Backyard BBQ

To begin, I have eaten at Backyard BBQ twice this week. I had Sunday night dinner with my husband and I placed a To-Go order for lunch. Both times I have been met with exceptionally polite staff. They’re friendly and funny too! The food is absolutely delicious and my husband ordered Draft and was very pleased with the taste. I’d never been here before Sunday and I had to come here and rave about how this is one of my favorite local spots now. Thank you!!

Unbelievable food experience.aazing burgers and meats. Highly recommend. Great interior with both tables and chairs and picnic tables. Great wait staff both diligent and friendly.

Found this hidden gem, decided to stop in for BBQ. Nice inside, love the picnic tables, the guys like the TV's on every wall. Fast and friendly service. I had the brisket baked potato, so big I couldn't finish it and really good onion rings. Overall great place to dine, pretty good food and fast service. I would highly recommend Backyard BBQ.

This place is always busy. I finally talked the family into trying it out, and we were not disappointed. The food was served pretty quickly and was delicious. I did notice that they have made some changes to their menu, but they still offer almost everything. I recommend this place if you're looking for something new, and it seems to be a real gem. It's a little bit tucked away, so it won't be seen by accident. I'm glad we visited this restaurant and we will go back for sure.

Our main waitress was great! She was not the one who delivered our food . We were disappointed that the prices were taken off the menu. Probably will not be returning just for that reason. One of us ordered the sliced beef brisket sandwich and they realize they had given us a chopped beef and immediately whisked it away although we would have been happy to keep the chopped beef rather than having to wait another 10 minutes. I appreciate that they were trying to make it right but The option to choose would have been nice.

Our experience was great. Sat at the bar and I belive her name was Sharon waited on us. She was great. I got the patty melt with onion rings and it was wonderful. My husband got a meat plate. He's a bbq master himseld and said it was great but would have been better if he would have gotten it wheb it was fresh vs a day old other than that the green beans tasteea little sour but our server informed the kitchen. So easy fix. Overall though, great food, atmosphere, and service. Thank yall.

The Butcher has ribs and said they were awesome! I had the catfish! The owner visited w me this am. Let him know the new lady from HEB loved the place!

Went here for a quick dinner. They weren’t really busy at 4:30 on a Saturday but it picked up quickly. We both ordered the stuffed potatoes. They we hot and delicious, service the was fast and our drinks were kept full.

Great food and good service. There were no prices on the menu, but I was shocked at how affordable it was. Two meals, an appetizer, four large margaritas, and two deserts for $90. The three meats BBQ was good and my Wife had the big hoss burrito and we took most of it home.

Our first time here moving from the valley “South Texas” and the service was wonderful. The waitress was so nice and gave us a discount being first timers. The food was Delicioso. Will be going back.

Absolutely best BBQ in the temple-belton area. Great spot to grab a great margarita as well. Definitely our new go to bbq spot!!

The only reason I stopped in for lunch was the creative marketing and I am so glad I did. Friendly staff and fast service. Perfect for a 1 hour lunch break. I had the Ranch Hand sandwich. Try the spicy BBQ SAUCE. I will be coming back for sure!

Super nice people and they genuinely go above and beyond to give that classic BBQ experience. Very homey, great place for family and the food is out of this world. 10/10 recommend. Thank you to the ladies at the drive thru

I came here on a limb, I live deep in Killeen and wanted to try something different. The images of the food were on point with how it was served! The staff was very pleasant and attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was good we got a three meat plate and added ribs, the brisket quesadilla, and the mozzarella and bacon burger. Everything was phenomenal!! 10/10 would come back and recommend! My pictures are after we dug into our food!

This place is inviting! Its atmosphere gives me a true at-home texas feeling. Come here and always ask for their specials! Family friendly & my whole family loved the brisket.

Well I've been coming back to this place at least once a year because it's been so good. I love the chicken Fried steak. It was good this time but It was to soaked in grease and the breading wasn't as crispy as it should be. Not to mention they're passing on the cost of doing business to their customers charging us to 3% for using a card. For this reason I won't come back.

Update-- I am riding down again tomorrow- 4th of july 2018 - my wife and i on my new goldwing. (new to me) This is our place to go for a days worth of riding. This is "our" spot now.

I drove 150 miles for some chicken fried steak. I was not disappointed. Big steak home made gravy was out of this world. Home made onion rings were top notch.
I seem someone getting s brisket topped baked potato and that thing looked like a football. Well worth the ride.

** Update ** going back tomorrow....... 150 miles and will love the ride down and back and enjoy my lunch.

Really enjoyed this place- was quite surprised. It’s hard to get a medium rare burger in CenTX, but they didn’t disappoint. My only gripe is they don’t have prices onthe menu, you have to scan the QR code to get them, that’s not cool.

Love this place. Miss their fried chicken sandwiches, but the Bubba tater is a close second. It's huge and I can hardly ever finish one, but its always tasty.

Meant to leave this review a couple weeks ago. It was a very busy Friday night and we attempted a couple other restaurants before coming here. We were told they were short staffed, but still were seated within five minutes. Placed our order, and the food was at our table maybe ten minutes later. The catfish was superb and made my day. Really awesome place that we need to visit more often.
