Silver Gull Motel

Fantastic hidden gem right on Wrightsville Beach. Super friendly staff, spacious rooms and AMAZING views. The cookware & dinnerware included in the kitchenette was super convenient, and so was the free covered parking. We loved the private access to the beach and outdoor shower. Also super clean upon arrival. I would suggest a small broom & dustpan for spot cleaning, for those with young children or who are just prone to knocking over open pretzel bags (our family is both). Definitely will be coming back.

First time staying at Silver Gull and we enjoyed our stay. The location cannot be beat; right on the beach, parking, & walking distance to so much. We had one of the rooms with an ocean view and it was beautiful. We liked having the fridge/kitchen in our room. The room is a little dated, but the pros make up for it and we will absolutely stay again when we are in town.

First time staying here off of a quick last second decision. It was a great stay, location a little packed but the silver gull itself was a great choice. Christi was a sweetheart and made the stay so accommodating it was made 100% better of course. Will definitely be back

Prefect simple budget friendly place right on the beach. We will be returning. Walking distance for the hustle and bustle and most everything you need on a beach vacation. Little kitchen was perfect. We cooked to save money. Even if your not ocean side the shared deck is great. Free parking underneath was great.

Located right on the beach and fishing pier. Walk to the water from your room in two minutes. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great balcony views. Highly recommend for family vacation!!

Just spent 3 days and 4 nights here. Had a room with ocean view and wrap around balcony. Very nice. Bed comfortable. Room clean. Small kitchenette with microwave and two burner stove. We brought food with us to cook and/or heat up. We saved some money by doing this and it worked well for us. We could have used a toaster but not a major issue. People nice. Easy access to the beach. It is not a modern motel but clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

I simply loved the Silver Gull Motel. The rooms were large and roomy. My sister and I had the two double beds with Ocean View which was a nice view of the Ocean.

I noticed this hotel is rated 2 star on Google. I chose it because we were coming to town on business and I wanted a place to stay on the ocean that was reasonable for "spending the night only" and no vacation time. Well, Google - you need to upgrade your rating system for this hotel! It was very reasonably priced compared to the competition. The room was very clean, the kitchen was more than convienent, and the staff were most helpful and friendly. We were not able to get "ocean front" however, we could see the beautiful ocean sunrise from our balcony. We enjoyed our stay so much, it is now on our must visit list when we want a beach vacation. It is so nice to be pleasantly surprised when you go somewhere new. Thank you Silver Gull Staff.

I really enjoy this place. It is right on the beach and staying here really helps beat the traffic and trying to find close parking spots to the beach, that alone is worth the money. The rooms are spacious and the kitchenette has saved us many times from having to leave to eat a hot meal. You really appreciate the convenience when you have cranky hungry kids after a long day at the beach. We have been coming here for nearly 8 years. The staff do not linger but are there if you need them which is a great plus. Parking is tight but they have a spacious overflow lot if you can't park(like me).

We've stayed here several times and have always been happy with our stay.
Staff is great, location is perfect, and the rooms are very spacious.
Parking is a bit tight but manageable.
Great value for the money.

4.5 stars. This was a great little motel right on the beach. All of the rooms have balconies with ocean views. The kitchenette was really helpful since my husband and I prefer to not to eat out with the baby.
I deducted half a star because the coffee maker in the room was not a regular drip coffee maker... It was a single serve drip that required specific coffee bags (provided) that I thought were awful. To be fair, the coffee maker at the front desk was great, but the office is locked until 7am (I am an early riser).
The Silver Gull was easy to find/drive to, and it had on-site parking.
The price was incredible for what you get. I'd highly recommend it!

Silver Gull owes me nothing. The hotel was clean parking on the street was crazy but they have parking under the building what a relief. I had a double room Ocean view and let me tell you it was fantastic the balcony was clean the room was clean the sheets were clean this hotel room is clean. They have a full refrigerator two burner stove pots pans dishes everything you need for your stay. This made our stay so much easier we just went to Walmart got a some groceries and cooked and ate on the balcony listening and watching the ocean. The beach was nice and clean it's very accessible to the beach takes you about 5 minutes if that, you are walks away from the beach. I cannot wait to go back housekeeping was excellent the young lady at the front desk did a phenomenal job welcoming us and the best part is our room was ready before check in. We cannot wait to go back this is our new place to stay. If you have children or if you're Solo or if you are a couple this hotel is for you. They do not allow smoking anywhere in the building which is great they have ice machines on the floor housekeeping makes sure that if you need anything they get it to you, ample towels in the bathroom dish detergent in the kitchen cloths drying cloths , pots and pans to cook with, large microwave and dishes and silverware to eat, everything you can need to have a peaceful vacation or relaxation time without worrying about did you forget something or having to run to the store they took care of all of the small incidentals.I cannot wait to go back.

