Carl's Bakery

This bakery offers wonderful and heart warming goods. We stopped here on our way home and loved it! Also, the staff is super nice and welcoming! Can definitely recommend.

Stopped at Carl’s in hopes they had Angle Food cake, they had one in the back freezer. Score! We happened to stop when the Firefighters were holding a Burger & Brat fundraiser (chips and a soda meal $10) Buns were from Carl’s and now I regret not getting a package of buns. The Blueberry Fritter was unbelievable. 🥰

Doughy part of long John had a texture that was much better than gas station/grocery store desserts. It was just a little lighter, almost a touch of crisp in there. It’s a superior experience to eat and sat better in my stomach. Recommended

This place had the best raised glazed donut I have ever had! We also really enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches. If you are in Granite Falls this is a must try!! There is also a river walkway across the street and even a few tables to eat alfresco.

It’s the gem of granite falls! Small little bakery, that caters to a wide variety. They have hot menu food items, baked goods ready to take home, and of course the display cases filled with donuts, desserts and other treats!

When anyone in our family has a birthday we order a cake and it has to be from the bakery. We love a chocolate frosted white cake and they do an incredible job! My only slight inconvenience is that they’re closed Sundays and Mondays, which of course they deserve time to attend to other things and have a life outside of the bakery! For me it’s just my birthday last year was on a Sunday, and this year of course it’s on a Monday! We’ll just celebrate a little earlier this year :)

Absolutely fantastic bakery, Every time we are in town, we have to stop for donuts.

We got a bacon egg & cheese croissant and it was the BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had!! The hot chocolate was very delicious as well. If I lived here, I would come everyday. Really nice staff too. Definitely recommend!

Holy Cats, Best apple fritter EVER! Crisp on the outside, nice pull from the pastry inside, and just the right amount of apple and cinnamon. Staff was super friendly.

We LOVE Carls Bakery! Best doughnuts and cookies around! They have an amazing variety! Great place to stop in if you’re visiting town and it’s a local favorite!

The best 1lb sourdough bread rounds. I called in for 2 to pickup. Just in case they run out.
We called one time for blueberry bagels. They were huge.

One of my family's favorite bakeries! The coffee (Cottonwood Coffee beans roasted in Brookings, SD) is fantastic, and a delicious compliment to all of their amazing baked goods. Always worth the stop 👍

Went to Carl's for the 1st time, LOVED all the treats we got. They have the BEST donuts. We will be stopping by often now. The staff is friendly.

A wonderful independent bakery in the centre of Granite Falls, just a few minutes from the highway. They make a sloppy joe-style barbecue sandwich that’s delicious, big hot dogs, and good coffee, too. I had never seen a potato donut before - tried it and loved it. Inexpensive, served by friendly staff. Note they do not take plastic, cash only.

My husband has told me how awesome of a bakery this place is because he used to go there years ago... well today we went there with our kids and goodness he wasnt wrong! So very delicious and such great prices! We will be back! 😁

Super friendly and great fresh baked goods are on order at Carl's Bakery. You can't go wrong stopping at Carl's on your way through Granite Falls. It's definitely worth the short detour off of 212.

Our 1st trip to Carl's Bakery,believe me we'll make regular visits. The Carmel rolls are excellent and the doughnuts are the best. We also bought buns,mmmn so soft and good! They put the grocery stores baked goods to shame,great home town bakeries are the best!

They took a great bakery and made it even better. Obviously worth stopping for a donut, but the lunch options are worthwhile and underrated.
