Great store and owner. I've been stopping in for more than a decade and always enjoy catching up with him. He knows all of the music and prices his records super fair not based just on the title, but on the pressing and condition which is rare nowadays. He's a one man shop always "making it happen."

Record Krate is one of my favorite record shops in Raleigh. They always have new inventory and there's plenty to dig through. Adam is great and always lovely to chat with!

If you are a fan of looking for your own personal musical treasure, then this is the place for you. You will find new & pre-loved vinyl, cassettes, 45's, 8 tracks, hi fi equipment, musical related t- shirts & more. I always enjoy the challenge of "the dig" to see what I can find. If you have any questions, then ask proprietor Adam & he can answer your questions or direct you to an area of your musical interest. I recommend repeated visits to take advantage of new arrivals & to familiarize yourself with the shop. You can also keep up with all the latest info about Record Krate if you follow the shop on YouTube & Instagram.

Adam is very knowledgeable about his inventory and he values giving the customers a good experience. He doesn’t cater to the mass-produced-dime-a-dozen clientele. Picked up some artists I’ve never heard of! Excited to stop back by Record Krate the next time I’m town.

For those giving him a hard time about his mask and person limit, understand it's for your protection and his. I don't mind it at all and it actually helps me feel at ease. I can krate dig as long as I like and I don't have to worry about being in a confined space for too long. I mostly visit the Wake Forest location as it is the closest for me. But whether you go to the Wake Forest location or Raleigh location, it's always a great experience. He has a great vinyl selection to choose from and he also has other types of media like CD's and cassettes. I love to go krate dig and chat with Adam! He also does online sales as well and I have been very satisfied with those as well!

My first time in, and I walked in without a mask. The owner asked that I put a mask on which I had no problem doing - his shop, his rules. Great selection of vinyl, and a cute shop cat, named Nico. Left with 3 records. Will be back.

Awesome store. Owner and the rest of the staff are very knowledgable and eager to help you find something your looking for. Very easy to talk to and more helpful than any other record store owner/employees I've met in the past. They encourage record inspection before buying and will spin a record for you over speakers so you can actually hear. Very large used selection. Cozy little environment as well. Hard to find though. It's on the backside of the building its in. Really great store. wish there was something this good in Charlotte.

i seriously don’t know what all these reviews are talking about calling the owner rude. sure, there is a two person capacity and you have to wait in line but he’s not rude about it, he just enforces it for safety reasons. he’s actually very nice, he was helpful when i asked him questions and even cracked a couple jokes. i would definitely go back and purchase again!

The Krate is an amazing place. Not only do I go there for all my vinyl needs, the atmosphere creating by Adam, the owner, is unmatchable by any other place I've been. It's a fun place to be, whether you are out to buy records or just to go hang out will good people. I've met many friends there and I go as often as I can, even if it is just to hang out and talk.

It's like our own Championship Vinyl in Raleigh (thankfully without Jack Black). Kirk is great. The collections are great. The prices are great. It's really hard to stop with only one or two selections.

Kirk is the nicest guy. We stopped in today, after about two years since our last visit. Not only did he remember my fiancé and I, but he pulled a record out of a stack he was pricing that he knew I’d love - can’t believe he remembered after all this time! Rock on, Kirk!

Great choice of music. Adam is Great. I know him personally. Thank you for being concerned about our health and requiring masks and limiting the number of customers. Anyone who is ignorant enough to give a bad review, must have a problem following rules.

I've been shopping at The Krate for several months now. It is a hole in the wall, but the owner knows his music, loves his records, and it shows. Selection is great and there's always new stuff coming in. I have never left empty handed. Best record store in the RDU area without a doubt.

I found a bunch of great, eclectic, good-condition used vinyl here, all for very decent deals. It’s a cool and well-organized place to crate dig, and the owner is soft-spoken and friendly.

This is by far the best record store in the Triangle area. Great vinyl, quirky coolness, and the owner, Kirk, is top-notch and knowledgeable. I frequent this place at least once a week.

When traveling to Raleigh I always try to make time to stop in and check out the selection. Adam is always welcoming and the variety and quantity of records means i'm likely to find at least a few that need a new forever home.

It's a nice hole is the wall place to shop for records. Not to much in the way of brand new music but a ton of old records. Prices are pretty good too. I will be stoping by again
