GORGEOUS man-made waterfall next to
BEAUTIFUL million-dollar homes! Sandy areas to walk around on and explore downstream a bit. Great place to skip rocks on the water, or fish, or have a picnic! What a pretty natural spot! 💦💦💦👍👍

If you happen to be in the area, check this place out. It's quite small but has a pretty waterfall and is peaceful. We enjoyed going there on a beautiful day

Absolutely beautiful! What a lovely hidden gem. For those that live close I’m sure it’s old news. But for those traveling or just wanting to enjoy nature this is a great setting to just see & enjoy nature. Parking is close by, it’s not a long walk. Just wear good shoes that you don’t mind getting dusty or possibly muddy. The sound of the water is so tranquil. It looks a little murky but hey that’s fine we know we’re not on the Atlantic. If you haven’t seen it yet then you should.

Fantastic paved path, good for biking, scooters, walking. Many folks on path walking dogs. Incredible vine/ivy covered tall pines and various trees in forest around. Walk through forest and neighborhood at the same time. River widens. Waterfall to see with it's soothing sounds.

Peaceful and serene. Hard for handicapped person to get down to where the fall is. (River)... Base of water is sand.

Catfish, Carp, and one other I do not remember, can be caught in the River.

Such a nice place and a hidden gem! This site has been used by mills since 1780 and I love that it’s a bit of hidden history in Raleigh. Great spot for a picnic, little hikes, or fishing (but don’t eat the fish I’ve been told!) and I loved listening to the waterfall!

This place is quite small but a fun trip with the little ones to see the water fall. The area is filled with trash from people who litter. It's sad because it just a hidden gem and we are not even from here, we are visiting from Fl. And went in an excursion to find a waterfall. Although this was not the waterfall we were looking for it was still beautiful...

Very quiet and secluded place to relax for a bit (bring a chair or something to sit on) or fish. You can sit on the bank or down by the waterfall. It's a really good HIDDEN gem! It's amazing that the local homeowners have this as their backdrop EVERYDAY!

Beautiful walk, you park in a parking lot and then you walk over the bridge crossing the main road to enjoy a beautiful walk and beautiful scenery. Just wish people would Not throw or leave their trash.

Sometimes you just want to go hang out near a waterfall. After a bit of looking I read about this gem of a park nestled in midtown Raleigh. Perfect, my husband and I spent about 45 minutes there on a Saturday evening around 6pm and it was delightfully quiet on a holiday weekend. During that time I only counted 9 other people. It was exactly what we were looking for and there was more trail we could have explored too. But it was a bit hot for our tastes so we took a short walk, mostly hung out on the rocks, and took some pictures. Definitely saw signs of some healthy animal life between dragonflies, a bat, songbirds, a butterfly, and fishermen who caught (and released) an impressive looking gar.

Excellent looking to come and just relax. The sound of the water was soothing. The kids had fun in the sand and couple of people were fishing. Just a Beautiful Park.

One of my favorite areas in Raleigh. You wouldn’t expect a decent sized waterfall right in the middle of north hills, but it’s there. There is a fun ‘beach’ area, but watch for glass, sometimes you will see some after a hard rain. Speaking of hard rain, check out the video I posted, it shows a guy riding the rapids after a huge storm passed through raleigh a couple years ago. Absolutely wild! No waterfall in sight!!

I would also recommend the short walk/run/ride down the greenway towards Anderson - absolutely beautiful part of the greenway. If you go just a bit further from there, you’ll be at Kiwanis park - a great park with some great fields and an off leash dog park.

A peaceful place to picnic on the sandy gravel or sit and listen to the sounds of falling water. Limited parking availability. Only one other visitor was present at the time I visited on a sunny fall weekend day.
