Founders Landing

So just past this beautiful loca, there's a secret babbling brook. It was enchanting. If you venture a few steps in, you'll notice an unexpected tree swing. Shhh...

One of my favorite spots in the UP. I am originally from Marquette and this is where I learned to swim.

Not only great views, but a great shoreline for walking in the water alone or as a team. That's right, our UP Rowing club walks in carrying our rowing and sculling shells. It's a fabulous place to learn how to row! Our club house, along with restrooms, is just up the walking path. Check out uprowing.com to find out more.

One of my most favorite iconic landmarks in Marquette. It always makes me excited to know we're almost to Presque Isle Park. (Also an awesome and must see place if you're visiting the area.) We went in the middle of the winter for the first time and it was a whole new experience! We hiked along the frozen lake shore to the south east and saw young families skating and groups of men playing hockey. It was 2 degrees with a wind chill that made it feel like -17. There were some spots of sun too. We hiked up the little creek bed that comes down to right near the little parking area on the main road. It was frozen and absolutely stunning. The sound of the water running through the ice was so entertaining also. Like natures music! Great spot to explore any season!

Beautiful lake Superior in MI.

This place's view of Lake Superior is so dope. When I went, there were congenial (and tipsy) older gentlemen who yelled at my group of friends through a megaphone to hug out an argument. This pushed the overall experience through the stratosphere.

Good access to the bike path. Clean heated restrooms open through the winter. Open around 7:30am. Nice small stream and waterfall. Fun place to walk around in the summer.

Paved walking trails along the water provide great views!

Great are and point for sunrise, a easy hike and a good view of the lake and lower harbor. There is a small beach a waterfall to explore.

Great walking trail.

Peaceful area to take a walk or walk your pet on a paved pathway, or take a foot path to the lake. Also public bathrooms, and 3 Sm parking spots each having about 6 spaces each.

Founders landing is another nice little Park to visit. There is a nice view of a river which flows nearby and birds can be seen in the harbor or in nearby trees.

Beautiful park, located in a nice area within walking distance of restaurants downtown. Would recommend visiting.

Can bring your dog swimming there and alcoholic beverages as long as in cañs no one there can have whole beach to just yourself never closed

Beautiful location to launch kayaks. Not enough parking, esp with contractors taking up majority of spaces.

Peaceful back to nature experience. I hope this place remains open to the public to enjoy the lakefront activities.

Always enjoy my time visiting with Mother Superior and the surrounding of the lake.
