FAIR WARNING: It is a ONE MAN show back there, owner does all of the cooking and order taking himself. It will be about an hour or so wait on busy nights. Don’t let that turn you off though! It is worth the wait.

This guy is such a a hard worker! Food is always made to order and hot and fresh. Definitely worth the wait if he's is busy.

When I visited my cousin who recently moved to Merrill, we decided to try out this place.

The place looks like it has seen better days, but you know if it's a sketchy stripemall restaurant, you know the food is gonna slap. We ordered our food and waited for a bit, which was fine since there's only one guy running the who thing.

We grabbed our food and went back to his place, and oh my god, it slapped so hard. It was the best general tsos and lo mein I have ever had. The guy running the joint is doing magic.

Would highly recommend. Great food at a decent price.

The chef pays attention to detail! The best Chinese food I ever ate hands down...we ordered the orange chicken which had candied orange in it. Every single dish tasted different and so fresh. It was cooked right in front of us in the galley style kitchen. The vegetable chicken was so delicious...you could taste the fresh lemon in the marinade! And when I opened the house fried rice I could not believe what a beautiful color it was. I could not say enough good things about the attention to detail. Fyi it's a good idea to call ahead and order over the phone. It is worth the wait.

To Dana Diels- hoping you are a recently new citizen to Merrill. The China Inn is very, very popular here. It is silently understood that they get extremely busy for lunch 11A- 1P and dinner 5P- 7P. I have called many times and have had a few times where they did not answer- due to there are only 1 full-time cook and another cook/cashier, which causes delays as you can imagine. Best advice- plan ahead as well as you can and experiment with finding the best time to call.

Best, best food EVER. Nicest people, patient, and sweetest. We go every chance we can when we are in Merrill area. You like Chinese food, this is a must stop and you too will be forever addicted. Hard to find better and good prices too.

Our favorite Chinese restaurant, we eat here at least once a week. Great food, good prices and ample portions. They are very busy on weekends (closed Sundays) so it's best to call ahead to order. Jun and Jean run the place and do a wonderful job!! 😊

Best place in town for Chinese takeout. Best tasting, super fast, and very affordable. No atmosphere or wait staff to speak of though. Depending on if the chef has help, English ordering over the telephone can be difficult.

You be patient and let that magical man work; usually solo. Lo mein, general tso's, or anything with shrimp will change your views on chinese food thus ruining your local establishment forever 😈.

I've been eating at China Inn since I was a little girl and never once have I been disappointed with their quality or service! They make delicious fresh meals that cater to all types of taste.
I never hesitate to recommend their food!

Great prices and the food is phenomenal. The best Chinese place in town for sure. The other Chinese restaurant. I've been to multiple times and every time the food taste kinda dried like it's been pretty cooked where China in you can watch them cook it before you purchase it.

Great soup, by quart. I was ill and my friend ran & got me two quart, EggDrop & WonTon. I live over by the GAZEBO. SOUP WAS STILL VERY HOT! PS: This happened to be on 1 of Merrill's wonderfully worst snow storms, & darn COLD.
After being in ER all day this was great, several meals, warmed in microwave. Easy to get a good meal when you're down off your feet!

I highly recomend the shrimp with lobster sauce! it was so delicious!!!!! That was my favorite! it is on there lunch specials! so seriously try it once its very good!

Best Chinese food around. Very friendly staff. Very inexpensive food. I recommend the crab ragoons. You wont find better ones anywhere.
