I stopped in yesterday and had deep-fried cheese curds with marinara sauce. They were delicious and the sauce was very good--tasted homemade. I thought they were a bit pricey at $10 until I saw how many I got. There were a lot--easily enough for two people to share. The draft beer was ice cold too. I highly recommend this place!

A home away from home. A place where strangers become from friends with in minutes. From Dori the waitress, Crystal supplying weekend line dance and karaoke entertainment, and Travis and Sarah serving up great drinks, and don't forget Travis's wife cooking up some of the best salmon ever, you'll have a great time at Happy Acres. A place that really lives up to its name. My husband and I had a terrific weekend and made lots of new friends. Hope to be back soon.

We stopped in early yesterday evening. The three of us had a great time unwinding after a day fishing the lake. Brooke was behind the bar and very hospitable. We got a Burger, Cheesesteak, and the Alfredo. All were perfect. Thanks for a great time!

Owner made sure PSU game was on their cable and viewed it with great beverage service. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced

Stopped here while out fishing Pine Creek with one of my best friends and his nephew. Fine place to take a family. Clean, and all three of our meals were super. Staff very friendly. Even turned the PSU vs Michigan football game on for us. Will go back for sure. Nice place. I got the cheese steaks, it was great.

Lovely folk all around! Very short staffed because of shortage of workers, but overall did an excellent job of keeping us happy and full. Plus they have a pool table and bar!

Great all around. Can't wait to eat there again. Food, atmosphere and service were great. We had no idea there was food this good so close to our camp.

We had a big group and they were so accommodating. Very kind staff. Potent mixed drinks and solid food selection.

If I weren't with my family, I would have gone back just to sit at the bar a bit! We were camping right up the hill so it was a pleasant walk to boot!

My father and I ate there last night and had a great meal. Service was a bit slow due to staffing issues but it seems everybody is having staffing issues with students returning to the classroom and all, completely understandable. Drinks were cold and tasty. Place was clean and orderly. Plenty of spacing between tables. Quiet and cozy. Wait staff was busy but attentive to our needs. Wait staff was very friendly and professional, I even seen the chef/cook helping out to deliver meals in a timely manner. Long story short, I'll be back again, thank you.

Stopped in for dinner, it was a busy Saturday night! Our waitress was amazing, she dealt with our sarcasm and played right along-at that moment, we knew we were in good hands! 3 couples and 1 teenager, none of us went thirsty. The drinks stayed filled and the view was fabulous. Our waitress admitted she was newer there and she didn't miss a beat. All I can say is, we will be back... it's cozy and the food is phenomenal.

Food was amazing! Fourth of July weekend with a party of 7 people, a mix of beer drinks and sodas, appetizers and meals, the view from the table sat on the outside window area was absolutely amazing, the waitress was definitely a little bit flustered at first but very quickly got along with all of us. The food was all excellen, cold drinks were kept filled and she checked on us often. All told is was a pretty decent price for good food with live music. We will definitely recommend this place and come back each time we visit our friends new cabin up the road, and hopefully she can recommend to each of the guests that stay there as we tested how they would hand a big party that will eat heavy. In the end for 7 people with appetizers, beers, sodas and entrees it was $171+a 40% tip for our waitress which was well earned.

Happy Acres Restaurant Never disappoints. Stopped in around 8:30pm this past weekend since luckily another local establishment was closing their kitchen at 8:00pm(on a Saturday!) when we stopped by ready to eat after running the entire 42++ mile Black Forest Trail that day.
We were actually happy about our fate since Happy Acres Restaurant has always been a favorite of mine(and many) from Day One when visiting the Pine Creek Valley.
As usual our server(Jen) was polite, personable and attentive for being so close to the 9:00 “kitchen closed” time.
I had my usual Bison burger, medium rare and sweet potato wedges, and a side salad. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium rare standards and the sweet potato wedges were cut even thicker than I recalled. If you’ve never had them, please do. They are tops, by far, on my list.
There was live music that night so the area near the bar was full. We decided to sit in the party room. This worked out fine since conversation would have bee a little strained due to the band playing.
I like to recommend places that serve food that is quality done and where you are treated with a smiling, friendly server. This is why I return often even when it’s a few extra miles. It’s just worth it Every time.

Great restaurant in a remote location, situated in a beautiful setting... Close in proximity to kayaking, hiking, biking, and various other outdoor activities. This place has really good food and a great beer selection, especially considering its location. It is worth the trip simply too frequently place and enjoy the outdoors for a day

Happy Acres has been an icon in the Pine Creek valley longer than I can remember. Located just on the edge of the Pine Creek State Park campground, this local eatery is the place you want to visit for delicious food, great entertainment on the weekends, and a place to share memories with friends and family. The prime rib dinner served on Friday and Saturday is one of their signature dishes and it's perfectly cooked, sized, and seasoned. The staff is amazing and they will always take care of you to ensure your experience is satisfying. When in the Pine Creek valley for a fishing weekend or just passing through, make it a point to visit Happy Acres and enjoy being surrounded by history and great people.
