This place is amazing. I visited for a day trip but there is also camping for long term visits. The park has a high deck in the middle of trees for a great Lake Michigan view. The beach is just a bit of walk from the park. The beach looked long enough but I have to admit that I did not go far enough to see where public beach ended on one side. On one side, the right path to the beach, is a bit close to private property though. The beach was clean and neat. At the park, there is a gazebo, swings and beach volleyball court. The park webpage says there is also horseshoe.

As a family we camp here every year. We have a family get together and this place has made that really special. It's a nice park and the people who operate it are decent too. You'll get water and electric hook up and a place to dump, they also got ice and wood for a bonfire if so desired. All at decent prices. I mean, it's right on lake Michigan. The best part I think is listening to the waves crash at night and bonfires with friends and family. Great memories.

Beautiful secluded little beach. Very soft sand, clear water (Lake Michigan). Great place for the kids to swim, play and build Sandcastles. Great to get some sun, swim and enjoy the Lake and nature with the family. Nice little park area to play also. Bring a picnic and spend the day. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning view every single night we were there! At no point was I disappointed with this camp ground or my camping neighbors! Everyone was super accepting and genuinely sweet! I highly recommend this camp ground!

We enjoy the beautiful trees, birds, watching the sunset on Lake Michigan from the deck... and taking a swim when the lake is warm July and August. The grounds are kept nicely and the manager at the park runs a tight ship, that's appreciated!!! The fee is $30 which is fair being by the beach, note it's 100 steps down AND up! The sites are grass, back in, all different sizes most are RV level. W/E w/dump station. They sell ice and firewood. We travel in a 45' Class A w/TOAD and have camped here for years.

Nice little beach walking the trail to the beach with poison ivy sign (off to the side) was a little nerve-wracking for the wife! Lol

My boyfriend and I had our second camping experience ever here, and we absolutely LOVED the location. We were greeted by a very friendly manager whom helped us thoroughly and quickly, not to mention his super kind nature! He assigned us our lot (for a very low rate), and never have I seen a campsite with lots this large; with as many amenities. The Lots were HUGE. We were truly treated like royalty. There's even a stair case to get down to the beach, as well as a lookout point with a BREATHTAKING view of Lake Michigan, where you can catch the sunset. This place has everything... DEFINITELY will be coming back!

A lovely park and campground on the shores of Lake MI. Beautiful board walk to an overlook or a short, sandy trail to the beach- either one offers beautiful views and serenity!

Nice, small, sandy beach near a campground. Free to picnic and day stay on the beach, even without the park pass. Short walking trail down to the beach is easy. Not good for rock hounds, but would be a great place to take the kids to swim and play in the sand. Clear water.

Great place to camp, clean bathrooms, very clean areas for tents or campers. My kids had a blast. Been going here for the past 30+yrs.

This is a beautiful campground. Rustic. Porta Jon's. No public bathrooms. You go there for the views and access to lake Michigan. Usually very few people. Pets allowed. Electrical at every site.

I have been camping here since I was a child. We love it! Downside is no showers or normal bathrooms. But the bathrooms "aren't that bad", but.... be aware you should have at least some tolerance for the outhouse lifestyle.

The beach is great. Never crowded and it's big enough to walk for a while.

I love the area, and the campground is close enough for trips to silver lake.

We love this campground! Very well maintained, beautiful beach and it's fairly quiet. No showers but enough water spigots and hose to refill your camper. All electric sites, they are decent size and most are grassy. Dog friendly, unless it's a bulldog.
The area is very nice with a few small grocery stores, a few attractions and a bike path all with in 20 mins.

Very good beach. We just used the south day parking. There are about 75 steps down to the beach with the south trail. No steps via the north trail.

Park looks good for camping. Water and electric. Only put toilets but there is a dump station.

Looks to be $30/night. Entrance is just before where the road gets really rough. North of Claybanks Pottery.

This is a wonderful family friendly park and campground. It sits on a bluff high above Lake Michigan. On the northern end of the park is a deck that winds up at a spectacular view. On the southern end are stairs that take you down to the beach. If you like to snorkel, there is a shipwreck very shallow there, called the Daisy Day.

Great small campground. Rustic sites as well as electric hookup sites. Bathrooms are a bit rough but you're camping after all. Short walk to a beautiful beach. Short drive to Silver Lake as well. Far enough away that you aren't disturbed by any of the Silver Lake partying but close enough to get there and back easily. I would definitely recommend this campground and will certainly be going back.
