Clean, open spaces, never crowded. Public events held here sometimes and it's very peaceful. Surrounded by government buildings, and the views of downtown are beautiful.

Truly a breath of fresh air! Halifax Mall is a gem in the heart of downtown Raleigh and a real happy place to unplug and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This getaway is the perfect promenade for extended dog walks, getting that fit life, or as Cinco’s would have it, the best spot to catch a vibe and soak up ALL the Sun!

The lawn is a sacred spot for the stressed-out office drones who flock to it every evening, seeking some green relief from their cubicle hell. They don't appreciate the sight of tourists who drive up and park their cars on the grass, thinking it's a free gym. Those people should find something better to do with their lives, like knitting or sudoku.

Great spot for a walk or a picnic. But watch out for the dog exhaust...many come here to off leash their dogs and don't bother to clean up after them. Great spot to kick a ball or toss a frisbee.

I've been here twice - once when Obama spoke in late 2007 before his first election and again in 2018 for the March For Our Lives. It's a very nice open space for an event or picnic. It's also a good place to hang out and enjoy a little fresh air if you're downtown and don't want to deal with the crowds in Moore or Nash Squares.

This public space is great! They host a lot of big events and it's great place to find people playing frisbee, kickball, working out and playing with their pups.

Beautiful place for a sunny day, or a Saturday rally.
