Relish Craft Kitchen & Bourbon Bar

I took two of my colleagues to Relish Craft Kitchen & Bourbon last week. It was a phenomenal experience! The food was FANTASTIC! Our orders arrived quickly and the food was hot. Heat arose from our plates as they were placed on the table. Two of us had adult beverages that were made just right. 🙂 The service was great -- attentive but not overbearing. My supervisor recommended this restaurant to me; he raved about it for days! I will definitely return to this restaurant when I visit the area again.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all legitimate five stars! The team of bartenders, servers and support staff was seamless and made my visit very enjoyable. Food was excellent and the craft cocktails were top notch! This is a top tier establishment! Definitely at the top of the list for Raleigh!

I brought my 5 year old daughter here, and we absolutely loved it! There is definitely a wide range of options for a great price. Our server was kind and helpful. We went on a busy Saturday and I'm glad we used the online waitlist feature to put our name on the waitlist before we got there from Crabtree. By the time we checked in at the front, we only had a few minutes left on our wait. If we had waited, we would have seen 8 more groups ahead of us and waited 30-45 minutes for a table. Online waitlist is definitely a huge plus!

Stopped in for lunch the other day with an old friend. I had the the mozzarella something sandwich, we split the roasted brussel sprout appetizer. Food was excellent, service was great, atmosphere was cool, we sat outside on an early spring day.

November 27, 2023 my husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday 2 PM. The weight was nonexistent we just walked right in, service was excellent, easy to communicate about the menu and ask what options were favorable among us. Had a great time with my husband. They also have an entire wall of games that you can take to your table and play as well as all of the Spirits made in North Carolina at their bar. This restaurant is called the kitchen which is actually attached to relish, which is the bourbon bar and we ate at the kitchen and loved it. Food was hot, pasta salad is vinegary more than my husband liked it, but I love it would be back again, set it on favorites for Maps . Husband thoroughly enjoyed the fondue and his old Raleigh whiskey

Overall: it is a great restaurant with a variety of foods that are all executed fairly well. It's nothing extravagant, but it's good solid food. They have a great kids menu, and the ambiance is well suited to families. We visited on Black Friday at ~5:00pm and had no wait for a table of 8.

Service is great, there seem to be a lot of servers working and they are all prompt and helpful. I would recommend it to others.

Absolutely loved our meal. My cousin and I split the Reuben and fries. It was the best Rueben we’ve ever had! Perfect meat to sauerkraut ratio. Flavorful. Fennel in the bread. Absolute magic. Definitely would come again. Even with the 30 minute wait, it was well worth it.

Loved getting back to Relish while in the area recently. Every trip has been delicious but really enjoyed our cocktails and the Buffalo mac this most recent trip! Our server was also amazing, super fast but also okay with us hanging out for 2 hours since we had a lot to catch up on. Don’t skip dessert, the hot fresh doughnuts are 🙌

I special order The Parisian grill cheese as my wife does, substituting fried green tomatoes for ham. Homemade potato chips are excellent. The grits are very good, not watery with a medium coarse grind.

Delicious! Really enjoyed the Mexican Mac and Cheese. The grilled cheese was also great and the tomato soup that came with it was piping hot. Service was quick and efficient.

4/28/2024 update went out to enjoy a great meal at Relish. Had something happen that has never happened before. My Wife and I went out with old friends. A couple that are blind with two kids. One 21 and one 19. The hostess came over to us after waiting 35 minutes for a table of 6 and asked could we take a table outside. My Wife and I had been at a car show outside since 7am. So we wanted table inside. She than told us they had a table inside but they had a call in reservation and they have a 7:30pm reservation that is an hour and half from that time. And the hostess asked if we could be out by 7:30. We all felt that we would be possible be pushed to enjoy our meal. So we decided to to wait. It was another 15 minutes which was not bad. But I never had a hostess to ask that question before. My Wife and I had no drinks and was over $87.00 for dinner and the couple we were with bill was over $150.00.

Food was awesome and service was great. But Hostess experience was pretty trying...

Liked it so much I suggested we take the CEO/Company I work for when in town last from California come try Relish out. He invited the whole company from NC office. Raved about how good it was all through the meal even into the next day!

