Friends Grille and Bar

We like to try local places when traveling and this one of the very few brunch spots we came across when searching. It definitely did not disappoint! The service and food was amazing. The weather was nice so we sat outside and our waitress was very helpful answering the questions we had about the menu. Two of us had the shrimp + grits and another ordered the breakfast standard + fried chicken on the side. Some of the best shrimp + grits I’ve ever had!

My husband & I stopped here for Sunday brunch. Got a seat around the bar within only a 20 minute wait & no reservation. Their menu is what attracted us, we look forward to returning for their regular menu. However, the brunch menu & special brunch menu did not disappoint. Neither did the drinks. The atmosphere was cool, the bartender & other staff were polite, friendly, & attentive.

We started with the salmon toast & it was incredibly delicious. I am not someone who normally enjoys capers but they went so well with the salmon.
My husband ordered the green bean casserole as his side, from the special menu, to an omelette (ate it up so quickly).
I went with their Benny & a side of fruit. Those eggs were perfect!!! And the cheese on top was like icing on a cake (it was that good 🤤).
We both enjoyed their cocktails! He stuck to his short tequila beverage. I tried their strawberry infused vodka martini & then their citrus cocktail - both so refreshing & delicious. We highly recommend & look forward to going back.

So the good definitely out ways the bad. The only “bad thing” here is time. If you come here be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for everything. Other then that 10/10 in my book. The restaurant itself is very beautiful. And every employee that I talk to her interacted with was very kind. All of the food that I tried was amazing, but nothing with beat the monk tacos. I also had their desserts and their alcohol. They were spectacular as well. Even their bathrooms were amazing and that’s a hard one to beat with me normally. Amazing pick would definitely recommend.

Great... everything! We drive 75 miles about once month (sometimes twice a month) to eat here. For 6 years...!! Enough said. But I'll give you more. Steaks have always been cooked to the right temp. We never have anything bad off the menu. We'd make the same drive just for their cocktails. We love Friends and bring friends and family all the time.

Delicious breakfast and brunch. Stopped on our way through GA and we would definitely stop here again if we’re up this way again. The hot chicken sandwich, waffles, eggs Benny, hash brown casserole, biscuits, grits, and bacon were all delicious. Friendly staff that checked on us frequently. Highly recommend - 5 stars!

I absolutely love this place. I moved here a few months ago and of all the restaurant options in Valdosta, Friends is my favorite. The people, food and atmosphere are ✌🏼🫶👌🏼😊

I highly recommend, even for those with food allergies, they can satisfy even the pickiest eaters like me. Ha!

We had a wonderful time at Friends. There was understandably a wait, but what good place won't. Michelle had the burger. It was juicy and very tasty and well presented. I had the pork chop. It too was prepared very well and presented really well. Not sure what the sauce on the chop was, but it was arromatic and a bit spicey. Loved it. The staff was friendly, and the server was attentive. Loved the place and will definitely be back.

Came here for weekend brunch with my family, and we loved it! We were seated quickly, our waitress (Karen) was lovely, and the food was delicious! We especially loved the sweet potato biscuits. We will definitely be back!

First time visiting Friends and it will definitely not be my last!! Had the Saturday brunch menu and it was delish. They were really busy today but the wait wasn't long at all. The service was great and the food came out at the perfect pace. Everything tasted so great together. We sat outside on the patio, as the weather was amazing. We also had the sparkling rosé that is a must try.

Food was amazing. I had the Field Peas, Cheesy Grits, Sautéed Carrots, and Squash. The Field Peas were amazing but the Cheesy Grits were beyonddddd amazing. I need a big bowl right now. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The decor was of large oversized pictures and pairings; perfect decor. I sat at the Chefs Bar, the wait for a table was close to 45 minutes but was worth the wait. The bar waitress greets you as yours sitting and asks you if you’d like a beverage. The bread sliver had a smile on her face the entire time she was slicing bread; it made me think that she thought she had the best job in the building, that was great to see. The food smelled amazing and tasted amazing. The bread pudding was warm and the bourbon glaze was two thumbs up. The chefs were young and friendly. I enjoyed talking with the chef directly in front of me. Overall, 5 stars.

I have been looking for the best steak in Valdosta and have finally found it!!! As a Carnivore, I eat a Ribeye almost everyday. Some I make at home, some I order out. I have been to all the places in Valdosta that serve steak. While some have been good, I've been looking for GREAT and finally found it at Friends Grille and Bar! The 26oz., bone-in, Prime Ribeye cooked rare has finally "fit the bill". At $65 It's a bit pricey for everyday but since it was soooo good and I had leftovers, I will definitely order again. The cut was quality and the flavor was amazing. Many of the steaks I've had at other places were too grisly or were a bit flavorless and then there is the matter of the cook temp being just right, many were overcooked. Yes... even at the non-chain steak places! Great Job Friends!!! Keep it up!

I absolutely love this place! I have been here three times and I have never been disappointed. The fried Zucchini tasted like they got the recipe from the lord himself. The staff is always friendly and going above and beyond. The vibe of the restaurant fits the name.

Went with friends on 01/10/2024 and we got there a little bit early. We were still seated right away. Super friendly staff. I got their chicken thighs with pimento cheese and honey mustard with a side of their pasta salad. It was different but good. It was our first time there. It was all around a great place to eat that day. Thank you for the great experience. We will be back with more people.

Best steak that I've had to date. I enjoyed every single ounce of the eighteen ounces. The pork loin had a wonderful taste and glaze. The service by George was second to none, he was attentive and knowledgeable.

An excellent place for delicious food and calm atmosphere. Cole (server) made sure everything was just right. We had an awesome experience and wonderful food.

The best FILET of all time! If you don’t get the bread pudding you’ll be missing out. Whether you’re local to Valdosta or just in town for the day this restaurant should be at the top of your list!

This is gonna be my new breakfast/brunch restaurant whenever I'm visiting Valdosta Georgia. My family and I had fluffy Belgium waffles waffles and shrimp and grits and no one complained.. It was a wonderful meal and a wonderful atmosphere..

The food here is amazing! The service was also great. We were a group of 7 and the food was out pretty quick. I'm on a diet and decided to get the chicken salad sandwich and house chips. It was delicious!

Server was great and this is a nice place for great vegans as well. I had thw kale salad 🥗. It was really really good.

If you haven't been here you are missing out. Their food is cooked where you can see it. The staff are all kind. The restaurant itself is unique. When it comes to food I can't think of anywhere that beats it. Try their desserts and you will not be let down. Amazing🍹💜
