Scenic Ridge Campground

This local location is a hidden gem. The beach and floating water park are the most safe and fun spots in the area. It’s attached to the park’s private beach meaning you get wrist band for the entire area.. There’s a general store and grocery it’s convenient but check hours for schedule. It’s not completely finished in cabin area but it’s still amazing and cost is very reasonable. As for taking your own RV it’s beautiful and has spots for whatever you are bringing it has a place you’re going to love.

We enjoyed a wonderful multi-generational stay utilizing both rv sites and a cabin. The inflatables were a blast for young and old. The walk to the overlook was filled with lovely flora and challenging enough terrain to make you feel like you earned that second s'more around the campfire. We found the bathrooms and shower house to be quite nice. While golfcarts add some noise, people seemed to be respectful as much as possible. After walking the very steep hills a couple times, a golf cart was a welcome luxury. The camp store was pretty well stocked. I guess the only "downside" is the store's limited hours, but you work around it. I definitely recommend an ice cream sundae! Security was present, but not overbearing. Thank you for providing a lovely place for our family to gather and make memories. ❤

Came for the weekend and had a blast. Bring the camper, RV, or tent. Power and water on site and gravel strip for the campers. Reasonable pricing for food and merch. Paying to use the amenities like swimming at the beach was a little off putting when you see people who live in the homes along the along the water, walk up and just go swimming and go home when they are done.

Wonderful times for the family! Activities for kids and adults. A beautiful lake, golf carts, kids zone, clean campsites and friendly faces. This place has it all. Highly recommend!

We spent a week here to visit family. We traveled all the way from upstate NY and loved every moment at this campsite. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, and the dogs even had a swim area. I highly recommend

We checked in Friday afternoon, set up camp and went to the beach. Round about 6pm came the rain. Severe thunderstorms with hail and damaging winds. We rode our 2 major storms and left before the third. Highly recommend this place we will be back on a better weekend soon.

I liked the campground. The owner is really nice and we’ll watched over. The spaces are pretty generous and the campground is fun! The downsides are the bathrooms and the constant golf carts but once you get there you understand there needed for the mountain your on. The place was magical with all the lights campers had on at their sites. The people are nice and the place grows on you.

Nice campground. The beach is nice with a lot of inflatables. The owners are nice. The only cons I saw were the dump station kind of backed up. I was told there was another one by the bathhouse to back into if I could get around the traffic jam. Also a golf cart rental was nice on the weekends because parking can be difficult by the beach and the campground is very spread out.

Our family had so much fun. The staff was so friendly. The little gift shop and store near the lakefront was perfect. Pricing was very reasonable and the service was quick.

The lakefront beach was nice. The inflatable amusement toys in the lake were amazing. The whole family was able to enjoy it.

We rented a cabin and it was nice. They aren’t very big but with all the other activities available you shouldn’t be in the cabin much.

Been going there for a few years in later August. Always a great place, friendly campers, pleasant great friendly owners and all facilities/store/restaurant always great. Thank you for having a wonderful place to visit from our travels from Florida to our old Wisconsin home to visit family/friends..

Great campground. We stayed in the pull through sites and they were very roomy and nice to be able to set up for a group and have community space. Plenty of space to park the boat and trailer. The launch isn't ideal since its right on the road but everyone seemed to make it work. Be ready for some crazy hills to get into the campground :) Great experience, we will be back.

This is a geat location that is not far from Chicago. There is a plethora of things to do: swimming, hiking, camping, playgrounds, water sports, etc.

This place reminds me of how my childhood was. Neighbors talking to and visiting with one another. Kids running around playing. Even the old trick of kids looking for bikes to see if one another are at their site or at the park. No one is just sitting their with their faces in their phones. Our neighbor across the road brought us cookies cuz I gave them a fire starter to help with their fire. Our neighbor to the right invited us out on their boat and came over with fireball just to chit chat. Neighbor to the right sprayed the whole area with some liquid to help with bug control.

In the lake, we float around on tubes and just chat with those around. Or you can play on the several inflatables. There are many activities planned for both children and adults. Pricing is extremely reasonable and everything is very clean.

Yep, leaving this campground is never easy. Never have I experienced a camp ground like this one. We will be coming back as much as possible. Other camp grounds I've been to you just camp with who you are with. Neighbors don't talk to one another to visit one another. Its very much "this is my spot stay outta it." type deal. Not at Scenic Ridge. If you want the best camping place to go, go to Scenic Ridge. I can't say enough good about it

Great place to stay! We come every year and they are very accommodating! Fun activities and nice people.

Love the owners. My wife and I go there for breakfast. It is amazing. Stop by this 4th of July weekend with the grandkids and even though they were sold out of passes to the water toy area they still allowed them to play. Great food and you can even get essentials from the store.

I loved it SUCH A PEACEFUL-PLACE ! Everyone is friendly, good service Clean showers! I have never sleep so good.

This place always has something going on! If you're bored, it's your own fault! The staff is amazing and so helpful and friendly. The sites are clean and large. Plenty of shade. Very dog friendly. Bath houses are clean, and the port-o-pottys were the cleanest I've ever experienced. I have a fear or them, but these ones, dare I say, smelled good? Weird, I know. The beach is so fun! I felt like a kid again! I highly recommend this campground to everyone!

Nice campground with a nice playground and small beach. The inflatables on the water were quite hard to access for our 4, 6, and 7 year olds so we barely made use of them, but of course they loved the bounce pillow. Overall nice place with decent facilities.

My husband and I stayed at Scenic Ridge for the first time many years ago. My husband worked second shift, so he came up and set up our camper. I came up after work to find the bathroom floor soaked. A neighbor said call the front office, they can help (hubby was at work until 11 p.m.). Tom and Rich were there in seconds flat on their golf carts. They were able to temporarily fix the broken valve on the toilet until we could get another the next day. We were so impressed with their friendliness and how much they cared. We now have a permanent site at Scenic Ridge. We love all of the staff and our site! #Happy Campers
