildlife.

This is a beautiful and peaceful little meadow in the middle of a nice suburban neighborhood that makes for a quick walk in the sun!

Love this park for when I just need to get out of the house! Paved path is perfect for strollers or highly pregnant people 😂there are non-paved trails that circle around in the woods but they’re separate from the main park. Very well maintained and theres almost always something blooming. Love this place!

Absolutely beautiful landscaping but not enough benches (add some on the side of the loop that's sunny in the mornings)

Love it fow a walk or to walk dod. Beautiful ponds and plantings. Although only 1/2 complete this park is a winner. Just wish there was a fenced are planned for dogs to run!!

This will be a beautiful meadow/tiny wetland environment soon. It is a place to walk a short distance, contemplate, observe wildlife, or otherwise spend time outside of yourself.
