Bird of Paradise Nature Preserve

A serene slice of nature smack dab in the middle of suburbia.
Great place to fish from. Also good to cast off from with canoes and kayaks. You can go quite a distance since this lake is connected to the intercoastal.
Check the weather and bring a jacket because the wind can be awfully brisk at times.

Great park to fish and watch birds. No bathrooms or playground. But a picnic table to have lunch and watch the fish and birds. Dirt parking lot. But you will have fun watching them.

However riding my bike I ran into a few scary birds! I've never peddled so fast 🤣

Just a nice place to get off the road & reflect or make a phone call, nice lake. Houses all along the perimeter but there is a picnic table, no restrooms.

Good place to unwind and cast a line, good population of largemouth bass, if the wind is blowing in towards you, difficult to fish, small boat ramp is functional, no gas motors allowed, so it's quiet lake to chill at

It was awesome!! We sat in the shade on a picnic table and watched some red headed ducks, watched some various birds flying by and enjoyed seeing some fish hitting something in the water
