Brought in my new puppy (8 weeks) and being a first time puppy dad was still a little lost and nervous. They took their time with me and walked me through everything and made me feel very comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Hayes Barton was recommended to me by three separate neighbors when I moved to Raleigh and has been great for both my dog and my cat. The staff are friendly and they have a great system for keeping your pets up to date with all vaccinations and check ups. They are all great folks here.

The staff here are incredible. They really listen to your concerns and are very gentle with you pet. They are also dedicated to finding a solution and seem genuinely concerned for your pets well being. We just moved here and my dog is having issues with her ears and they are working hard to help her! If you are searching for a new veterinary this is the place to go!

Have taken our two dogs here for years. Cannot imagine a better vet/clinic to care for our dogs. Everyone that works there is compassionate about the animals they care for. They work with you to care for your animal. Their pricing is very reasonable. They follow up on every situation/condition/visit and know each of the animals by name.

Dr. Cassidy and the entire staff at Hayes Barton Animal Hospital are the best! We have been taking our dog Ollie there for a few months now, and they have never been anything but kind and gentle. Dr. Cassidy is extremely knowledgeable and has been able to assist us with diagnosing and treating an ongoing tick disease that Ollie has been struggling with. We took our dog, Cooper, for his first visit to get established care and we were SO happy with the team at Hayes Barton. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were seen quickly. Dr. Luke was very thorough, caring, and you could tell she was very knowledgeable! We also had tests ran and got the results the next day and all results were texted & emailed to us promptly. We are so happy we chose this office for vet care— our pup is in the best hands!

Over the years I've been to a number of vets in the area. Upon going here I knew I had found where I felt most confident taking my pets.

Hayes Barton was the reason my cat got the care and surgery she needed after having a strange side effects from her former owners declaw. They also are very thorough and cat friendly. I had to take my cat to get a vaccine out of state and am realizing how many places don't offer the cat specific rabies vaccine. Just little things Hayes Barton did to assure the best care that I wasn't even fully aware of!

I've been taking my somewhat-high-maintenance dog to Hayes Barton for about a year, and cannot recommend them enough! They've been helpful and supportive through a series of digestive and allergy issues, consistently providing excellent care and recommendations for treatment and are always very friendly. Price-wise they're on par with our previous provider, but I feel like we're getting much more personalized attention here.

I also love that they stay open late a couple of days each week, so I don't have to take any time off work for appointments.

The staff at Hayes Barton are truly amazing people who really care for your pets. My Cat hated getting in the car (vomiting, yowling etc.) and their staff was always super accommodating in making sure we limited her visits as much as possible. In the last few months as we have navigated her end of life care their staff has gone above in beyond in helping getting me quick answers to my questions, and treatments when needed. They truly care about your furred family members and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. We will totally be bringing our future furred members of the family here.

Hayes Barton Animal Hospital is an amazing place to take your animals and it’s indeed, the only place that I take my animals. All four of my fur babies love the staff (If they could talk they would tell me that). The doctors are extremely caring and personal. You’re treated like family when you take your animals in. All staff in the back seem to be very knowledgeable and take pride in their jobs. Wouldn’t go to any other animal hospital!

We are on our third fur baby with HB and have always been extremely pleased. We even took our son's rescue beagle there when she visited. Thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable staff. Our dogs have always been happy to visit the vet!!!

I have never even been inside the building but I’ve never felt so comfortable taking my dog somewhere. I got my pup Max at the beginning of the pandemic, and he’s only ever been seen by the staff at Hayes Barton. They are so loving and kind and thorough. I always know Max is going to get excellent care. They go above and beyond to communicate with parents during the pandemic since we can’t go inside. They also clearly care about the animals they treat. Whenever Max has been sick, they always call to check in and make sure he’s recovering. I’ll never take a pet anywhere else in Raleigh!

Dr Luke and the team at Hayes Barton are hands down the best. Both of my dogs love them, and know them by name. They follow up and check on them often and are so empathetic and talk me through everything. I couldn’t ask for a better partner in taking care of my fur babies. Dr Luke just called me after hours to check in - and caught me in a dog stress moment and reassured me everything was ok. I am so thankful.

I have been using Hayes Barton Animal Hospital for close to 20 years. As someone involved in animal rescue, I have probably taken close to 70 animals to Hayes Barton Animal Hospital and they have always treated each animal just like my personal pets. They spayed and neutered an entire colony of cats for me years ago, even though most of the cats were feral. Every time I have had to euthanize a pet, the vets are so compassionate, some even crying when I do.
The staff is amazing. Friendly, helpful and always there when you need them. I can call with an animal issue and they let me come right in - they always put the animal's needs first.
I can't imagine taking any of my pets anywhere else. The folks at Hayes Barton have spoiled me. They are a rare clinic where you feel at home, and able to be open and communicate your needs and your pet's needs, and know they will be met.
And they are excellent about informing you of procedures your pet doesn't need, in an effort to lower your cost but also to reduce the stress on your pet.

Premium care in a friendly, family atmosphere. HBAH is so committed to delivering a great and thorough experience with every visit. Because I've relocated a good bit in my life, I've had an opportunity to experience many veterinarians. These guys stand apart. From the welcome notes, to the great reception, and prompt service, they are just the best practice I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently and yet I never feel rushed when my dog is being seen. I have the feeling they would spend as much time with me as i needed to ask questions. My dog had to have a small procedure done, and they were just awesome with followup. Plus, it's the first place I've taken my timid dog that she actually enjoys going and doesn't want to leave! Excellent in every aspect!

I took my girl Vera here and Dr. Manchester saw her even though he's retired. She has skin issues and he encouraged me to give them a call and ask for him again if she has issues in the future because he has a lot of experience in dermatology.

Dr. Cassidy is also wonderful and I've seen her several times as well. The staff here is always welcoming and I feel that I'd be hard pressed to find better care for my animals. From the front desk to the vet techs to the Veterinarians themselves.

I've been going here for a couple years now, I've even boarded my animals here in the past. This practice is wonderful and I couldn't recommend them more.

I have been going to Hayes Barton for well over 10 years. I am a neurotic, "my pets are my children/family" pet owner. I would not go anywhere else. Some of the reviews have highlighted the cost of Hayes Barton - I have not value shopped my vet. I feel confident I could find lower cost services (cant you always in the age of Amazon?) but I am not willing to sacrifice the talent or service that I have at HB. Dr Cassidy has been with HB the entire length of my time and she is excellent. I have lived in several large cities and she is by far the best vet we have ever seen. She is the rare mix of compassion and care with knowledge and an honest approach that puts your pet first. The techs are compassionate and confident in their roles. The space is very clean and modern. This is a small, local business trying to compete with conglomerates. I think having low turn-over with a staff results in a really committed team of people that know your pet - it directly impacts care.
HB has made the decision to invest in their staff and I think you get what you pay for in today's market - the parking lot is usually full so a lot of people agree. I would not consider going anywhere else.

Best Vet in Raleigh! The doctors and staff are so very kind, they take amazing care of all our of animals! Always willing to work you in if you have an emergency and have late after work hours and weekends too! Seriously, don't look anywhere else for amazing pet care, Hayes Barton is the best!!
