My Francesca (15 week old Catahoula leopard) was really sick! We checked in, and she was seen so quick! In less than 5 minutes, we were in a room. The nurse was friendly, attentive, and amazing with her. The Vet was in the room minutes later. She was reassuring, knowledgeable, and had medicine in hand. Francesca was feeling relief from her symptoms minutes later. I am a helicopter parent, and I was so relived and relaxed due to their calm, reassuring, and knowledgeable nature. The fee was reasonable and cheaper than others in the area. The facility was beautiful. If anything ever happens again ( hopefully not ), I WILL ONLY GO THERE. The 1.5 hour drive was worth it!!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

I am SO glad someone recommended Oak Heart Vet in Saunders to me. We had terrible experiences at several other places, so this was a breath of fresh air. They actually allowed me in the room with my dog, explained everything to me/answered my questions, and let me decide what medications/vaccinations I wanted instead of automatically doing them and billing me way too much. I am a Registered Nurse and this process is how it should go, felt much more ethical. The vet tech and the vet were so kind to my doodle who can be quite anxious during his annual checkups due to previous bad experiences. When I called to schedule the appointment, I really thought the lady on the other end was an automated voice for a second because she was SO FRIENDLY!!! It was also very clean. The face of my dog says it all, couldn’t recommend this place more

I brought my elderly dog here for seizures this past weekend. Despite being here for an emergency, this was a phenomenal experience. Everyone that helped us was compassionate and so nice. They treated our dog so kindly and I felt so comfortable knowing she was in good hands for her overnight stay. Overall, everyone was so professional and also very kind. 15/10!!!

This little boy gave us quite a scare at bedtime this weekend. After the regular ER vet we see told us it was a 4-6 hour wait and that no one would come out to help with lifesaving measures if he took a turn for the worse, we called Oakheart not knowing what to expect.

From the initial phone call I was immediately put more at ease. While there was a 3-4 hour wait expected we were assured someone could come help if he was critical. We have found our puppy people. The staff was so kind and helpful. Everyone was genuinely concerned for our baby and were all so accommodating from the start to finish. Dr. Blackburn and the team on 7/10 - you have impressed us so much we'll be back for sure for regular visits and hopefully no more emergency ones!

Hammy is feeling much better now after a few days of being babied and getting A LOT of rest.

I'm from Charlotte and have only been in Raleigh for a year. I thought I had a good vet in Charlotte, Oak Heart shockingly surpassed my expectations. The vet was so through with my two pups and gave lots of time to each and to talk to me about them. I am so happy I found a veterinary clinic that is so compassionate about what they do! I'll be back agsin, again and again.
Thank you!!

I am so grateful for the folks at Oak Heart South Saunders. My dog wasn’t feeling well, and was acting off. Our vet wasn’t available so they recommended we come here for emergency care. Dr. Frederick and the vet tech, Ricky were excellent. They kept me informed throughout my visit. Dr. Frederick provided me with different treatment options, and was very thorough yet efficient. They both displayed true professionalism and were compassionate towards my pup. I can trust that my dog is in excellent hands here.

Dr. Oden and her team were amazing. Super friendly, compassionate and informative. We had an eye emergency with our dog, on a Sunday morning. From our first call to them, to our interaction with the vet tech, to Dr. Oden, it was a great experience. Thank you for all you do!

Found a pretty bedraggled, starving, scared pup who was almost hit on I95 on a Saturday evening. Eyes swollen, ear issues, covered with scratches. Ended up at Oak Heart, after issues with another local vet office. Entire staff was outstanding. Actually met with the two Vets on duty, who were both professional and cared what happens.

Even if it isn't one of your 'family' - bring your pet-pal here. They will be taken care of well. My thanks to the entire staff for making a bad situation turn out great.

The staff at Oak Heart were all super sweet. Everyone worked quickly and efficiently and we're able to see to my cat shortly after I got there. Unfortunately in the end he had to be put down, but everyone there was so kind and supportive. Special thanks to Michaela for being so nice and supportive!

