I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Burroughs. Our Leela lived a great full life and at the end we had to make really hard choice very quickly. The one thing I knew is I wanted her to be home in her safe place at the end. Dr. Burroughs and team answered quickly and came to our home next day. It was calm and they helped provide a safe and relaxed end of life care. I know it can’t be an easy job, but I am glad there is someone there to help and provide care with such sensitivity. Thank you for everything and all you do.

Thank you, Dr. Burroughs, for your care and compassion when the time came for my little boy. Despite doing my best to plan ahead and be able to plan his end of life care after 8 months of treatment for lymphoma, when his time came it was sudden. All the plans I had previously made fell through, but my son was ready and I would not make him wait. Dr. Burroughs came to my home last minute, greeted both of my dogs warmly, and kindly and respectfully helped me do the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I will cherish the final moments I shared with my son, and am so grateful that Dr. Burroughs was able to make the hardest thing just a little easier.

I can’t recommend Dr. Burroughs enough.
Beginning of November we had to let go of our 15 year old Labrador, who we brought from England to the US.
It was the toughest decision I have ever made.
Dr. Burroughs explained everything so well, was so comforting and didn’t even mind my tears. She didn’t judge me for anything and surprised me with how compassionate she is. She didn’t rush me for my goodbyes to my best four-legged friend.
She even sent a card.
If you have to make the decision to put your furbaby to sleep, Dr. Burroughs is the one to contact.

It’s been about 3 weeks since we met Dr. Burroughs. She was absolutely amazing on one of the worst days of our lives. We are so grateful for the service she provided. She did not rush us. We cried, we loved on our boy as much as we could, we cried some more. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone, but I’m so thankful Dr. Burroughs was with us every step of the way. We received our dog’s urn about 1 week after his passing. I’m thankful to have him back home. Dr. Burroughs, if you ever read this, just know we do not have words for your kindness during the entire process. It was a relief knowing we had a true professional at our side to walk us through everything. ❤ Bentley Angel

If I could give Dr. Burroughs 100 stars, I would. Yesterday was a very tough day for my husband and I as we said goodbye to our sweet Jackson. She made the experience so beautiful and showed so much compassion. We couldn’t imagine our Jackson crossing over the rainbow any way else. Thanks so much, Dr. Burroughs. ❤

Dr. Burroughs was very kind and compassionate with our Greyhound during her final moments. I highly recommend her euthanasia in home service for anyone that wants to avoid putting their pet in the car and driving them to the vet office for this procedure. We were blessed to find Dr. Burroughs - North Raleigh Mobile Vet and have our beloved dog pass away in her favorite place, our backyard, on a beautiful sunny fall day.

It's been almost a month since I held my forever baby in my arms as he crossed the rainbow bridge. He was my best friend and faithful companion throughout my 20s and most of my 30s. I had no idea what to expect for his final day here on earth and I couldn't have done it without the caring and patient presence of Dr. Burroughs. She was instrumental in making my baby's last day as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Thank you so much for all that you do.

It was the best possible send home it could be for our little guy. Dr Burroughs was awesome. She told us each step and gently walked us through. She did everything perfectly and Billy went home in my arms in the comfort of our own backyard on a beautiful warm day. I am grateful for the service she provides and highly recommend her

Dr. Burroughs was the most genuine, caring , doctor that we could ask for to help us in the transition of our cat at home. Her bed side manners and personal touches made it way more manageable and heartfelt than going into a vet clinic. Highly recommend for others and their pets needs. Thank you

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Burroughs and the service she provides. Our 14 year old dog, Servo, declined rapidly overnight and we called several similar services who could not give us an appointment for at least a week. Dr. Burroughs was able to fit us in that morning and we are so thankful that we were able to do this at home where Servo was most comfortable rather than at the vet office. Dr. Burroughs is incredibly kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and patient. She explained the entire process to us upfront and as she did each step. She gave us time to grieve together as a family. While that day was truly awful for us, Dr. Burroughs really did make the experience as good as it can be. The service she offers is truly so well thought out and is done in a way that truly honors the life of your pet and the love you have for them.

We called Dr. Burroughs on the recommendation of our regular vet when it was time to say goodbye to our 15 year old husky. For such a sad occasion, we could not have been more pleased. Dr. Burroughs showed such compassion and understanding while at the same time was very straightforward with what was going to happen and what was happening. She did not rush us or make us feel uncertain about our decision. She handled our skittish old man with gentleness so that he was not scared or nervous. It was nice that she was able to come out the same day I called and by the time she left, I felt like a good friend had been with us through the entire process. Thank you so much for making our boy's last moments so comfortable and peaceful!

