Kentwood Park

Best par 3 disc golf course in NC! Since it’s right in the middle of a huge neighborhood, I’m the heart of NC States camps and Athens High School, it’s always busy, but always a good time! Kentwood has been around for decades and is a local favorite for all skill levels.

This is a nice park, and a great disc golf course. It's central, it's short, it's fun, and it has a wide variety of holes. Some complain that it's too short, but I started playing on courses that had 300+ foot holes, and you rarely threw 200 foot shots. You can bring your friends and they have fun, while you chase aces. It's shaded and drains well, so it plays in all conditions. And if you ace, it keeps you coming back for more!

Kentwood is a great disc golf course - it's a short course and great for fundamentals. It's a good mix of uphill and down hill shots that's not heavily wooded. Great for beginners and experienced players!

Forewarning - the course is rocky and loops on itself so watch out when someone yells "FORE". The course can get busy since it's close to NCSU and parking lot is small but there's parking available on the street.

A shorter hole disc golf course with lots of elevation changes. I'm visiting from out of town and this is probably one of the most fun courses I've played in my travels. Not to much in the way of signage but the locals put me in the right direction. I played on a Sunday and it gets a little busy but absolutely worth it.

If you like frisbee golf, this is the park for you. There are tennis courts, baseball field and playground. Clean restroom with hot water.

This is a beautiful little park with a great disc golf course for beginners. The course has a wide variety of holes for forehand and backhand players and good shade when it’s hot outside. All the holes have nice concrete tee pads and the course is always extremely well maintained.

Really enjoyed the park. Has a lot of things to do. I usually visit the place just to be in nature

Nice park for a game of Disc Golf! The holes were a little challenging to find our first time, and some even crossed through the others, but most of the folks playing were so helpful it didn't matter. Great park!

Fun disc golf course here but has gotten extremely crowded with the recent increase in popularity of the sport. Also has a nice looking playground for kids and tennis courts.

I come here a lot to play their disc golf course. It's always well maintained, and you really can't ask for anything more. I will continue to come here!

Great disc golf course

Great disc golf course especially if you like trees. Seems small when you are there but it has a full 18 holes around 200-250 feet. All par 3s and great first beginners.

Nice park, some wooded area, a shelter with 4 picnic tables, play ground equipment, some wooded area, and sports fields. And of course we cannot forget the disc golf.

Personally I find the disco golf more of a nuisance than a draw, but I understand that's just me and that plenty of people enjoy the activity. Overall I think it's great that accomodations for disc golf is there , I just wish you didn't have to dodge frisbees as often there.

When the park is less busy it's even nicer, but overall it's a great resource.

Great disc golf course for beginners and ladies. It can get crowded on the weekends and nice days so be ware of flying discs as it is on the tight side (it is a city course). Tennis courts, playground and newly renovated bathrooms that are pretty clean all year long.

Disc golf course was super fun. Since it's a par three course you can complete it in no time. Several different obstacles make this 18-hole course challenging, yet a lot of fun. I'd recommend this course for all skill levels of players.

Got there and it wasn't too crowded, but picked up while I was still there. Love the park for the playground and disc golf, which is very beginner friendly. My 5yr old was able to play with me the whole round, and we didn't disrupt any other groups.

Great area for disc gulf. Easy birdies , even for beginners. Ladies, if your going with your guy it's a great walk and beautiful scenery. Makes you want to throw a few discs to. Great play area as well with restrooms. The restrooms are not that clean but if you gotta go, it's better then a bush.

My absolute favorite Park. The scenery is just amazing, there's a medium sized stream running along the park. There is also a playground and clean bathrooms. I often see families and young men women enjoying the park and playing disc golf, I've never had any problems here, and it's always been clean and inviting.

My kid's love this park plus it's five minutes from where we stay witch is with my sister and her husband and 3 children. Just until myself my fiance' and 3 children find us a place to call home 🏡 hopefully soon because I am ready. But, on April 6, 2022 I broke my left ankle sliding down the hill. I was trying to walk to the bridge. I had my 10 month old baby girl in my hand at the time no she didn't get hurt. I held her until I sled on the ground. I will forever remember that date. Y'all ain't gotta worry about me walking down no more hills hopefully 😂! Other than that every is okay my ankle is healing up slowly. I can't wait to be walking on my foot again. My family and I is loving it here in Raleigh North Carolina!
