Today was my first Physical Therapy appointment. I loved the clean, calming environment, and the staff is super nice. My therapist Aubrey is kind, gentle and very knowledgeable. My back and leg's feel better already. I will definitely be returning for my weekly therapy.

This is NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN. They LOCK PARENTS OUT OF BUILDING. That should've been my first red flag. As professional medical providers, they should be trained on how to respond and treat autistic children. THEY ARE NOT. It is the adult's responsibility to be in control of a situation. THEY LOCK PARENTS OUT OF THE BUILDING, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STAY IN A LOBBY OR IN THERAPY ROOM TO ASSIST IN ANY WAY IF A SITUATION CALLS FOR IT.
My son is autistic, level 3. He needs therapy to help with developmental delays and communication, although he can speak, he finds it difficult to communicate anything new, including new sensations in his body. 25% of autistics can become aggressive when overwhelmed. My son had a great time in speech, but when he went to Physical therapy something happened. (We found out later at home he pulled a muscle and was in pain which led to the situation during PT, he didn't have the social/pragmatic language to communicate his needs during PT) The company TOOK MY SON'S SENSORY BAG AWAY from him, and DID NOT PROVIDE IT DURING THERAPY SESSIONS, the bag contained tools to help both my son and Therapist when my son becomes overwhelmed. My son is trained to go to this bag as well, the therapist were informed of this upon drop off. During the session, my son became injured, he asked for breaks, and got a few short ones. The PT neglected to ask my son what his needs were, and if everything was ok, or to walk him through THE NECESSARY LANGUAGE that he was lacking, for example, 'how do you feel right now,' 'does anything feel odd, or hurt' 'is it a tight feeling, or pinching.' etc. He became agitated when pushed to continue therapy. He did smack at the PT and call her a nasty name and threw a therapy ball, he then retreated under the PT table attempting to get away and calm down. (It didn't work, as he cried hysterically to me when I arrived, 'They took my calm down bag away, they wouldn't give it to me.') I arrived with the manager calling me to pick him up that he was done with therapy, I WAS NOT TOLD DURING THIS PRIVATE TIME WHAT WAS WRONG. I WAS LED TO THE BACK ROOM UPON ARRIVAL UNAWARE THAT MY SON WAS HAVING A MELTDOWN. SHE JUST SMILED THE WHOLE WAY, I ASKED HOW WAS MY SON TODAY, SHE JUST SAID, 'OH HE'S HAVING A HARD TIME.' I enter the room to my son in hysterics, the therapist LIVID AND NOT IN CONTROL OF HER OWN EMOTIONS, THROWING HER HANDS OUT TOWARDS MY SON, WHO AS AN AUTISTIC CHILD, PERCEIVED THIS AS A THREATENING GESTURE, HE WAS AFRAID OF HER AT THIS POINT. If she was willing to show me this unprofessional behavior, then there is NO TELLING how she behaved when I was not there. She left the scene after RUDLEY telling me AND MY SON she was discharging him from PT (after 1 failed 20 minutes), I was able to calm my son and talk him through it. He cried hysterically asking why they refused his sensory bag, they wouldn't listen to his needs, etc. We left with my son sobbing, at the door the Speech therapist, and the manager walked us out stopped us at the door stating he was not welcome back to therapy, and that I (as the parent) was lucky the ball he threw didn't hit another client-THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PRIVATE 1 ON 1 SESSIONS WHY WOULD THERE BE ANOTHER CLIENT IN WITH HIM???) And again, why? It was their failure to provide a safe environment for my son. SHE THEN PROCEDED TO TALK POORLY ABOUT MY SON IN FRONT OF HIM, WHICH CAUSED HIM TO CRY EVEN HARDER. "IF THAT'S HOW HE'S GOING TO BE" Who does this? Who talks about a child in front of him? Why didn't she have this discussion with me in private instead of further traumatizing my son? VERY Unprofessional behavior all around. It came down to aggression, which is common among autistics-he is learning still!
I lost over $100 due to his evaluations, and they REFUSED TO PROVIDE THERAPY.
He cried hysterically for WEEKS over this, he felt horrible, he didn't understand why they refused his calm down bag, why they spoke bad about him, he kept saying he was a 'bad kid.' No, the PT lost control of the session.

My kid had a complete breakdown there. He had a complete meltdown at his current place too. They worked with him because they read all the documentation we gave detailing his issues.

Don't go here expecting them to do their homework. We had to start all over from scratch somewhere else.