I cannot express how grateful I am with Oak Heart veterinary! After my dog needed an emergency C section, I thought she wouldn't make it through. Dr. Brown and Dr. Rubinstein literally saved my baby. Every one there were so kind and gentle I literally cried my eyes out. Alyssa went above and beyond to help us out in finding solutions to our payment. I'm so happy and grateful with them, i definitely recommend them! I love that they answer the phone quick too!

After a number of poor experiences with other vets in the area I decided to try Oak Heart on South Saunders.

BEST. DECISION. E-V-E-R.

Not only was the care better - from the front staff to the techs to the vets - but the cost was significantly lower than other vet offices we had been to.

We’ve been through both the emergency services and regularly scheduled appointments and unless the apocalypse hits and Oak Heart on South Saunders is wiped from the face of the earth we’ll be sticking with Oak Heart.

Great staff. Very well organized and tends to be a relatively quick trip in and out of the office.

My only gripe is one of my dogs had giardia and the first antibiotic didn’t get rid of it, and the second we purchased from the vet clinic as well, but it was about double the cost of the same pills on Chewy.

Great practice, but if you have time, would recommend asking for written prescriptions and submitting to an online store.

I have had to use Oak Heart for emergency situations twice in the last year and have been very happy with both visits. The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional, all while making sure my dogs were well taken care of.

We were visiting our daughter in Raleigh when our dog had a seizure. We were referred by a friend and this vet hospital was amazing! We had no appointment, but were taken right back . Dr Brown ...and every staff member we encountered was professional and courteous! We were not pressured to spend extra money on expensive tests or medications and were given the opportunity to ask questions without being rushed. We hope to not need to return to this emergency clinic but we highly recommend this place to anyone needing emergency vet services.

We had to help our boy cross the rainbow bridge last night quite suddenly. The staff were very kind, patient, and understanding. They explained everything and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and grieve over our boy. I can’t thank them enough for making a very difficult decision a little easier by walking me through it all.

I was scared our old vet but we are just as happy, if not more, with Oak Heart!!! They are super awesome with our animals and they are extremely decently priced. I am really glad I finally made the move to change vets. I'll still go to our old vet for the Pro-Heary injection for our dogs, but I am super happy to have such a good and decent priced vet near our home 😊

In a sudden decline in our Raider Dog's condition- collapsed Trachea, along with a hear Murmur, despite medications from our local vet, His condition took a severe decline on the weekend- where he fought to breathe, and lost mobility. It was a sudden and severe decline, and Oak Heart was available to see us quickly and consulted with our decision that Raider needed to be euthanized to end his suffering. His 14+ years with us brought so much joy and vitality- and personality!
I want to commend all the staff- from the very considerate receptionist that took our call, the Assistant Aide /intern that met us and , finally the VET who took her time both examining Raider and going over our choices- and, ultimately performing the final Chapter of Raider's passage- with compassion for him and for us. While Lolo's heart is aching for the loss of her beloved Raider, the folks at Oak Hart helped us through the most difficult and emotional decision we've had to make with compassion and empathy .
I recommend them , and wish I had written down their names -
staff 8.12.23 @ 7 pm on a Saturday night.
In the OakHart response, please provide their names.
Thank you! Kevin and Lois ....

Chiquita (like the banana) and I made our first visit to Oak Heart this weekend to update her vaccines and do a little pre-flight annul checkup before scheduling her upcoming dental cleaning. The new facility is very nice and I liked that we got to skip through the traditional waiting room since we were greeted by the technician and even complete the checkout in the exam room. All of the crew here was friendly and clearly enjoyed working with pets. Dr. Stone was friendly and made sure to take her time with our Nervous Nellie. Welcome to the South Raleigh neighborhood, Oak Heart!

We took our sweet boy here because he ate string and he ended up having to be euthanized. A week later we got this in the mail from these amazing people.