Wife and I were in Raleigh for the State Admitted Students day and we decided to try this place out based on the fact there were multiple things that we looked and sounded great. Got there on a Saturday night around 6:30 and had no wait as we sat at the bar. After ordering drinks, I started to ask which was best, the shrimp and grits, country fried steak, or fish and chips but only got the shrimp and grits out before the bartender said that it was the best, everything else was #2. Glad I listened to him as the shrimp and grits were fabulous. Grits were cheesy and perfectly cooked. Tons of bacon on it as well. Taste was outstanding. Wife got the Wisconsin grilled cheese. It and the sweet potato fries side were also great. Overall, really great experience all around. Definitely want to come back to try the other things on the menu out.

5/19/2024: Our family enjoyed Sunday brunch and will definitely return. The fried green tomatoes were excellent as an appetizer. My daughter loved the Southern Mac and Cheese Skillet. My husband truly enjoyed the Yardbird Sandwich. The Shrimp and Grits I had were delicious. They brought doughnut bites with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces for my birthday. Our waiter was friendly and professional.

We ate here last night via pickup order. The time we were quoted through our email was accurate and ready when we arrived.
We got the Shrimp Burger and Fried Fish Tacos. The Shrimp Burger is $16.50 and comes with a side. It isn't what you would expect - it's fried shrimp on a bun (to put it simply). The shrimp was all over the to-go container when we picked it up. It was easy to assemble but this is a messy sandwich.

The Fish Tacos come either fried or grilled. We got the fried option for $15.00, and it also comes with a side. The fish tacos were recommended to eat like a salad per their website. The fish had a "fishy" taste - more than expected for cod. I say this since cod is usually milder. The homemade chips were excellent!

The whole order was correct - all the way down to sauces on the side, etc. The food was pretty tasty and the temperature was still hot when we ate at home. Portion sizes are generous and you do feel you get what you paid for. Overall, we will be back and look forward to dining here in the future!

I did take out. The "tony burger" has bacon jam on it. This burger was amazing! I really enjoyed steak fries. I rarely ever get a taste for a burger, but this one I will definitely order again.

One of the best places I have eaten at in the area. The ambiance is calming and relaxing, the service was excellent, and the food was top as far as taste and quality. I love that they had so many vegetarian options. I got the veggies plate for my main meal and the Pimento cheese fritters for an appetizer. Both were excellent!! I will definitely be back because there were several menu items I wanted to try. It was hard to pick just one.

We treated ourselves to Relish for date night and it didn’t disappoint. This modern eatery boasts delicious foods, well-crafted cocktails, and great service. Our server Chloe was absolutely delightful. She greeted us quickly and took our drink orders while we perused the simple to the point menu with mouthwatering offerings from burgers to southern classic dinners to tacos. And of course there is the bourbon. You cannot come to Relish without ordering a bourbon cocktail or two. Wednesday is also half priced bottle wine so treat yourselves. All in all, this beautifully decorated modern restaurant was a great pick for date night with the husband. Cheers 🥃👨🏻‍❤‍💋‍👨🏼🍷

The food is fantastic! You can't go wrong. There's multiple kinds of mac & cheese. There's a bunch of different grilled cheeses. The shrimp and grits knocked my socks off.

I will say this. The staff is overwhelmed. This place works like clockwork. They get you in and out. It's like a machine. And it's this machine quality that steals the heart and soul from human interactions. And it burns out staff.

There is an incredible irony in feeling rushed at a place called Relish. Slow it down guys. Slow. It. Down.

This place was so good!! We were looking for somewhere new to try near Crabtree and found Relish. Everything was 10/10! Definitely try the warm pretzel with pimento cheese - it was AMAZING!!! The pickle chips were also delicious! Their main course portions are also very big. I got the Cajun Mac skillet and had yummy leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband had the shrimp and grits which also were great! The rest of my family got a variety of different entrees and they were all good! Their menu is very expansive and we want to go back to try more!

I don't rate things a 5 very often but hands down some of the best food I've had in a very long time. The French Toast Bread Pudding at brunch is my favorite food in the world! Get the Mac and Cheese!

The place is a little rough looking from the outside and a little dated inside but who cares with food like this. My fav. Restaurant!
