Cordell's Automotive Express Service & Tire

Happy to have found this place. We were on a road trip from Illinois to northern Wisconsin and while driving on the interstate, I had been hearing an alarming "flapping" sound coming from underneath the car. We decided we better find an automotive shop, and quick Google search is how we found Cordell's. We stopped in to see if they would have the time to take a look. They made the time, discovered the (thankfully minor) issue, and took care of it at a reasonable price. We were back on our way within an hour. The staff was super friendly as well. Fabulous experience getting service today at Cordell’s in Portage. My 2016 RAM 1500 was in for fluid changes, oil change and tire rotation. The team was extremely nice, professional and fast. They were best price around and got my vehicle in quickly. Highly recommended and will return!

Got an oil change for my vehicle. They were very fast and efficient. I had a discussion about whether it was time to rotate and the male employee at the front (sorry I don’t know his name) measured the tire tread and said that I was good to go. I appreciate the honesty and not trying to upsell me when I really didn’t need it yet.

I had last minute car trouble and they were able to get me in right away. They took excellent care of me and my car. The team was very caring and friendly. I was panicking about my plans being ruined for the weekend and they made sure to save it! Very highly recommend! Loved the front desk staff 😁

I recently had my rear brakes done at Cordell’s. I called for my reservation and everything went according to plan. They quoted me the price and it was a little more expensive than Blystones. However, Cordell’s completed the work on time. Additionally, Blystones charges 3% interest when using a credit card. So, in the long run, it was cheaper. I was completely satisfied with the brake job. They were professional and they treat the customer with respect. I will do all of my future maintenance work with them.

I did everything that you probably shouldn't do when visiting an automotive repair shop. I stopped by a few minutes before 8am( They open at 8), I had no appointment, and instead a vehicle repair I had a riding lawn mower tire. They did not make me wait until after 8 and they didn't turn me away for a lawncare repair vs vehicle repair. They were all very nice, said they could fix, and did it right away. I was impressed with the customer service and their willingness to fix a problem outside their daily normal. Great Job. You've created a loyal customer. I will be back for my future vehicle repair needs.

I love Cordell’s in Portage! They are extremely friendly and explained everything to me about my vehicle before working on it and I was thinking I would have to leave my car overnight but it only took a couple of hours! I highly recommend them for all vehicle needs.

I was skeptical… broke down in Iowa and nursed my way to Portage. They did everything possible to meet my deadline of going back home to Missouri for my family and my job! Thank you for an old car it is running great! You will always have my business when I am in town! Hopefully it will be a different car!!!

My First time at Cordells. Very positive experience. They have the right tools for diagnostic procedures. I went in expecting a major issue. Found an additional problem and they were able to resolve it. I anticipated a suspension or steering system flaw. Everything checked out, but I desperately needed an expected alignment. Found wheels out of balance. One extremely out of sync. Balanced and rotated wheels. Full brake inspection. Oil change. The vehicle drives like new. No vibration. Smooth. Drives straight and tight. The report when completed is amazing. It's detailed. It includes photographs. It includes explanations. It was very informative and detailed. Quotes were provided for future maintenance. It was a very positive experience. I would recommend Cordells and will use them in the future. Good communication. Quotes via text. Updated via text. I was impressed how a shop utilized technology. These guys are awesome. Dropped vehicle off and went on an Amtrak ride. Everything fixed when I got back. Great communication and service. They even gave me a ride to the train station. Will be back.

3 weeks ago I brought my car into the first place I saw on the way to work which happened to be Cordell's. It was raining and my wipers weren't working. Not only did they get me taken care of right away when I came back and asked for a diagnostic just because the car was new (to me) there happened to be a list of issues that needed to be addressed. :( When they saw the list overwhelmed me they assured me they would work on the safety issues 1st and I could bring it back as many times as I needed so I could split the repairs based on my paydays. The car is all fixed and I'm a customer for life!!! Thanks Cordell's!!!

New to the area and received a 39.99 oil change flyer so gave them a try. Very quick service and the front end was very friendly with good conversation while I waited. Oil change and a rotate done and was able to see some problem areas with my truck I wasn’t aware of. Definitely my new go to spot

Called to get an oil change on my way through town. They were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Got me in very quick . Loved the detailed inspection that was sent to my phone. Never seen something like that anywhere else I have ever stopped. Very Thankful for the people there that took care of me. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for good honest auto repair. I will stop here anytime I am in the area.

They are very helpful and answered all our questions. Took our 2nd car, looked it over, again very helpful and answered my questions.

These guys are great! Wasn’t supposed to have my car back til next week…done in 2 days! Answered all my questions without any hesitation. The ability to text is awesome…I can’t have my phone on at work so that’s a bonus for me.

They’re very patient in explaining what needs to be done and don’t pressure you to make big decisions.