We highly recommend North Raleigh Mobile Vet. We called on a Sunday afternoon and they were at our house a few hours later. Our 12 year old, 110 lb lab was able to pass peacefully at home. The vet was so kind and compassionate.

Dr. Burroughs came to our house on December 31. When she walked in the house she said, "Oh look at Midge's labored breathing; you are doing the right thing!" It is so agonizing to know if the time is right so what she said was just what we needed to hear. She was so kind and compassionate but also very conversational which made the ordeal (and boy oh boy is it a really hard ordeal!) seem natural. We held our sweet beagle girl, petted her and cried on her as she fell asleep and then peacefully died. Lung cancer had made breathing harder for her so it was nice to see her relax. We are forever grateful to Dr. Burroughs for making such a sad, sad time the absolute nicest and most peaceful it can be. I would recommend her to anyone.

My beautiful sweet 15 year old kitty was put to rest today and I couldn’t be more at peace with the lovely experience I had with this at home service. We chose to go by the fountain in our backyard where my cat spent the last hours of his life. I would recommend them to anyone going through this extremely tough decision. Thank you for the wonderful last moments with my little muppet.

The absolute best you could ask for to help you lay a beloved pet to rest. Dr. Burroughs was so kind and reassuring and informative of the process. We had to make the difficult call right before Christmas and it was so nice to be able to have her come same day to us in our home.

Shann is an angel on earth. I'm not exaggerating. Putting a beloved pet to sleep is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I cannot even describe to you the peace that came over me when Shann entered my home. From the very first minutes of our conversation, I knew my baby was going to be taken care of and so were me and my partner. Shann took her time to make us feel comfortable and asked the right questions to understand us and our cat's needs.
One thing to prepare you for - Shann is busy and chooses to use her time doing her work. She does not make anyone feel rushed during their appointment, and so sometimes the coordination and scheduling is done over text. This can feel a little hard when you're in the middle of things and just wanting to talk to someone, but despite my reservations about the scheduling process, Shann showed up as promised and took incredible care of us.

In one of the worst possible days for my wife and I and our aging, sickly cat (our first fur baby together), our vet guided us through the end of life process to stop our baby from suffering in her failing body. She was clear and concise about the process, ensuring we both understood what would be done and how our sweet cat would react. She showed patience and empathy to our situation, even though this is what she does day in and day out. She was respectful to our privacy and allowed us to grieve. She showed the greatest compassion when confirming our cat crossed the rainbow bridge, gingerly placing her within a fleece lined basket. It was as peaceful and beautiful as such a terrible process can be. Our hearts still ache, but our sweet little Midna is finally not hurting and is forever resting peacefully.

Several weeks ago my family had the unfortunate news that one of our miniature schnauzers was diagnosed with an aggressive and late stage cancer. I am stationed on the other side of the country and while I was heartbroken to not be by my family’s side in my dogs last days, after hearing about how she was cared for makes me unable to recommend Dr. Burroughs enough. The care and compassion she and her practice put in to making our Ellie Mae and my family comfortable in an otherwise heartbreaking moment is what I would consider the highest form of compassion and treatment. This seems to be standard for every family she works with and you can be assured that you are in the best possible hands in the Triangle region.

Nobody wants the day to come, but when it does you hope for someone like Dr. Burroughs to arrive at your door. Dr. Burroughs was kind, compassionate and affirming about one of the hardest decisions, on one of the worst days of my life. I had my dog for more than 13 years and he always shook with nerves at the vet or the groomer. I am very grateful for the service Dr. Burroughs provided because my boy passed peacefully and comfortably at home.

Dr. Burroughs has a natural gift of compassion that really stays with you. She has to meet people and their fur babies on the worst days but still somehow makes it feel like she has known you and them for years. Making the call and saying goodbye to our sweet boy was one of the hardest days of our lives. Even though the service(s) provided is/are unpleasant and difficult to deal with, she did not make us feel rushed or unsure in any way. She truly showed a genuine care for us and the fact that our family of three when she walked in became a family of two when she left. We cannot thank her enough for the comfort and care that she showed from the beginning to the end and afterward to us and our sweet boy Dozer.
