Glenn's Cafe

I like Glenn's Cafe style and service. The food was nice too. We had a main dish and a starter -shrimps&grits and fried pickles+fries- they also offer a service where you write a postcard and they ship it for you at the end :)

It has been a very long time (almost 30 years) and was there for a reunion with some friends. The food was terrific! I highly recommend the buttermilk chicken and the deviled eggs. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. They accommodated our party of 7 with no problems. Highly recommended when you're craving some bayou inspired food.

We had heard great things about this place, so we decided to head here on our way out of town. The atmosphere is really great, and it was not very busy, so it was nice and quiet. Our server, Jack, did a wonderful job telling us about the different entrees, and his suggestions were spot on. He was very attentive in refilling our drinks, and making sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We got the Avocado Chicken BLT with sweet potato fries and the French Onion Soup. Everything was delicious! Thank you Glenn's for the wonderful dining experience, and do whatever you have to do to keep Jack! He was incredible!

We have never been here and I can't say enough about how fantastic this place was. It was delicious Creole food, the server was amazing, bathrooms were clean. We got the jambalaya and the blackened red fish. Cheesy grits were perfectly cooked and the haricot verts were delicious.

I’ve been here 47 years and I’ve heard about Glenn’s for years but tonight was my first visit. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for a date with my lady. It is unique and classy at the same time. We showed up and they offered a free glass of champagne and I drank some of it and our waiter topped me off again. The Jambalaya was very good with tons of flavor but nothing overpowering. My SO had a Dirty Chai Martini and I had a Delerium Belgium Ale (which was amazing). We really came for the dessert since Reddit raved about the bread pudding. So we got the crème brûlée, the beignets and the bread pudding. My favorite was the bread pudding, followed by the crème brûlée then the beignets. The beignets had a chocolate sauce that had a coffee flavor that just tased burnt. The crème brûlée was not traditional enough to have the name crème brûlée. But the bread pudding was pretty good but not amazing.

Wow! So my friend and I visited a couple months ago and the pear basil martini was delectable but they were out of biscuits. I had the feeling they were making some adjustments to the menu and we came during a transitional period. So we returned this morning after I looked at their menu online. We got the same seat we had before: a cute sunny little two top by the window so that we can look at the pretty flowers and watch the coeds and young professionals glide by. She got the chicken and biscuits and pear basil martini (again) because it was delicious last time even without the biscuit. I don’t remember what I ordered last time, but I will never forget what I got this morning! The Bloody Mary meal. This was a monster morning smorgasbord of olives, shrimp, bacon, fried chicken, and a delicate meaty crab cake with TWO perfectly seasoned Bloody Maries. Oh and a croissant. They taste lovely and the butter is savory and perfect. My only issue with the croissant is that it felt like it had been steamed or frozen then reheated in the microwave because the bottom was soggy.

Spent two days in Columbia and this is a necessary stop while in town. Great menu with some nice spicy dishes. Very good southern fare. Gotta try the smoked salmon dip.

Everyone from the hostest to the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I don't normally like salmon, but the smoked salmon spread was fantastic. We also enjoyed the Nouvelle Cakes. It was the perfect pre-theater stop.

Great Southern/Cajun inspired diner. Delicious food and helpful, knowledge staff. Menu explicitly notes vegetarian and gluten free options. Kitchen able and willing to adapt more dishes for allergies.

We went for a lunch and the food was great! Have lots of options to select and good portion is offered.

When it comes to brunch in Columbia, Glenn’s cafe is leading the pack. From the moment you walk in, you are created by friendly, knowledgeable staff that take pride in their work and providing you with an enjoyable experience. The food is phenomenal! Further, it is equally matched by creative, and Instagram-worthy plating. Chef Sam has truly outdone himself and clearly takes great pride in his craft. The last two Sunday’s I’ve come to brunch here, and look forward to making this a staple in my Sunday routine. If you’re looking for an exceptional brunch experience, look no further. Glenn’s Cafe is the truth.

Superb place to have brunch in COMO! Great brunch choices, phenomenal drinks and superb service in a sharp, upscale setting. Curt took great care of us! I want to come back for oysters and wine. Highly recommended.

The cornbread is everything it should be, the crab cakes were amazing. The complimentary champagne, yes please. The ambiance, staff, drinks and food were all amazing. I will be back!

This was an amazing experience, food was amazing, I got the bourbon street meatloaf and honestly for 18 dollars I was not sure what to expect! They brought me out what was a whole meatloaf in my opinion it was well seasoned and delicious, the mashed potatoes were a good balance for the meatloaf itself, very good service, friend got the shrimp and grits, got a bite of that and it was amazing!

Went here for a Sunday brunch and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was elegant and quiet the food was hot and tasted so good. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. All around one of the best in Columbia!

Had a wonderful lunch here on a whim. The food was delicious and satisfying. That cornbread is incredible! Also, the service was the best I have had in a restaurant in Columbia. Callie knows what she’s doing and was incredibly fast and accommodating, as well as very personable. Ask for her! I’ll be coming back soon!

Was pleasantly surprised. Very good chicken. The food seems simple but it has a depth that most places lack. Felt like authentic southern in a nice setting. Will come back

Delicious breakfast and lunch options.

Had lunch here to celebrate graduating. Had a very fun menu. We had oysters on the half shell - fat and fresh and delectable. Tried the Farm Burger, 8th street burger, Cherry Street Chicken Sandwich, shrimp po boy sliders and all were excellent. We also had the Bloody Mary Meal (pic) which was very exciting! The best thing we had was popcorn crawfish. On the downside it was packed and service was slow. This place had been highly recommended to me for years and I finally made it in. Would highly recommend it to others!
