As a home owner of a rental property in a deeded community "Avalon in Leighwood" R section. My tennant were constantly harrased and code enforcement called on by this same home owner who has his RV parked on his grass. However upon my visit to the community Nov 26th (other matters related) I noticed this same home owner had his RV hooked up to his truck parked on the grass at the side of his house in clear view. I called the police regarding another matter RT Tennants abandoning my rental @ 8 Angela Dr. Police was involved when the neighbour came to my home n I felt threatened by him so I called 911. The man walked across the street where his parked RV was in plain sight, police failed to observe this violation in clear site. I realised the cops were one sided in favour of him. When they left I called code enforcement who recognized the violation n they promptly acted & served violation notice. Service from the city was unbelievable, prompt to respond very professional, trustworthy and fair.
My concern now is the police officers who observe this violations and turn a blind eye in there byass judgement in summing up there investigation.
I have my reason to justify why I cant trust the LEO of flagler County. And its rewarding to see the City will do there jobs fairly when making sure all residents are treated equally and fairly when others take sides in deciding who is code violated n who is not.
I am highly suspicious of this neighbour vandalising my home in retaliayion today Dec 4th, police report filed to named him as one suspect for vandalism/burgarily. My home at 8 Angrla dr, Palm Coast fl vs 7 Angela dr, Palm Coast fl. John and Patt I reported them to code enforcement for violation observed.

Thank you, City of Palm Coast for you prompt response.

February 14th 2020 I returned again to my property and observed violation of same, I called the city unable reach some one. Maybe my # is on caller I'd. Avoiding this report. So i emailed the violation, and got prompt reply they were acting on the complaint. Next day I returned the coated RV was moved.

Thank you City, Code enforcement of Palm Coast.

Super nice people to talk too and work with.

They will work with you and help if they can.

Palm Coast has rules and regulations. It’s their job to enforce.

I love my code enforcement officers. They always give me a heads when I am in violation! I can only imagine how difficult this job would be to have and work everyday.

I'm a lawn cutter and I parked on the median outhere where I live at and got notice for it. I did it. What pisses me off is that A Nunez wastes their time and taxpayer money to send a certified letter. They are so scared of the residents, that they have to do stuff like. If my truck was, most likely I was in the front yard. They could just said you are not allowed to park in the median. Have they pissed that many people that they are afraid to talk to people.

Code Enforcement is not pro active. There are so many violations they overlook but selectively enforce the ones they want to. They use "Selective enforcement" in our communities. They drive around and will overlook a serious code violation if it is not called in to them but will tag someone for a trash can if a neighbor complains. They are rude and think they are city police.

Worst city to live in. Overdeveloped no infrastructure. Worst management of a city that I have ever seen. Run by a mayor that gets his backing from the builders. Of course he is a Realtor and being a mayor is such a conflict of interest. Been here 21 years and have watch this city go to hell in a handbag.

Terrible customer service and code enforcement employees pick and choose who they harass.
The office never calls back. Multiple messages left to discuss a violation that has been immediately corrected after slow snail mail notifies us... bc for some reason Nunez will not communicate or leave notices on garage anymore. Then because of flooding, my husband receives one single violation and now we're back to court.
Absolute ridiculous waste of time. We are human beings, weather makes parking difficult in certain areas for certain vehicles. Vehicle leaves every single day and we receive violations like he thinks the truck sits there for 24 hours. Some people have real jobs! Then to receive a violation about moving a basketball hoop, that's been in the same location for 7 YEARS that we share with neighbors and children!!! Nope, he is practically harassing us now with odds and ends yet other neighbors have no notices at all.

The code enforcement in this town is horrible. They say you have one day to move something but send it in the mail that takes 7 days to get to you. So much for one day. Then they pick and choose who they give them too. We have people on the block that have RV’s in the driveway or side of the house all the time. A person at the end of the block that has a trailer in their driveway but the small trailer I have tucked away in the backyard that can’t be seen unless your looking for it gets the violation. Because I’m disabled they feel they can come after me. I don’t have the money and resources to fight them so easy target. The city wouldn’t be a bad place to live if it wasn’t for the very outdated codes. And the targeting of certain people.

Would give 0 stars if I could. A bunch of crooked pathetic group of people who pick and choose what they want to enforce. They do nothing for our community and won’t even talk to you will just post violations without any warning or chance to fix it. Like a car parked on lawn because our driveway is so small and cars have to go to work in the morning so a car couldn’t do anything but move to our lawn. The code enforcer “officer Riley” just “happened” to be on our street as this was going on and decided instead of knocking on our door to say hey that can’t be there or what’s going on to give us a violation because “he doesn’t knock on doors because of people being hostile” looks like you don’t know how to deal with the public and maybe should get a new job. Your job is dealing with the public and maybe if you knew how to do your job properly you wouldn’t have any issues. Good job palm coast you really know how to hire em!

Instead of calling P.C. code enforcement, just dial your music source to Tranqulity FM, because thats all you will get. No answer, no return call, nothing. This is shameful to our community. All they do is harass good people and ignore real problems. I have neighbors with 4 and 5 cars parked all over the place. on the street, inthe yard. I’m talming a few dors from me. They are afraid of them. I got written up for unloading stone and unloading my mower from my truck beside my house. Only the ballot box can fix this mess. DO YOUR JOB stop wasting gas and harassing good citizens.

HORRIBLE customer service!!! I have a parking citation to pay and I keep calling trying to pay it and they keep transferring me back to the main line. they have an attitude for no reason and are not enthusiatic about helping me get to the right place. But from the overall reviews… i am not surprised.

This is a very “clicky city” code enforcement and the attorney try to keep pushing cases for “wins” without looking at the “totality of the circumstances. Won’t be in Palm Coast for long. You’ve been warned

DOES ANYONE BELIEVE THAT CODE ENFORCEMENT UNJUSTLY FINED THEIR PROPERTY OR PLACED LIENS WITHOUT PROPER NOTIFICATION?
If so please contact me as Im working with an attorney to recoup funds unjustly taken from me. For over 2 years the city levied HUGE fines against my property unbeknownst to me. They claim they sent mail to an address i NEVER lived at and was only at a short time for medical care. So the mail was either returned or never sent. Yet Code Enforcement Bill Wry SIGNED LEGAL DOCUMENTS that swore i was "properly notified". How is that possible ?? Yet the entire time, I was right there living at the property. And not a single notice was left.
This is not ok. We have rights. And if there are enough of us, we can come together to bring a class action lawsuit.

The city could tell you what the violation is but they can't tell you how to avoid a violation which is flat out ridiculous

I called to report multiple serious violations across street at rental property. Maria Rivera who works for Palm Coast Code Enforcement was rude and sarcastic. I'm waiting for her supervisor to call back... I'm not holding my breath!

They need to look at some of the Jurassic Rules that are still in place. Make some changes, be progressive and less selective at what they want to enforce.
