Town Hall Burger and Beer

Stopped in for a beer and a quick bite (the pretzel bites were perfect) and the beer hit the spot! Fun bathroom art too (ha!)
One month later: stopped in again for a late lunch with my brother - great lunch - I had the grilled chicken sandwich, he had a burger with mushrooms and onions and truffle fries, and of course we shared the pretzel bites!

I rarely go on this side of Chatham. I'm a little behind on some of my reviews.

The food was excellent. My picky middle schooler said we definitely need to go back. The prices are a little more than a traditional burger restaurant but well worth it.

The portions were huge. The employees were very nice. It's also a great place to people watch. Will definitely be back.

Mac and Cheese burger and loaded tator tots were absolutely delicious. Wife loved the Patty Melt. Friends enjoyed the Cowboy Burger.

Sat in the bar area for a game mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Great bar crowd and vibe. It was UNC Homecoming weekend, so lots of UNC football fans (they won). We went with the Cheese Grilled Cheese. Excellent super cheesy sandwich with SPICY very large Jalapeños, the Roma tomatoes were cut thick, the Texas Toast was creamy buttery, thick cut premium bacon —— yummmmy. Did I say super uber cheesy? Like five types of cheese, awesomeness!

Cowboy burger - Pretzel Bun! Nice touch. Great melding combination of flavors. I am not sure where they got this batch of Jalapeños - friggin’ huge and spicy! Thick cut bacon, onion straws and gooping of BBQ! Masterpiece!

BBQ Tater Tots - I like a crispy tot. Yum! Pulled pork was okay, I am not really a pulled pork fan, so………. With the Queso drizzled on top, it works.

Do not go to this establishment without ordering the Fried Mac n Cheese. Holy creaminess batman. Gooey inside, crispy outside. It is to die for. You get two thick patties, doesn’t really fall apart when you cut it, good stuff

Tasty burgers and nice staff. The cowboy burger is great with the apple wood bacon. My daughter had the Mac n cheese burger and my wife had the coconut chicken sandwich.

Pre-gamed there yesterday on the way to the UNC-Lehigh matchup. I've been wanting to try the Mondo and it was some kinda good! The best thing I had were their THB wings, though. Wow. Large, Hot, crunchy, sticky, and coated with goodness (I got the Mango Chipotle) I highly recommend!! I will be back.

Went there for a quick bite to eat and everyone working there was super nice and worked together as a team. I was quite impressed to see how they tag team the tables and the chefs work together as well. The burgers were cooked properly & delicious. The fried Oreos were delicious as well and the presentation was delightful. Definitely would go back when we go there.

A hidden gem! I went just after 12 and it was packed so I’m glad there was room at the bar. I had the Greek salad and it was a decent sized salad and very good! I also had the orange crush drink which was actually refreshing. If I find myself in Chapel Hill again I’ll be sure to go back!

Burger is good and juicy. Truffle fries is not same taste as regular fries. They are good.

Fantastic buger joint. The beef is very high quality. Oh and try their fried onions, they are out of this world.

D-licious! And the subtle metal music was a plus! They keep it low, but old school Metallica and Megadeth playing in the background... nice!

The burgers are very good, with lots of different options, and they have a wide selection of craft beers. The chicken wings, which are breaded, are also very good. There are a few things to note. You order at the counter and get a number to place at your table. You can order beer while placing your food order. Burgers do not automatically come with a side, e.g. fries, you need to order them. Parking can be a real issue at this location, especially at peak times, as it is limited and shared with other businesses. Definitely recommend trying them.

I always love coming here the people are always so nice and the food is always so good and just keeps getting better.

This place has all kinds of burgers and very tasty varieties!!! I will be back to try more.

I’ve had a build your own burger here before and it was excellent but today I stretched out my taste buds on the tar heel burger. I knew I’d enjoy the burger itself but I wanted the chance to try this because it comes with their pulled pork as well - it was fantastic! Paired it with the truffle Parmesan fries and it was heaven. I tried my son’s lemon pepper tenders as well and they were as good as they come. I look forward to the next stretch I take - there are so many different river designs!

Love this place and go like once a week. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SKINNIER CUT FRIES FOR THE TRUFFLE FRIES PLEASE. Great place, but the thicker cut fries are always mid compared to what you had before.

The people who work there are really nice and the food was really good.

We ordered two types of burgers: California and Carolina burgers. They are both very good! I like Caroline burger better.
