Best Bakery Ever!!! The staff is lovely and the baked goods are even better. Kathryn Elder is such an asset to Rochester and creates an environment welcome to all. I love spending morning, afternoon, and evening at Mockingbird. Can’t get enough of this place!

There are so many things I love about this place! The food and service quality are exceptional. But few superlatives would do justice to the sense of place that is happening here. If you need to be among people or bring a book (or pick out one from their lending library) and be lost, you will find it here. Mockingbird Bakery is the best!

At a recent visit, I tried the pecan coffee cake muffin and a cold brew. Took a scone, chocolate chip cookie and sugar cookie to go. Everything was amazing. The bakery is so cute, my only wish is that I lived closer and could hang out here longer.

Has quickly become a weekend favorite of ours! Excellent coffee, delicious baked goods & friendly service ever time. Love the cafe atmosphere & outdoor seating area. Right off the bike trail and definitely worth the short drive from Springfield. Mockingbird won’t disappoint!

Just had the Chai-Lie for the first time and it was like a warm hug in a mug. The scones are always on point. It’s a cute coffee shop with wonderful employees.

We had a cake made by Mockingbird Bakery for my mother in laws 60th birthday party and were incredibly happy with it! Not only was it beautiful (ombré purple colors and rosettes all over) it was absolutely delicious! It was a multiple layer carrot cake and everyone loved it and couldn’t stop praising it. I highly recommend checking them out for your next custom cake or baked item needs!

The cake is amazing! Mockingbird Bakery created the perfect cake for my daughter’s mermaid themed birthday. It looked awesome and tasted great. Now we are wishing we would have gotten a bigger cake so we’d have more leftovers. If you’re looking for a cake, this is the place to try!

It’s so warm, inviting and every staff person will put a smile on your face as they serve you the most amazing coffees, beverages and Padgett items. Also their doggie treats are pretty fabulous: Duchess approved! Run… don’t walk to Mockingbird Bakery today!!!

I had the Friday quiche today - BEST I've had in a long time. I love this place, clean, cute and feels warm, friendly and contemporary. Their cakes are beautiful and most importantly DELICIOUS! I love the Oatmeal Raisin and the Snickerdoodle cookies as well. Our dogs love the dog biscuits too. Well worth the stop!!

Mockingbird Bakery is one of my favorite spots - mostly for the reading nook! I LOVE that Kathryn built her bakery around the love for a book. The scones are always tender and delicious so when I have the opportunity to grab one, some coffee, and sit in the window seat with a book, I always take it. When Kylie is working behind the counter, you know you're in for a smile and helpful answers to questions! So grateful for such an amazing place close to home.

My son and I went to Mockingbird Bakery in Rochester and were greeted by smiles and kind words. They had Valentine scones, tomato and pesto cheese breakfast sandwiches and blueberry muffins today. Everything tasted wonderfully and the service was outstanding. This small-batch bakery truly complements its home town.

Mockingbird is one of my favorite places! The space, the drinks, the food, and the people!! The best!

I had the pecan roll today. We were passing through on our way home to Kathryn’s hometown of Effingham. I waited until I got home and microwaved for 30 seconds. Fantastic. My grandkids loved any of the iced cookies and the red velvet cupcakes.

Great local bakery. We happy they are in our little community.

I got to try some Mockingbird scones at an event today and they were a HUGE hit. Our hosts raved about how easy Mockingbird was to work with and how they went above and beyond to make us some treats. Thank you so much, Mockingbird! Hope to pop into the shop soon!

This is a great little bakery! I’ve had the cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, scones and muffins and they all were delicious! I also love their cold brew and my kids love the raspberry lemonade. The staff is so friendly too!

Mockingbird Bakery is such a wonderful environment. Fabulous staff and awesome coffee. Baked goods vary daily & always have something good!

Make sure to get in early if you want to try the muffins or scones - they sell out quickly. The chocolate chip cookies were excellent, as was the cold brew.
