This is a cool spot to come with the grandkids or take a walk with a loved one, or throw a boat in the river, it's a beautiful drive full of nature sounds, we always see a deer to and plenty of birds

Always well kept and very beautiful the mosquitoes are terrible though.

Plenty of places to fish or picnic. Swimming is not allowed. Lots of great hiking trails and biking trails.

Be sure to check out the woodcote house as well very well built and historical.

I went to check out the trails that Lowell has to offer today. The two park rangers I met were very friendly and helpful! They gave me advice about which trails might be best and warned me about the mosquitoes! It ended up being a quick visit since I wasn't dressed for dealing with mosquitoes, but I hope to be back soon! Also, if you stop by the visitor center, they have a live owl in captivity.

Nice State Park with the winding roads down a long forested hill to the Rock River below. This is the same Park where President and actor Ronald Reagan was a life guard during his youth. It is said that many young damsels faked drowning to be rescued by this handsome young man. There are numerous shelters nestled in the trees for family gatherings and picnics. Many people go there to walk the trails and fish in the river. There are playgrounds for the kids and a boat launch for the fishermen. I recommend visiting this nice State Park. I forgot to mention the Ruth Edwards indoor nature center as another nice place to stop and visit in the park.

This is not a place to be missed! My children and I had so much fun visiting with Yowl the great horned owl, the park ranger, and the fantastic wildlife teacher and botanist, who was great with my kids and had them interested in everything. There were a multitude of fun learning activities and games and we can't wait to come back for some of the many events scheduled. Thank you!

Great trials to walk or bike in this splendid natural wooded environment with lots of wildlife to enjoy seeing, from birds to animals to insects. There are friendly park rangers to assist you and staff at the nature center- including a botonist do guide you with interesting information about the park's natural wonders. Must see their real live owl who lives there too!

A beautiful place to visit. There are programs for kids, nature walks, interesting information about local animals, plant, etc. My favorite thing is seeing the live owl which can be seen from inside or out. I definitely recommend stopping here or checking the web sight for activities!
