Superior Stay Hotel

This is a superior hotel! From the friendly, competent desk clerks to the warm breakfast before checkout, our stay couldn’t have been better. The breakfast choices were better than some expensive hotels we’ve stayed in. We only stayed one night as we were traveling through the area. The area has several nice options for eating. If in the area, we will definitely stay there again.

Great location if you are interested in being close to Lake Superior parks, the college, or shopping & dining opportunities. Clean, spacious, affordable. We have stayed here many times when visiting Marquette. Also, fabulous free breakfast, snacks in the lobby, and afternoon cookies.

The hotel was clean and modern. All the employees were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic, as was the woman who served the breakfast. She was so positive and kept everything well stocked and cleaned up. We loved the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies in the inviting lobby, as well as the fireplace. Nice and close to NMU and the downtown area. We’ll definitely stay there again.

Superior stay worked out well for a quick trip to the UP for winter photography. The weekday rate was a good value. (I doubt I would pay the weekend rate, but that's more me not willing to pay $100-$200 for a basic hotel room, others may not mind) Things were clean, check in was easy and the woman who checked me in was friendly and kind. Handled a request I had no problem. I would probably ask for an upper floor next time. But ya, worked just fine for my needs.No issues.

This was a wonderful place to spend the night! We typically try to find a room off the main roads and this hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. Good breakfast too

Perfect location. Totally reasonable price. Hotel and room was clean and modern. Breakfast was basic hotel breakfast, some hot and cold items, but did the trick. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again if in the area and will recommend to anyone that is visiting the area.

A great new hotel. Up to date, spacious, very clean rooms, nice bathroom. Very good breakfast. Director and all the staff are all very kind and nice. I stayed at the hotel for 8 days and they helped me with everything I needed, even more than I expected. The location is great, with many restaurants and cafes, 15 minutes walk to downtown Marquette and also to the Lake Superior. The price is good value fir many regarding everything that the hotel offers.
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Marquette.

We arrived fairly late to the hotel after a long road trip. The gentleman working at the front desk was super friendly while booking us in. As all the restaurants in the town had closed for the evening there was no where left to get food. The gentleman took us to the buffet and allowed us to grab some items. He even offered to to make us fresh eggs and bacon. All in all the stay was short but amazing. The rooms were spotless, plenty of parking and great location centered downtown.

This is hands down the best value hotel you will ever stay in! Super clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, super friendly staff that genuinely want to help ensure your stay is perfect. And then you have warm cookies and an AMAZING free continental breakfast with fresh selection of breads, hot eggs, potatoes, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt bar, bagels, scones & doughnuts, juices, milk (even chocolate)...and I'm sure I'm missing something! All of this for an amazing value compared to other hotels in the area. And if you bicycle, they built a really nice safe storage shed to protect you bicycle from the elements. This hotel is also in a perfect location to bike the trails, walk to breweries, shop, or just take in the beautiful lake shore! I highly recommend this hotel to family and friends!

We enjoyed our overnight stay here. The room was spacious and clean with a king size bed and no carpets(hotel room carpets are gross). The staff was super friendly and informative. The room price was quite reasonable and I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Great location within town and super nice for the price paid. Rooms were clean and breakfast had everything you'd expect (plus fresh and good quality food). Great spot.

Lovely little hotel. Excellent customer service and directions for any issue you may have. Super close to the college. Spotless. Decent free breakfast, fitness room and dry sauna. Definitely will be our go to when we come to town. Don’t let the low price fool you. It’s a great hotel.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are updated, clean, and spacious, and the breakfast is great! Convenient location to anywhere you want to go in Marquette. Extremely affordable prices round out all the reasons we will keep coming back to Superior Stay!

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were very clean and large. The breakfast was top notch. All amenities you would like at a hotel were covered. I would recommend this hotel it is a 10 out of 10.

Great service, my last stop in the US while driving from Western Canada, and was the nicest and also cheapest hotel I'd stayed in.
Breakfast is great, and unlike some hotels, the breakfast items change each day so don't get boring.
Had to stay an extra day than planned and the front desk staff sorted me out, kept the same room and were very helpful.

Only negative is if you are sensitive to noise ask for any room that isn't on the ground floor - as there is no separation between the ground floor rooms and the lobby, so can occasionally get noisy with new guests arriving.

Arrived late. Rebecca sent a text to make sure I knew how to access our room. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Coffee was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Checkout was simple.

Ok so this is not a national chain hotel. But this hotel is cleaner and more modern than many of the so called 4 start hotels i stay at when i travel around the country. The service is friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The room are large and all new. The Breakfast is great and fresh. I found this gem of a hotel after the 2 of the national hotel chains were sold out. So glad i stayed there and this will be my hotel on every visit to Marquette from now on. Rooms are spotless. The employees seem to actually want to work there not like many hotels now where you have to beg for a clean room. The hotel is also within walking distance of several great local restaurants.

We stayed overnight in the King Room with Sleeper couch. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hardwood floors were a nice touch along with the shoe/boot tray to keep the floor dry. I also thought the hooks for our coats was a nice touch to the room. The room had mood lighting which allowed for a softer light while watching TV and additional lighting when we were reading during the evening. The breakfast had a variety of items. My husband had eggs, sausage and potatoes while I enjoyed a blueberry muffin and scone. We would definitely stay there again but probably not during a time when NMU is hosting a football game since the hotel is only a stone's throw away from the dome. Also, if the hotel was busy it may be difficult to park a larger vehicle if the parking lot is crowded. Luckily, it was a bad weather day/night and my husband could be selective as to where he could park his crew cab truck.

The room and the hotel overall are very clean. The service was superb. Breakfast was pretty good. Good price for excellent service. Will definitely coming back next time we visit Marquette.
