Palm Coast Fire Department

Thank you to the Palm Coast Fire Fighters who came out today to check my fire detectors & carbon monoxide detectors and changed the batteries for me. I am legally blind & disabled & I appreciate their help and service to our community. God Bless. Stay safe. Thank you.

I requested a home fire safety inspection of my smoke alarms. The Fire Department responded immediately and came out within a couple of days of my request. The two Palm Coast Fire Department employees, Shawn and Nick, who came to do the inspection quickly and expertly assessed my current hard wired system and informed me that the wires weren't even connected (apparently done by the hose flipper I bought the house from), which presents a major fire hazard! Shawn and Nick installed a couple of battery operated smoke alarms for me until I can get an electrician out to fix the problem. Shawn went above and beyond by even cleaning a "dust bunny" off of my wall while he was installing the new smoke alarm. Kudos to Shawn and Nick! They literally probably saved my life by doing the inspection! Can't speak highly enough about the Palm Coast Fire Department!

I would give six stars.
I was working at a site where an inspection was being done. There was a high level of professionalism from the Fire Inspector. He clearly and concisely communicated what he saw as the problem but also gave instructions for the solution. What's more he was firm but kind and diplomatic. I respect the work they do. We are all safer. There is no doubt when a leader enters a room and we are inspired to be better people.

Thanks to this crew for saving the days. The smoke detectors began going off. I know they are busy. I just had surgery and My son is Autistic and wouldn't have been able to handle that sound for long. They were out within 15 mins of the call. You all are the best. Thanks again.

They responded to a fire at our home while we were out shopping one of the officers and saved our dog. We are so thankful they rescued her. Thank you!
