The interior of this historic building is so beautiful; the bar alone is just stunning. There’s a really great backstory to this restaurant that everyone should take the time to read about! Never had a poor experience here and your martinis never get warm. Pretty great happy hour as well with some small plate offerings. I love the huge shrimp you get with the shrimp cocktail app.

We love 740. Not a higher rating could be given. It is a high end staple in our lives at what I think is a reasonable price. It sits as the premier restaurant in Louisville. Excellent staff and owners are the very best people— truly the classiest, most professional and friendly business owners I’ve met. Food is awesome, drinks made well, service impeccable. It’s an unrivaled atmosphere in a setting reflective of all the towns charm and personality. Even happy hour is a great time. Whether you’re here visiting, looking for a new place to dine or if you’ve been away a while— 740 is where it’s at.

Updated review! It has been almost 2 years since we have been to 740 Front and once again they did not disappoint. Tyler, our sever was very friendly and checked on us at all the correct times. He was awesome! Also the cocktails were perfect, I'm fairly sure he may have made them as well as waiting on other tables. The food was spot on, again best steaks we have ever had. We will be coming back when we have the chance! Wish you guys were open on mondays 😊 Thanks for a great experience all around. It was also my birthday and they gave me a free dessert to go.

I had the Bison Ribeye (Medium) with Yukon Potatoes and Spinach. For dessert, I had a slice of apple pie with ice cream. The food was absolutely delicious.

Tom made our first experience of 740 Front, perfect! My wife took me here for my 34th Birthday & we will most definitely be back. My filet was perfectly cooked & the wine pairing suggested by Tom was on point. My wife said her meatloaf melted in her mouth. 10 out of 10 worth it!

My wife and I came here for our third anniversary. The food was great, the service was prompt and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very cool. Our waiter Tom was professional and knowledgeable and had a very cool mustache. The cocktails looked delicious though we didn’t get one this time. For how solid everything was, I was surprised our bill was only as much as it was- very reasonable prices. I’m looking forward to coming back!

What an amazing place, tried almost all the HH menu and was amazing, chicken wings are to die for.

We went to celebrate our friends birthdays - both of them in a couple with birthdays two days apart - weird 🤷🏻‍♂
We had heard good things about this place so were excited to try.
I was very excited to see a cocktail with my favorite local beer, crystal springs blood orange - they added vodka and Orange liqueur but it just tasted watered down to me unfortunately and was a bit disappointing - my second drink was a Manhattan and that was solid.
The oysters were excellent as was the artichoke appetizer.

All the food was very good but a step down from what I was used to in New York City - but it never feels fair to compare to nyc. My biggest criticism is there is a lack of flavor “popping” with a lot of food in Colorado in general. But I will say 740 front was a very nice dining experience and the food was as good as we have had out here so we will definitely be back for some more.

Wow. Seriously, wow. Incredible history, beautiful embrace of that history while still presenting a level of class to enhance your date night.

But that's not all. The food was insane. The seafood Cannelloni was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life and I mean that sincerely. The flavor was explosive, the late kick of spice was a welcome surprise that enhanced the experience toward greatness. And the amount of actual seafood you get in the dish is impressive.

The Mac and cheese was amazing and flavorful. The clam chowder, while a little low on the clam, was delicious. The creme brulee was a perfect footnote to an incredible meal.

Damn, I can't find enough adjectives to explain how good this was. The drinks, amazing.

Just go here and try it out. There's a reason this place has been serving people, from bankers, to wild west criminals, to marketing managers, to coal miners for well over 100 years. I'm blown away. I was not paid to write this (I paid my bill instead) but I felt compelled to write this. My new favorite place in all of the wider Denver metro area.

Dined on their lovely patio last night! Clean and beautiful with attention to detail. The service is friendly and attentive. We ordered their steak burgers with fries - it was AWESOME. So delicious, as were their margaritas. Will definitely continue to return for a wonderful dining experience or even takeout. Thank you 740 Front team!

I got a bison steak and it was delicious and lean. The server made me custom cocktails that were delicious. Absolutely loved it. Plus it has the oldest bar in Colorado inside

Do not miss this restaurant! We ate here on a busy Saturday night during the summer. There was no wait for the table (granted we did call ahead), and the hospitality was great. We had a high top table inside. The employees all wore masks, and local regulations make them optional for vaccinated patrons.
To begin, we had the 740 Hot Cheese Dip with Spinach and House Salad to begin. The lettuce was nice and crisp, and the dressing was fresh and zesty. The dip was absolutely amazing!
For our main course, we had the 8oz filet, Rib Eye Steak 12oz, and the 10oz bison filet. They were all cooked true to temperature, and each bite was better than the last. On the side, we had asparagus, mashed potatoes, and French fries. I implore you to get the asparagus! Each stalk is tender and flavorful- likely due to Chef Paul’s signature technique of steaming it and finishing it on the grill.
We finished off our delicious meal with the blueberry pie(a la mode, of course!) and Chocolate Panna Cotta. The pie was a generous slice with a flaky, buttery crust. The Panna Cotta is rich and is complemented by a raspberry coulis.
If you have the chance, don’t miss this Louisville gem! It was well worth the uber ride from downtown Boulder.

Went for oysters at Happy Hour and wasn't disappointed. The baked ones were delicious with the crispy spinach edges, along with the raw East Coast oysters. Bartenders were on spot with service and recommended appetizers. Good spot to come before the free concerts next door.

My boyfriend and I just moved to Louisville and we are exploring all the local restaurants. It was his birthday so I booked 740 to celebrate. I asked for a cozy booth and told them it was his birthday in the notes and they delivered! We got our booth and right when we walked in and they got my name they immediately wished him a happy birthday. The service was awesome from the moment we walked in.

The food was also INCREDIBLE! I got the braised short ribs. They gave me a knife for my meal- didn’t need it, these just melted in your mouth. I’d order again and again. He got the strip which was also great. The treated us to a panna cotta on the house with a candle for his birthday. 10/10 would recommend and I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!! Thanks 740 for making our celebration so special.

The space was beautiful, with a nice outdoor area. The prices were super reasonable, $7.50 for a Bloody Mary, a huge chunk of perfectly cooked steak with 2 eggs&2 sides only $15. Definitely going back!

My husband and I had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary here! They have a fantastic selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The cheese/spinach dip was delicious and both of our steak dishes cooked to perfection. Service was attentive, polite, and thoughtful. We enjoyed the beautiful building and lovely atmosphere, too.

Outstanding service, he knew everything about the dishes and all the drinks. I got salmon which was cooked perfectly, buttery and delicious. He got the Buffalo steak, spinach and mashed potatoes, absolutely to die for. Perfect birthday dinner

Enjoyed every aspect of this place! Delicious good, friendly, fun and attentive staff and an ambiance trust was just right for our night out. We've been here several times and had a great time each time we did; I wholeheartedly recommend 740 Front Street!
