What a GREAT shop and store! AWESOME selection of meats, cheese, wine, fresh homemade jars of just about anything… fun experience and we left with a wide variety of many things! Nice to meet you Chris! (Kris) apologies for spelling… you were a hoot and a pleasure to get to know.. thank you for your hospitality ~ we will be back and will share to others to stop by!

Wow we get our cow processed here. This has been the absolute best place to.work with and the meat is outstanding. We have done several butchers and Johnson has been better than the others by far. Excellent shop also.

The meat selection is incredible, and they're pizza's are out of this world!!! Piled high with ingredients from center to the edge!! Julie was so helpful and friendly and went out of her way to guide us through the store!!( she makes the pizza's too!! ) So to sum it up, this place is the best hands down!! A must stop in your travels!!!

Had a pig done here. Very happy with these people. They were very helpful on advising how to cut. Very positive attitude. Definitely recommend this place. Not sure what people are complaining about.

I have had nothing but great experiences coming here, the staff is always friendly the meats are always great and the selection is amazing. My personal favorite is the beef jerky they make it there fresh and it's amazing!

We drive here from Madison a couple times a year to buy meat. Always been happy with our purchase. We like the area and enjoy the trip.

I drive an hour and 15 minutes once a month to buy from the store. Amazing beef jerky, beef sticks and all other products. The additional 5% discount for having a Carry conceal permit is a great bonus.

My husband and I heard a lot about the Johnsons Sausage Shoppe! We were in town so we decided to stop by. We were impressed the minute we walked in the door. We sampled some delicious bratwurst and shopped around the store. Amazed to see a large variety of fresh cut meat, and they also have a variety of alcoholic beverages. The owner was there, she has a great personality and her service was top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. We definitely recommend you to visit "Johnsons Sausage Shoppe"

This is the second year that I have taken my deer into their ship to be processed. They have some of the best customer service around. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of their sausage and their butchers know the proper way to cut meat.

High quality products and a great variety. Chris always takes care of us, personally. Never had a bad experience. We drive more than an hour each way to go see her. All of our family butchering is done with her. Couldn't be happier. Thanks!

We love this place and drive 90 miles about every 6 weeks to stock up. The lamb is fantastic, gyro meat, marinated chicken. Everything is amazing! The corned beef was the best I ever had. I would put that against any NY deli! This is worth the trip. The owner is fantastic as well!

Hands down nicest friendly and most helpful people I've met. Showed us hanging weight on one of our cows just so we didn't question later, gave us a tour super nice and understanding about everything.

Bought a hog from a local high schooler who raised it for the county fair only for the fair to be canceled. It was brought in to Johnson’s and I filled out a “hog sheet” online, I was contacted to verify my cut preferences and contacted a short time later to inform me processing was complete. When I picked it up a gentleman who helped me couldn’t have been nicer. My experience was A+, I see some posts of people thinking they received less product than they brought in, I’m not saying their wrong especially since I know nothing of their situation, however, keep in mind you don’t get the entire animal back, once the head, innards and legs are removed it cuts down substantially on weight. For instance my hog weighed over 300 live, once butchered it had a hanging weight of 204, that’s a 1/3 weight reduction, I received 4 heaping boxes of product back, each easily weighed 50 lbs, I am confident I received my 204 lbs of pork in return. I’ve eaten some of my pork and couldn’t ask for a tastier outcome.

Pork we just picked up is excellent. The Italian sausage flavor is fantastic. Super nice people!

I have been processing my deer at Johnson’s since 2018 and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and they offer a lot options for wild game processing as well as in their store. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

I came in looking for rabbit and blood sausage and found both. I also found some other cool meat and cheese items. Definitely recommend, ample selection of meats.

Fantastic products. We have our cows, pigs, sheep, and deer processed here. Price is competitive with other butcher's but their items are vacuum sealed and the seasonings and variety of choices are amazing. On the one occasion we had a mistake the owner resolved it quickly and fairly. Another instance I had an issue making my drop off date and they were understanding and adjusted the date to accomodate me. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.

Johnson’s Sausage makes the best take home mac n cheese ever! I’m very particular, but decided to give it a try along with my barbecue shredded pork. Both were excellent, and I grabbed a bottle of Dubliner to finish the meal. Their whiskey selection is second to none.

Sorry others have had tough experience. Mine was the exact opposite. Chris and her team were terrific and their packaging operation is head and shoulders better than any meat processor I’ve used. Highly recommend!

I have NEVER - EVER had a bad cut of meat from Johnson's. I have ordered whole pigs on several occasions over the years and bought halves of beef on a few occasions. The financial value was what peaked my interest but the packaging and the flavorful quality has kept me a dedicated and loyal patron. All the cuts suite my family size, and then shrink wrapped and labeled clearly.( Nothing is more irritating than a freezer full of "butcher paper-snowballs--we all know what I'm taking about.).
Chris Johnson is a dedicated shop owner. Unlike most business owners, as the company becomes successful it is common to see less and less of the owners, but she is there 7 days a week with a hands on where needed attitude. I have read some negative reviews lately, and I am here to tell you they are NOT TRUE to the best of my knowledge, it is a ex employee that is spending more time belittling a difficult situation instead of being a mature adult and moving on. Please do not give credence to this petty behavior..
