Dr. Grant is amazing. She's the best vet we've ever been to over the past 15 years and she's got an amazing team. Little side note: she helps out the local students by having them intern with her from nc state and/or local vetinary schools. Highly recommend for a reputable vet. She cares more about what is best for your babies rather than just making you spend a ton of money. We are never changing vets as long as we are in the area

Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Grant. I made the switch several months ago and haven’t looked back. She cares, she is affordable, and she know really know what she’s doing. My cat was clearly suffering and I had a lot of unanswered questions at a previous office. After refusing to give my cat fluids, answer any of my questions and try to convince me surgery was the best option, I was desperate to find someone who could help. Dr. Grant has been a blessing. She was able to diagnose my cats kidney disease and equip me with the information and tools to elongate his life. Thank you Dr. Grant! I am forever grateful for your concern and care 💙

I brought my hamster here for an eye infection and they made the appointment quickly, soothed him before treating him and gave me his medication. It's hard to find a hamster vet, let alone one that will sooth him first. He's very shy around strangers and he absolutely loves his Doctor.

In my experience, Dr. Grant is a solid vet you can rely on to provide evidence-based care. I appreciate that she is willing to take the time to explain the "science" part of medicine, because it arms me with important info and also enhances trust. And she cares! On top of that, the techs and office management staff provide excellent customer service. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and conscientious. You can tell everyone who works there is driven by the mission of helping animals - they are not just in it for the almighty dollar. Happy to have switched to this vet!

The care and attention that Dr. Grant gives my pups makes me feel as though she loves them as much as I do. I am a client for life.

Dr. Grant is one of those people that you know was meant to do what she does. I recently moved to North Carolina and needed heart worm care for my dog. Owners who have experienced this know how scary it can be. Dr. Grant and her entire team have been so kind, caring, and really take the time with their patients to educate them on what the healthcare plan of their animal looks like. I have all the faith in the world that my dog will make a smooth recovery. I am so thankful I found them!

Dr. Grant is awesome!! Truly cares about her pet patients. Our dog loves going to see her and her staff for routine check ups and boarding. We even had to take our dog to an emergency vet hospital for an injury and she followed up with us multiple times the next day to check on him. Highly recommend!

Dr. Grant & her staff are absolutely wonderful. Before we moved away they cared for my baby girl (Siamese cat) for years, when she was sick & when she needed a safe place to stay when we traveled.
In this picture Dr. Grant removed a concerning lump from Suga’s back, it was a scary time, but Dr. Grant saw us through to the other side.

I needed a vet to spay a kitten We found that had gone into heat. Dr Grant was so marvelous. She got us in quickly and performed the surgery very well. Suki our new kitty was eating the first night. She is now up and playing and back to her kitty self. The staff at Dr. Grant's hospital were so very nice and extremely efficient. I would trust her with all my pet nreds

Dr. Grant saw my chicken for a prolapsed vent. Also saw another chicken for fluid in the belly. Very reasonably priced and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Brought my 11yr old chihuahua in to see Dr. Grant for a second opinion, and I am beyond happy that I did. She knew what she was talking about and made me feel very comfortable and at ease with deciding to go through with the procedure that my pup needed. Not to mention, she doesn’t OVER charge like the other vets that I have been to. I am so pleased I have found my fur babies a wonderful vet. I have recently started taking my dogs to Dr. Grant and it was a great decision. She is knowledgeable and accommodating. She truly cares about my pets and provides such attentive care to each one. I’m so glad my pups are under Dr. Grant’s amazing care.

I've been going to a national chain for several years and that was fine for periodic checkups and such. Once the issues became more elaborate, the price of this national chain became out of control. Dr. Grant gave me a more personalized service in a more convenient time frame at a quarter of the price. My pup is doing so incredibly well now and I wasn't forced to choose between my pup's health and whether or not I was going to eat this month!! I'm so incredibly thankful and I sincerely recommend Lake Wheeler Veterinary Hospital to all that read this review.

I just can't say enough good things about my first encounter with Dr. Grant. I found her and her staff to be a personable, helpful, understanding, and reassuring during a really stressful time (someone sold me sick chickens, I have a 9 month old, and its a pandemic). She gave me a ton of excellent information and helped me collect samples for testing at the state lab. As a chicken keeper herself, she understands my relationship with the flock and my desire to take the best care of them I can within my budget. I will definitely be back with my dogs, and will use her for all chicken veterinary needs for now on.

They always do the exams right in front of you, I've never been to a vet that does that! One of my cats hates the vet and was biting and scratching, the staff knew exactly what to do and handled it perfectly without anyone getting hurt by my stressed kitty. Love this vet!

I am extremely happy with everything I've experienced here. Chicken Parents/Owners: I highly recommend this vet if you have a sick bird. I was shocked at how low the price was so don't think you can't afford to take a chicken to the vet if "Princess Lay-uh" is now a beloved family pet. The staff and the doctor are all extremely friendly and always easy to contact. Any questions I've had for the doctor over the phone have been answered within an hour. Call before you go to get updated procedures due to covid.
