Happy Acres is definitely our happy place! We have a seasonal/permanent site and we go up just about every other weekend, and more often if we can.

We started camping here once a year around 2019. In 2023 we signed the contract for our site and haven't looked back!

The manager couldn't be more accommodating and friendly! The campground is very clean, grass is mowed, and the bathrooms are very clean (despite some other comments I read). Our son and family stayed in a cabin this weekend and it was perfect! A/C was on and it was comfortably cool inside when they arrived. The cabin was very clean (our DIL also remarked how clean it was). They did say the mattress was hard, but you could stay in a 5 star hotel and the bed won't feel like your bed at home. Since the interior is wood, there is a faint wood smell but it's definitely not musty as Amy mentioned.

Cable can be spotty and if you want reliable internet you should bring a hotspot or sit at the Wi-Fi spot near the office, but it's camping folks! Get outside. Enjoy the basketball court or play Frisbee golf, walk your dogs, get some ice cream at the store, or just enjoy a campfire. There's so much to do in the area...hike the many trails, walk or bike the Pine Creek Rail Trail, paddle or kayak the Little Pine Creek, and just enjoy the "True Mountain Experience"!

What a great place! Our cabin was clean. The check in and out process was easy. They have a wonderful tavern / restaurant as well. The food was excellent. The nearby park and creek were just beautiful. Lived the PA grand canyon, about 30 min away, too. We will be back!

We've stayed many times here and it has become our go-to campground. Love the cabins and the people are always sweet and accommodating. Having busy lives, it's nice to have a place to go to relax and reset in the beautiful mountains. Hoping to book another trip soon!!🤗

So much fun! A few recent low reviews I think lose the concept of being in the middle of nowhere in Lycoming county. If you expect the Ritz version of a small cabin you're doing it wrong.

The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do around the area. My 41' fifth wheel pulled in fine. Full 50amp hookup. The waste pipe wasn't threaded at my site but I've got adapters. They even let me borrow boards to level (don't ever skip the check list!!) side to side.

My mom's cabin had an issue that were fixed almost immediately. I only saw the inside of two cabins but they were all places I'd stay.

I'll go back for sure. Even if just for the carpet ball.

We loved our little cabin, air-conditioning was on when we got there, it was clean and easy access. We stayed in the fawn cabin, the only drawback was that the fire pit was uphill from the cabin next to it and the folks in that cabin were in a fishbowl. They hung sheets over the windows.. It was quiet and the deer came right up to us while we were sitting at the fire.

Happy Acres Campground is Amazing..
I was very impressed on how well maintained this campground is. Very Clean the cabins are beautiful. Very family oriented. The Manager is amazing she tries her best to accommodate your every need. The owners are amazing as well and very caring. The bathrooms are spotless the campground is spotless as well as they work very hard to keep everyone happy. The views are absolutely beautiful. There is so much to do. I have never seen a campground that cares so much as everyone at Happy Acres. When I go I never want to leave. Everyone is so nice and very friendly. I found my happy place. They even drive around to make sure everyone is good and always have smiles on there faces as they wave. They deserve more then 5 stars.

Stayed in a cabin at the beginning of the month - had an awesome experience! Cabin was super clean, had everything in the kitchen I needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campground was nice to walk around. Right in the middle of the mountains!

Two couples for 4 nights at Hill Top cabin in mid-October 2021. We really enjoyed our accommodations and stay. Beautiful place, good food at the restaurant, delicious ice cream (within walking distance is a plus), nice people and all was as promised. If you're light sensitive at night don't take the master bedroom (queen-size bed) because street light outside the bedroom light shines through the white blind. We left a suggestion they consider a black-out blind for just that room. We hope to go back with others, maybe to see the wild flowers blooming next spring!

Stayed here 3 times in the past year and a half , also go to an island we own down the road. We stay here in the winter and have not had any issues, not to mention everyone is extremely helpful and they are friendly. It's a beautiful location and the cabins have always been clean and well stocked. The restaurant had great food for the one time we stopped by. The burger was nice and juicy while nachos for an appetizer were delicious as well. I like how the river runs down the side of the lot.

We didn't end up staying due to our carrier lacking service in the area. However the staff was super helpful with attempting to suit our needs and the entire campground looked like a wonderful, clean place to stay. We toured one cabin while there and were very impressed with what they had to offer. We hope to one day return without the business needs and make some awesome memories here with our family. Thanks for the warm welcome, see ya'll again sometime soon!

My family recently rented the happy acres lodge at this resort. I just wanted to share that we had an excellent time! Also I was nervous after reading other reviews that there would be No cell connection (due to no service) and predownloaded a ton of movies on our devices for the kids only to find out our lodge did have WIFI! what an awesome surprise!! With wifi calling capabilities on our cell phones we didn't have to disconnect! This lodge had 4 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs with a game loft and 2 bathrooms. We will definitely be back in season when the pool is open (Happy acres lodge itself is right next to the pool) also right down the hill (not even half mile-easy walk from this cabin) is a bar/restaurant and game room for kids and the playground/basketball hoop is a small walk up the hill from this house (again not even a half mile) . Everyone was so kind to waving and smiling!! not to mention there is a state park/game lands with ample fishing less than a mile from the grounds (which is what brought us to the area to begin with) lots of access to great stocked water.

We decided to leave from Florida at Christmas for a "wherever our motor home took us" vacation. We ended up at happy acres in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania. Never been out of Florida in our coach at winter time so had no idea what we were doing or what to expect. We arrived at the camp ground around 3am on the 27th and it was a ghost town!! We were literally the only people there, and it was COLD.
I got us set up, and the next morning we woke to a foot and a half of snow! Apparently we were in the middle of an nor’eastern snow fall, and it was AWESOME!!! The staff greeted us that morning and had a good laugh at us for being there in the dead of winter, but were very good to us! Whatever we wanted or needed they hooked us up, and our dogs had the best time ever in that snow.
We stayed a week there and was absolutely the best vacation we’ve ever been on, and we’ve been almost everywhere. So to the ones who give this place a 1, 2, or 3 star rating, you're not there for the food or the best cabin, you're there to enjoy the outdoors. I’m telling you this place is a hidden gem in the mountains of Pennsylvania! Thank you guys so much for being so good to a couple of lost Floridians!! -Richard

The cabins are absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the Eagles nest and it's lots of fun playing pool in the basement. There's plenty of room for people and we can easily sleep 14 people. Tvs are all over where you think they should be and there's even a Jacuzzi tub. Would absolutely come again.

Wonderful family environment! Lots of nature and I mean lots! We saw all sorts of wildlife, including a bear! The pool is well kept and is nice and private. The cabins are fully equipped and everything is just awesome! If you're looking for a rustic place to enjoy the woods with some home comforts we highly recommend this place!

My family has started a new annual tradition.
We love the location of the resort. All cabins and buildings are impeccably maintained and cleaned! I appreciate being able to bring my fluffy boy! Can't wait for our 4th trip next summer :D

The resort was beautiful, and check in/out was a breeze. We stayed in the bear crossing cabin. It was the perfect week, we had everything we needed, and everyone was super friendly. I was sad to leave this morning, so we will definitely be back!

Wonderful campground with campsites and cabin rentals all year long. Outdoor Pool, lodge, outdoor fire pits, gas grills and some cabins with jacuzzis. Cabins are clean and heated. Plenty of hiking and outdoor recreation near by. So peaceful, I love unplugging for a weekend here whenever we can!