Amazing stay over Labor Day weekend! Last minute plans and they were so accommodating. The room was great and the sheets smell amazing! Very happy we will be back!! Location is PRIME and the staff was so nice. :)
Only thing suggestion we had was to get a shower spray on their walkway on to the beach but that was really cool too that they had that!

I would highly recommend this place! For the price, the location and experience were great! We had a south facing room, but there was still a great view of the ocean. It wasn't as nice as the end patios, but it was still stellar. The patios are such a nice touch! The hotel is listed as a motel, but it's definitely more hotel style (inner doors, not outer). That being said, the kitchenette is nice to make food (stovetop, microwave, and fridge/freezer with some basic dishes). It's RIGHT off the beach and near the pier. Plus, parking is included, which is sooo nice for this area! There are multiple restaurants within walking distance or just a quick drive away. It's close to Wilmington (20min-ish) for those that want to visit there too. The elevator shakes a little at times, but we didn't have issues. It was quiet and peaceful here. There is also a shower in the back (outside) for when you get back from the beach, which is nice! There is coffee/hot chocolate in the lobby but no breakfast. However, it was a great experience!

Fantastic place! Great location! Management was extremely accommodating and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. If you can get an oceanfront room, snag it! Spectacular sunrise location. I’ll be back.

Found this hotel 28 years ago and have been an annual customer since. reasonable prices, right on the beach, next to Jonny Mercer Pier. Great views, clean rooms, nice staff. Make a reservation cause they can fill up quickly.Only drawback is they have more rooms parking spots. Only one handicap space. I like this hotel for many reasons but I'm usually at the pier fishing or out on the beach but when I'm done doing those things the thick walls and comfortable beds are a reward

What a great place! I have stayed here 2 times and both were perfect! Rooms are spacious, friendly onsite team, clean, parking is so great! Sun rises are in perfect view right from the side entrance.

I'm not going to lie I was pleasantly surprised. I guess I just assumed a motel would be run down and terrible. The rooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved that it was right on the beach and walking distance to coffee, restaurants, ice cream, and the pier. There's a private little deck with access to the beach off the second floor. The balconies off the rooms were pretty large with a little table and two comfy chairs. Ocean front rooms do have a way bigger balcony but the ocean view rooms still have a nice size and you can see the ocean without leaning forward and turning your head to a weird angle like most ocean "view" rooms. Rooms have a full size refrigerator, two burner cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, coffee cups, etc. We were only there for 3 nights but I'd definitely go back for a longer period since there's everything you'd need. Very very pleased.
Free parking for the hotel just don't park outside the hotel in those spaces bc they are pay to park. There's a small two sided parking garage under the motel. Right next to the stairs and elevator so you don't have a long walk. Can't wait to go back!

Located right on the Beautiful sandy shores of Wrightsville Beach beside Johnny Mercers Pier.
The Silver Gull has spacious rooms with all the amenities you'll need for a stay at the beach. Excellent views of the ocean in most rooms,Beautiful Sunrises and Full Moons,Emerald green and Blue waters and white sand just add to the experience.
I stay there multiple times a year and have never been disappointed.
The entire Staff works hard to make sure the accommodations are Top Shelf.
The Pier is next to the Silver Gull and theres plenty of Shopping and dining within 5 miles.
Id say its as close to Paradise as it gets.

The location is fantastic for any one there for a weekend fishing trip on the pier. Our first stay was roughly a month ago and the mattresses were in dire need of replacement but other than that I had no complaints. Quick easy check in, quiet area and walking distance from a great fishing location. We stayed here again this past weekend and what do you know much better mattress this time as well as newer nicer chairs on the balcony. The check in process is very quick and simple, they don't pester their guests not even the nightly slip of the days charges under your door like most hotels. If you are looking for that place that is full service and cater to your every little desire this is not the place for you, but it you are looking for something simple to lay your head at night whilst being out enjoying the area then you are in the right location. I do wish that when they weren't full they would allow more than one vehicle per room park in their deck however they do reimburse your parking fee's if you have more than one vehicle, they also are happy to allow you to unload that extra vehicle inside the deck prior to parking in the exterior area.
