Cute little bookstore with huge creative/shared space upstairs that has a fun little child’s area attached. Great selection of books and local gifts from a variety of authors and artists. Staff are very helpful also and gave great suggestions!

My 12 year old daughter and I were in Verona for a gymnastics competition recently. We had some time to kill before checking in to our hotel, so we stopped in at this amazing little book store. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the book selection was great, and I absolutely loved the space upstairs. It's the perfect place to buy a book and curl up with it on a comfy couch. My daughter and I also loved the sticker selection, the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, and the free samples of an amazing chocolate s'mores candy. Our favorite thing was the jelly bean machine that "doesn't run on quarters, but instead on adult permission". We got such a giggle out of that! The store is well laid out, visually appealing, and has really good lighting, which is important in a book store! They also have a couple of places where you can find some freebies like stickers and pamphlets of book recommendations. When we go to Madison to visit family, we'll definitely make a little side trip to Verona again to hit up Kismet books!

Lovely eclectic bookstore with a fine selection of affirming books for adults and kids. There is a playroom upstairs for the kids.

This independent bookstore not only has tons of children’s book but also have fantastic local artist craft items. Family-friendly environment. So glad bookstores are booming and becoming more diverse.

Gorgeous hometown bookstore with phenomenal librarian notes and great selections. Homey upstairs lounge that I’d bring my kids to in a heartbeat. Big smiles from everyone. Love local shops like these!

The most accommodating, and inclusive space I've seen in my life. Love the positive, gentle attitude of the staff and owner (and their chickens!)

You can even place pre-orders over the phone. Super-duper simple; took me 3 minutes!

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys being enchanted, happy, or wants to have a good day!

This bookstore is what community is all about. The book selection is really nice for the size of the store, everything is clean and well maintained, and the building itself is absolutely stunning. There’s a rentable space upstairs that I can’t help but think would be a gorgeous spot for a very intimate wedding. The employees are helpful and the amount of resources this establishment provides free of charge is a love letter to the community.

We are newer to the area and I stopped here on a whim with my two small children. This is hands down the best bookstore I have been to. The owner was very helpful and kind. I was able to let my children play in their toy book upstairs while I browsed. They have a great selection of children’s books that are diverse and inclusive. I also loved all the cute gift shop items. They even have chickens, a pup, and two hamsters! I will definitely be stopping back soon!

Small, but wonderful. This shop is welcoming, inclusive, and has a great little selection and will find books they don't carry. Highly recommend...shop local, support your small businesses, and independent bookseller!

Everything about this store is incredible. The merchandise is unique and meaningful (not to mention local!) And the associates were absolutely amazing! Both people were not only helpful but social and eager to tell me and my daughter more! I cannot wait to come back when I'm in town again.

I'd give this place a dozen stars if I could. Kismet has an impeccably curated selection of books and the very best lefty vibes. The store has chickens in the side yard, and if there are eggs in the basket on the counter, you can take them for free. If I was designing the perfect bookstore, I don't know that I could do much better. My only quibble is that it is in an old building, so it can feel cramped when it's busy and the second level is up an older, steep staircase.

Such a lovely little bookstore, right on the corner of Verona and Main in a beautiful, old, brick building. A nice selection of really great books, obviously carefully considered and chosen. Nice, helpful staff. As with most bookstores these days, they also sell a bunch of tchotchkes, but these are also well-chosen. One does wonder if, with such a small store, they might better use some of this space for more books, but that's more a suggestion than a complaint. Overall, a great addition to Verona's downtown.

One of my favorite things to do on vacation is visit independent bookstores, this one was awesome! Had a nice selection of books, bookish swag, games, candles, art, jewelry, and much more. The owners were absolutely wonderful and so nice and the store was so cute and charming I seriously did not want to leave! I even got a book from a local author I'm super excited about! We drove out of our way to come here and it was worth every minute. Definitely check this store out if you are around the area, they even have chickens!!! Thank you so much.

For book events, browsing books, bringing kids, and private events, Kismet has been great! I love reading the notes about books they recommend, my kids love seeing chickens and the toy room upstairs, and we've gotten some great books here.

A delightful local bookshop run by kind and inclusive people. It's a place that you can feel is loved because of the attention to details. It's also very supportive of local authors and artists. What a gem in our community!

So happy to have a quality bookstore in Verona, especially in this older, restored building downtown. Always surprised that they recognize me when I come in. Very nice and helpful people. A nice selection of books, games and gifts. They are very happy to order anything they don't have in stock as well, of course. Always a pleasant experience browsing their offerings. I'd highly recommend supporting this independent bookstore.

My favorite bookstore. Like you'd expect, they have a great selection and can order anything they don't have. But they also host community events, have a kids play area, and sell fun stickers, art, and knickknacks by local artists.

The cutest little bookshop! Fantastic selection of children's chapter and picture books. The bathroom is adorably wallpapered and well stocked with feminist awesomeness. Upstairs is a great studio space featuring a artwork by local artists, young and old! Jane Austen lovers should pay special attention to the special section just for her works and inspired writers!
