Northern Michigan University

Graduated back in '12. So glad I decided to go here. Some truly amazing professors, great location, was able to take part in some really great projects.

Took my teenager on a campus tour. We were both treated well, got to see the campus and talk to a few department professors. It was a great experience!

Great campus, Marquette is amazing. Go CATS!

Top-notch faculty and an consistently-updated facility. One may wish for the administration to be more forthcoming and involved, but they generally did okay.

Cost was low, plenty of scholarship opportunities, on-campus living conditions were better than many.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

I went to NMU 06-11 and had the time of my life. it was the best experience I could ever hope for. hopefully my son will be attending in the future too. For future students, don't think about the party life...everywhere does that....look at everything else this northern offers that they don't, certain classes, class sizes, the Superior dome, Lake Superior, cliff diving, the Upper Peninsula, being away from the majority of rude Americans ( being kind is something the U.P. is known for) research activities, the U.P. 200, Greek life, classes taking place in the environment ( not just the classroom) and then, ADD to that all the experiences like meeting people and partying that you get at all the other universities, although as far as partying goes.....in the upper peninsula drinking is a sacrament and a right of passage....that's what NMU is....and much much more....it's an experience that can't be stated in one paragraph, it needs to be experienced. I mean where else can you do what I did and not schedule classes on Fridays so you can go cliff jumping and then hiking. talk about a way to start the weekend.

The Dome offers a fun place to take kids on a rainy day and several community events are held there.

I stayed the night in the dorms for a school feild trip. The dorms were clean and set up awesomely. (Aside from a little dust under the dressers) I thought it was an awesome experience and im thinking about going to college here. :)

Beautiful campus. Very friendly staff and students. The buildings are gorgeous and it has a lot to offer. Definitely a gem in the north.

Northern Michigan University is great! It's an awesome place to attend college; so many opportunities to do things outdoors while getting a great education.

Beyond impressed with Jared who gave us a tour today! As well as running into the school board who stopped and talked with us for awhile.

Never been more excited to go to a place before. Can't wait to be up there fall of 2016 as a transfer student!
