Abbey Springs Yacht Club

We had the delightful experience of being guest at the Lake Geneva Abbey Springs Yacht Club. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We were greeted professionally and our table overlooking the lake was idea. It offers dining with a splendid view location of the lake in Fontana. Any place we might have sat offered a great view. The place was busy, and the bar is certainly very popular.

We read from other reviews that the menu was “small”, but our party thought it was ample. Our host, a member, dines there often and reports always finding a great selection for dinner. The Blackened Ahi Tuna Steak was amazing. Honestly, I think it may have been the best blackened Ahi Tuna that I can remember. It was served on a saffron risotto (which was fantastic!) with zucchini and avocado. Two of us had this entrée and both rave about it.

Someone else in our party ordered the Pecan Crusted Trout like they have before and has never yet been disappointed with the dish. I may try it next time. And another guest did the ribs and corn, which they seemed okay with.

We shared the Shrimp Cocktail in a Gazpacho Cocktail Sauce. It had a nice kick from horseradish added to it. It was beautifully served and nice and cold. Being a hot day, this was very refreshing. The accompanying white wine and cocktails were also very good.

Membership is required (or being a guest of one), and there is a posted dress code for people enjoying the dining area. It adds to how special the occasion is. Parking is no problem. Customer service is exceptional. Richard, who we made our reservation with was on top of everything. Highly recommended.

The couple of times I’ve been to Abbey Springs Yacht Club, I had a blast. I enjoyed the food, staff, atmosphere & (of course) that view!? Great location in Fontana.

Nestled on the shores of Geneva Lake in the small town of Fontana, The Abbey Springs is an elegant little yacht club. The decor and service leave you with a penchant for the finer things in life. Membership is required, and there is a strict dress code in the dining area.

Wonderful place to unite with friends over a great meal.

The Mater Dei Richard was as usual Pleasant self. The four of us had pecan crusted trout for dinner. It was excellent! Such a generous portion you probably could have shared it with somebody. Then we finished our drinks out doors overlooking the lake by the fire pits. Very nice evening. I've been coming here for 25 years and never had a bad meal.

5 Star Restaurant, no doubt about it. Incredible dining room lakeside views (probably the best) of all Lake Geneva, close & above the shoreline & Beach. Bar & entertainment & band stage dance area a bit small, but uniquely laid out for a personal meeting with other guests.

I really like this place in the summer. I have yet to eat there in the winter, that said, the food and view are some of the best in LG. Thursday evenings are reduced wine night and I think that you need to be a member in order to dine here so I would check that out in advance.

Great atmosphere with live music! The beach is clean with plenty of picnic tables and grills. Watching the sunset from this vantage point is beautiful as well. Just be sure to have a drink while doing so!

Went to a wedding reception. It was a nice venue. More importantly it was a wonderful wedding. It did rain and the club was able to accommodate with tents so no one had to get wet.

Best view and intimate, comfortable setting on Geneva Lake. Creative menu, delicious meal, and friendly staff. The best!
