Perfect Scents

This is the sweetest little shop, tucked away right down the street from Andre's chocolate shop, it's treats are the kind you surround yourself with as luxuriant scents! Soaps, body, lotions, bath bombs, perfumes, and even custom-made perfumes. I'm always surprised at the unexpected things I find there. I go in looking for gifts, but never can resist getting something for myself.
As big a draw for me, it's the last best place in town to find a terrific choice of greeting cards! For every occasion, for all ages and events, funny, poignant, touching and poetic. Again, I go in looking for a card and end up picking out for or five!
And the lovely owner is gracious and welcoming. Really a fun place to stop in.

First off for the men, THEY HAVE BOND NO.9!! And the fragrances i got, THEY ARE VERY POTENT AND LONG LASTING! 8Hrs in, its still very strong! The two ladies were so professional, helpful, and even gave samples of an item to me. This store will personally be the only place I shop to grab my personal fragrances and etc.

There store has so many choices that it took a while to fully decide! This store BLEW MY MIND!! They have very cheap $20-30 prices with the fragrance house options being $200+, even can mix fragrances and made a custom fragrance with shampoo, lotion, hair spray etc. HANDS DOWN BEST STORE! I've rarely had my mind blown with stores but this one did. Wonderful store!

I will have it to give 10/10 rating. The ladies are very friendly. They took the listen to customer and answer the questions. The perfumes are all pure natural oils..no alcohol in them. I purchased the white tea and definitely recommend it. I will not go back buying bottles of perfumes again.

Great shop. It was so nice to visit. The best part was blending my own essential oils.

Best selection of cards (not the drug store/grocery or Hallmark type of cards). Also lots of personal fragrances,soaps and oils. Hidden gem near the Plaza.

Lovely store with an incredible inventory! Pretty much any type of scented product you could want: oils for all types of use, bath products, cleaners, and laundry items, plus other gift items like cards and jewelry. That have some fun face mask options, too. (I hope that portion of my review becomes obsolete sooner rather than later.) It was my first visit and the staff was friendly and helpful but not in my face about stuff. Of course it smells amazing in here, and my only problem was exercising self control as I decided on a purchase. Ended up with one of their designer scented oils and they gave me a few samples of other products. Love it!

Note that it's a small, tightly packed space, so small children are probably not a good idea. Browse around and treat yo self.

This place holds much more than meets the eye from the street view. It’s scents - but way more. They have a massive selection of soaps, lotions, greeting cards as well, and personal care items such as jewelry, soap dishes, and masks. It seems endless. This is the perfect place to pick up a thoughtful gift for someone who is discriminating about their scents and smells. Also be ready for plenty of unique finds. The staff is outstanding. They are always very friendly and helpful but not overbearing. If you’ve not been, I highly recommend. If you have, perhaps it times for a visit. I’m constantly delighted when I browse.

Perfect Scents was a pleasant discovery, stopped in several times the last couple months, and really enjoyed it! They have designer perfumes, oils, a wide variety, that they will gladly add to any product you'd like. Some very unique items, gifts, birthday cards that you won't find at the grocery store, cards for any occassion! The store is located, just south of the Plaza, on Main Street, adjacent to the Peanut (bar & grill), right across from CVS! Stop in, it's a fun place to peruse; recommend their Magna Men's Body Wash, made in Spain, their shampoos and body washes are perfect for adding scents, oils, etc.; I recently had them add a Vanilla Tobacco Oil to an unscented shampoo they carry, and I love it! Looking forward to buying some 67 Cologne there, awesome scent for men! Enjoy!

Nancy has had Perfect Scents in three locations since the 1980's and I have been purchasing her custom blends, oils and products for almost 30 years. She has consistent quality and is always knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest scent trends! She just started an Instagram account too!

If you don't see what you need on her website, call her. She is in the shop everyday! If she can get it, she will order it for you. If she can't get it, she will blend it. This is a small business. When you buy from a small business, you support a family. Shop local!

Perfect Scents has been an important place for us for a very long time. My son & I favor the Magno...my wife & daughter have a list of their own favorites.

Perfect Scents has been my go to locally owned one of a kind shop for 30 years. One can always find special gifts, personal cleansing products, custom scented lotions and bath products, lovely screen painted kitchen towels, sassy and sweet greeting cards, Thymes candles, handmade totally stunning one of a kind earrings made by a ballerina, affordable luxury items for home and personal use that you never see anywhere else.

A great local shoppe (yes, I'm purposely using ye olde spelling). I've finally found "my" scent; got to make my own and they even save the recipe so I can come back again and again. Plus they put your name on the bottle to make you feel really special....and it works lol. They have a ton of other unique and fun items. Think it's such a great find, and the customer service is always warm, friendly. I'm glad to have stumbled upon this place a couple years ago.

Best store in KC for gifts, scents and lotions. Been stopping here every time I am back in town for 20 years. Great staff. Always thrilled with products.

Wow what a great place! They have about 200 different scents that can be put into 20 (or so) different lotions, potions, and oils. She will let you try a scent, & if you like it, she can put it in a lotion, massage lotion or roller ball. BUT, you have to shop their greeting cards. Every time I go there looking for some kind of off-the- wall occassion card, she has it in spades. NO HALLMARK here!! And in the back she has commercial lotions like Caswell Massey. And facial creams! My, she has some wonderful gifts!! Hand made jewelry, tee towels and some very funny gifts!

I was trying to find a place that was similar to Columbia, MO's "Make Scents" shop, and arrived here.
They had a great variety of scents to choose from and were so patient with me as I chose my fragrance oil ratios to make my own perfume. I will be visiting this place again.

Expertly matched the scent of a favorite conditioner into an oil that I can layer. I'm elated! Thank you!! I'm a customer for life.
