Old time pub with GREAT food. Plates are way too much to eat. This is okay, you get 2 for 1 meals! They also have prepared and frozen pierogis that withstood my flight. Diners and dives picked this for a reason! I go everytime I am in Pittsburgh

Just YES. Mouthwatering pierogies as big as your fist smothered in sautéed butter and onions. Worth the trip from any area of town.
Fish sandwich was great as well, served on Mancini's roll.

Best pierogies in town. Try the polish or pierogi platter. Classic potato/cheddar is the best. The owner/chef Ron came out a couple of times to check on us. Live music in the bar at night. Good prices & huge portions.

It's a little old aging hole in the wall so naturally they have the best traditional cuisine in Pittsburgh - pierogis with kielbasa & sauerkraut and a Pittsburgh salad :9 The food is amazing and big portions too! Definitely eat here if you're going through Pittsburgh

Great food with a great price! Is the ultimate good ol steel Town bar/lounge with excellent service. A place where if you go away hungry, you've got a problem!!

I was drunk like 10 years ago at a show at Moondogs and had to eat so hopped over here. This place got me into wings... You know, the whole wing. I want to go to another Moondogs show and come here to revisit that experience

Had family in town and been meaning to try this place myself and it did not disappoint! Had the Polish platter, fish sandwich and took some of their massive perogies home cause it was Soo delicious!! Must visit place here in Pittsburgh!!

Sunday old time jam and Tuesday bluegrass jams are the best. And also the best pierogies anywhere.

Don’t let the inside fool you, this is the real deal. I entered not knowing about its reputation. The soup was phenomenal. The polish platter was perfect. Service was great.

Soon as we walked it the place smelled like a memory from both mine and my friends childhoods that instantly made us relax in our seats at this little place, we got ourselves some tea and that in itself was deliciously home brewed. While we waited for our food we watched as the members of tonight's blue grass live jam came in and listened to them play as we ate, which again brought waves of nostalgia and comfort as I myself am from west Virginia. The food was amazing and I am still thinking about it 2 weeks later! Some of if not the best sourkout i have had since my mom used to make it down home in the crock pot. With portion sizes and a price you can't beat, I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great place to eat and hang out. The food is great, they hand peel big ole potatoes for fries. Gotta have an Iron City at the bar!!!!

Pittsburgh tradition. Food was delicious as always. Service was fine. My vodka and soda not so much, and was not offered another or a change of beverage, but I was there for the pirogies, which were delicious. Always a must when I am in town.

For my money, best place to eat in pixburg. No better pierogis anywhere in town

This place is a hidden gem. Hidden because I never knew about it until recently, although it's been around for a LONG time. Amazing pierogies!!!! We also had the fish and reuben and they were to die for.

If you haven't been to this place you need to go there. The portion sizes are enough to feed two people and it is delicious. They are not kidding about the pierogies being the greatest in the world. My friend and I preferred the spinach and feta one to the cheese and jalapeno. The fish tastes fresh. We both got a version of fried fish that was crispy and delicious. Also side note the coleslaw is very good and so was a French fries. I also had the French onion soup which was good. The way staff was amazing and checked on you regularly. There is a little bit of a wait time between placing your order and getting your food, but they have machines and TVs to interact with until your feet arrives. It is worth the wait though.

This bar/restaurant has delicious food! The fish sandwich is huge and their homemade pierogies are to die for. Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive Ins and Dives even visited here to check them out. My boyfriend and I come here every Friday because in addition to the food, they have a band play every Friday. And because many of the same people come to hear the band every Friday, you get to know everyone. It has a sort of Cheers atmosphere. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, stop by for a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed!
